Man ALIVE! That stunning Nikkor 400mm f/2.8 with the built-in TC.
Amazing lens, and the flycatcher is beautiful too.

so short, i really wish this video would not end, what beautiful moments you had with this beauty.
saw it for the first time back in August 2007 on the top of a neem tree in my garden here in Jeddah, that time i was not very much informative about migrating birds, next year same time it was on that same tree, but i knew a little more about it, but still no photography skills, it seemed to be a real rare visit as its a mega rarity here in western Arabia. i am still waiting for another rare visit.
    thanks so the beautiful video.

Dennis why did you switch away from your Sony gear? I thought you had the A1 and 600GM which is considered the gold standard for birding? Nice video. Ttyl

Thank you 😁 well hmm 😂 I wanted try something new and the Z9 with the Z 400mm was what i went with 😁 The A1 and GM600 is the best i have used for bird photos but Z9 is the best hybrid i have used and like the size and functions better on the Z9, Bird AF in video, pro-capture, Auto-capture and so on. But both are fantastic systems 🙏🏻

nice video . thanks for sharing . its a nice feeling to spend time alone with wildlife and capturing their beauty . also . it is easy to mistaken this bird with a robin .

Was it not possible to photograph the bird in flight? Or was the bird too close and too fast?

I dident go for action this time but mayby it could have been done with pro-capture on the Z9 😁

Interesting, could easily be mistaken for a European Robin!
