SIRUI AM-404FL+QC-38 Review from a bird photographer perspective

A great product I have one, the only time it fails is when you have to deploy it in Brush or thicket the legs get caught, obvious but can be awkward, otherwise the support given is surprisingly good better than a Monopod . I compared one to a Monopod a couple of years ago in a video. Next week I am featuring 3 Sirui products in one video . Great support and well made 👍Love Sirui products

A very good review. I've had Sirui 424S carbon fibre version for the last 7 years. It's simply amazing. But yeah, the new one seems a lot easier and faster to adjust because of clamping mechanism. However, one thing I would have loved to see covered in the video is the need for a separate ball head to really be able to use it for vertical panning/tilting because the functionality afforded by the ball head in the foot for this purpose is really not smooth and mostly constrictive. There were times I missed shots when trying to shoot flying birds because of this until I added their L-20S tilt head which really brought in that ability. But all in all, these monopods with feet from Sirui are really game-changing. Highly recommend.

Thank you Dennis.
I was looking for a strong tabletop tripod, but didn't want to get a second one to take on photography walks.
This product, is versatile enough to suit both purposes for me, and the cost is also palatable.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I will definitely buy one.
Hahahahaha perhaps 2, since I need 1 for my tabletop for my video camera webEx or streaming, as well as for going out and about.

I left it on here 😀 i rarely turn IS off no matter how i use the camera
