    Thanks for the video, Dennis ! I also have some problems with my spine because of staying too much in front of PC. I have a fitness device which is designed to train muscles of the back. It really helps. When I have spine pain, 2-3 working sessions will already eliminate the pain. So I used to do 2 working sessions per week and this is enough to maintain muscles and avoid pain in my spine. But of course, you have to ask the doctor what is the best in your case. If the damage is big, I am not sure if is recomended to use fitness devices.

    It a complete turnoff for me..never seen an individual bird chased so hard by so many selfish people as this one. I'd rather photograph Blackbirds from now on to infinity and get a semirare now and then, which is my own and I know will have peace when I leave. #gentleman

    So the DOF of a m4/3 of a 150-400’s F4.5 equivalent in full frame is f9? Thanks

    • @DennisJacobsenWildlife
      @DennisJacobsenWildlife 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I dont know the the exact aperture but its up there so you cant get the shallow DOF you get on FF but i actually think with OM-1 and the 150-400 f4.5 it looks good in most situations 😁

    I've not had the pleasure of using any Nikon Z camera, but I have two D810 bodies (with battery packs) that replaced D4s bodies and an OM-D E-M1 MkII with battery grip. I shoot B2B events (conferences & exhibitions), fashion events (such as London Fashion Week) and live music (from unknown bands in dingy pubs & clubs to the Rolling Stones at Glastonbury). For live music it will always be the Nikons, but for the fashion shows the Olympus with the 40-150mm is around half the weight of the Nikon with a Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 My back and shoulders thank me. Image quality wise - given most images end up in newspapers or newspaper web sites - there's very little in it between full frame and MFT. You only really notice a difference if you're doing exhibition size prints or larger, which I'm not. I also use the Olympus at B2B events as, again, it's much lighter when carrying gear around all day (9am-5.30pm or beyond) without much of a break.

    Hi Dennis, Great footage. Though I must say that I am a bit worried about disturbing them, especially if they have offspring. A famous photographer and ecologist in the Netherlands told me he used the method of putting a piece of clothing nearby a beaver lodge for a week. When he arrived later to photograph the beavers they didn't react to his appearance and kept behaving normally. When he took a friend with him some other time and didn't put cloths nearby in advance. The beavers fled immediately. I know foxes are completely different mammals. Maybe it is worth a try. Although I hope they don't find it threatening and abandon their house. I am also curious about your thermal camera. Which one do you use? As I am consider buying one.

    • @DennisJacobsenWildlife
      @DennisJacobsenWildlife 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks 😁 I let the fox den because the location was hard to keep a safe distance from so i stoppet the project to give them peace ar their home😁 good advice with leave som clothes in the area so they get use to the sent 👍🏻 and for thermal i think most brands are equally good .. the sensor in mine are 640 ish in px size and 35mm lens and they give super perfomance for spotting wildlife

    The big Nikon push. Been hitting a location for Osprey lately. Divided mostly between Z9's, a Z8 & some A1 cameras & throw in a Canon R5 every once in a while. About 35 years ago I had problems with L4/5. One exploded & the other herniated. MRI of exploded disk looked like a picture of outer space. Took out the exploded one & left the other in. The other started bothering me during Covid due to the nature of my work. Couldn't get any help at that time. I just walked. Never been back to work. Money isn't worth it. Rather live in a cardboard box if need be. Good luck with your back. They do really good work these days & might even replace your disk with a new one rather than just take out the bad one & let your spine drop & heal like a broken bone. Watch for trimming the swollen disk! = Scar tissue can grow around your spinal!

    The problem is the lens F4.5 is just to slow, unless you have alot better light. You need to be shooting at F2.8 or F3.2 max for best results. P.s a tripod will slow you down if you need a surport then use a monopod.
