I thought that the Piranha would be of interest to you. This is the first one i have seen in real life so was good to see . Also the first time i have seen an RS2600 really like the colour scheme. Much more interesting than the RS3100. It would have been nice to have spent more time talking to the owners and more pictures but you know what its like there was so much to see if i had there would have been more i didn't see. The Escorts my favourites were the Mk1 Rally, Daytona yellow Mk1 Mexico, the mk2 Harrier and 1.6 ghia and the mk3 Xr3 and rs1600( i always liked the look of them ) more than a normal xr3. Thanks JT. The white /blue at 1.12 is the Capri RS2600 only available in Europe as LHD and not marketed in the UK so we got the RS3100 which was built for homologation purposes. I quite liked the paint job on the RS2600 very striking. The red car at 2.44 looked even better in real life a real stunner. The colour at 8.15 i seem to recall was Jade Green. The Escort rally car at 12.07 the Escort had a lot of success in rallying. In 1970 there was a rally which ran from London to Mexico which was won by the Ford Escort hence the sporty model the Mexico was introduced. Thanks for watching and your support is appreciated. For me i liked the Mk3 Capri followed by the facelift Mk1. I was never really keen on the launch model. Every morning on my way to Junior school i walked past a Ford showroom which was directly across the road form the school , i always had to look in the window at the new models. Don't know if it helps you feel any better but the Allegro was probably less of a poverty spec than a mk2 Escort. The popular in particular was really basic and looked it. Ok so your street cred may have gone with the Allegro in russet brown but at least you were mobile which gave you more cred than no car at all.

I did capture some footage of Rootes group cars on display on the day and they will feature in a separate video at a later date. Knowing that there are two camps ie Ford fans and Rootes fans it made more sense to just release a video on each separate brand which is why it was headed Old Ford car rally and listed models featured. The Rootes videos however will be a mix of Rootes cars in each and not model specific. There was so much to see on the day and time was running short when i got to see the Rootes cars so i wasn't able to spend as much time on them as i may have liked and i ran out of battery power. However there were some real nice cars and some rather special ones.

It was a really good show and pleased you enjoyed it. if your a fan of Fords there will be more model specific videos to follow, equally if you like Rootes group there will be a couple of videos on those.

I think the two door looks much sportier and as you say rarer. Very nice. What colour,? They did make some rather special colours. I agree they are very striking cars and as i said i like the double headlights over the later 2000E. Great that it gives you so much enjoyment ,that's what its all about , that and the memories. Have you checked out the You Tube channel Cortina City? It features the GXL Cortina. If you haven't already viewed it , it may be worth checking it out. Thanks JT pleased you enjoyed it. I was never really a fan of the Rapier but this car was one which could make you change your opinion. As i said i had never seen the Barracuda in the styling cues until i was doing the video. Don't know if you are familiar with Bob Riggle and the Hemi under glass(Barracuda). I was fortunate to meet him back in 2004 at the Goodwood festival of Speed. I believe it was also his Birthday on that date. He only made two appearances i think at Goodwood the last one not long before he died in 2023. Not sure about other work vignale did for Triumph but Michelloti did a lot of design work for Triumph. Thanks Paul and Happy New year. The Consul Classic they really had gone to town on this car and what a fantastic job they had made of it. You can't help but admire the engineering involved as well as the coachwork. A real work of art. As you see the video was centred around certain models. There will be further videos from this show all model specific rather than bundling them all together.

I had forgotten about the trim bars and although i was aware i had never been able to check out the lines of trim but your quite correct. Not sure why the front grille bars were thinner but seem to recall the suggestion that it was to aid cooling further? They are both very subtle differences but its good to know and pass on the info. thanks again.👍

My Uncle had a green Mk3 Zephyr 6 and the first car i ever drove was a Zodiac Mk2 . Another car a member of the family had was a Mk2 Consul two tone yellow/white with sun visor and hunter lights. You cant beat a good big luxury car. You own a 68 Plymouth very nice indeed. The PC Cresta and Viscount in particular are a rare thing now. I remember someone who had a Viscount back in the 70/80's dark maroon/purple with black leather i recall. Big old cars and they had a 3.3 litre engine. Hope you are now on the mend and that your shoulder is starting to show improvement although i know you still have far to go yet. I would agree about the wire sculpture . The Zephyr estates are really quite rare models and the blue one was very nice indeed nice colour as well. The seats in the Consul classic i thought Rover don't think 75 but thought possibly 45. I have lots of videos to come from this show and have split them down into different models as best i could rather than it be just everything each video. There is a video on Capri's if that is what you were hoping for.

@TipTopMotors. Yes, Rover 45 is of course also possible due to the smaller size. At least the design of the seats is reminding very much to the Rover seats of the era of the 45, 75 ... looking very familiar to it.

Happy New year to you both. Gaydon isn't too far for you about 1hr 30 to 2 hrs? If you do go be sure to convert your ticket to an annual ticket it doesn't cost any more than single entry and allows entry for most shows and the museum. Its definitely worth visiting.

I knew someone who had an 18/85 in Wild Moss before my Dad got the Wolseley. I can't say i was aware of Rheingold metallic i mistakenly thought it was Brazil metallic so that's interesting to know. The only other metallic colour i recall being used was Lagoon. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@TipTopMotors. Brazil metallic was offered on the 18/22 series "wedge" which became the Princess.

Sorry i don't have a lot of information about this car. I understand in 1963 the Regal crossed through the Sahara desert.

The standard of cars on show is quite high these days compared to a few years ago so its not easy to single them out as there are so many lovely cars but there are a few for whatever reason just catch your attention. Like you I still have quite a few shows which have not been aired. I also like the new Mini ,had they remained a part of the Rover group it may have been a different story and outcome for them. I would just like to wish you are your family a very Merry Christmas whatever you are doing my friend and i hope it is special for you.

@TipTopMotors. The "BMW" Mini is also pretty popular over here. Once I've been to a Mini Meet and I actually expected to see mostlikely the old ones and I was surprised it were mostlikely the modern ones. I am not a big fan of the new tail lights on the brandnew Mini. The triangle shaped tail lights are looking odd to me. Thank you very much Glyn! They are a car that always seem to attract a lot of attention and as you say were like nothing else when they came out. They had quite a long production run which says it all. This was a nice car and very comfortable to sit in the owner invited me to sit inside which was very kind of him. I think it suits the colour very well. I think it was the way in which they bolted together which was quite revolutionary. Pleased it brought back some happy memories. Thanks for watching.

I agree about the mk1 Capri it was really rather nice and not a colour i ever recall seeing before. The mk2 Fiesta also was in remarkable condition probably one of those cars bought new by someone on retirement or in retirement and looked after making just short trips. They do appear occasionally if your lucky. The Honda s2000 i love the styling on these and they are well respected, sell for high prices and are in demand. The Sirocco owner is a goth which is why its dressed up as it is. I've seen it twice maybe three times and it always attracts a lot of attention particularly from kids. Have a good weekend Sven.

Very cool to own a dune buggy.😎. I seem to recall Steve McQueen driving one in a film. As they are not so common now it makes them seem ever more cool. The Citroen DS are well loved and desired cars. I thought it was perhaps a period colour but on speaking to the owner they told me they made the colour up with a blend of colours and despite not being an original colour it looks right and suits the car. The Ford Capri at 4.38 i agree was a nice colour and not one i was very familiar with. They sold as a Mercury in the US i understand. The 1300E (executive) in purple velvet was a popular colour of the time and very nice as is this car. It wasn't all boring colours in the 70's despite what people say. I have always liked the Aston DB7 again nice colour. The car at 15.45 your correct its a Vauxhall Firenza a sporty version of the Viva. The front end is referred to as droop snoot. I'd never seen the 69 Buick special special so it was good to see. You have a good knowledge of foreign cars Justin. Thanks for watching and your support its appreciated.👍

I'm not normally a lover of brown as a colour or on cars but the sable on the Daimler i don't mind. The 1800 S is quite a rare car these days as is the Riley Kestrel. I've never really been a lover of the Anglia. Have a good weekend Sven.

The Blue Black Rolls was beautifully restored and i agree the Sable Daimler was a lovely car and well priced. The Rover 3.5 litre is the V8. The previous model had a 3 litre engine and was called the P5. When the 3.5 engine was fitted it became the P5b the B stands for Buick which is where the engine came from the good old US of A. A much loved engine in Rover circles. The wheels are called Rostyle wheels and yes they do have a Mag style to them. The white and red MGB GT was a nice car i love the colour combo. Hope your both keeping well. Ormesby Hall is one of those places that's in my back yard and as usual you often overlook these places and don't bother visiting. This year for the first time we finally visited. It was a free entry show for us and we also got to look around the house so it was a nice day. The Daimler, i agree. i thought seemed good value and it was a nice car indeed. The sable and tan trim suited the car well. The elf appeared in one of my shows at Ripon back in 2023. There nice little car and between the Wolseley the Riley is the one to have. Best wishes.

Thank you Dan. Unfortunately I wont be able to attend POL next year as i have other plans which conflict. No doubt as i cant go next year the weather will probably be ok. 🤣I was all set to go to this years in April gone , booked my Hotel and then as you know it was cancelled 7 days before. I was most disappointed as i was going to attend POL Saturday and Sunday go to the 75 and MG ZT owners meeting on the Sunday. I decided not to cancel my hotel and still attended the 75 owners meeting on the Sunday at Gaydon. It was a good turn out and we got to meet and talk with those involved with the production of the 75 and the designer Richard Wooley. ​@TipTopMotors. Ohh yes, the great British weather always puts a stop to things 😂. And thats the way it will be, next year i bet the sun will be shining and nice and warm 🤣. It was abit disappointing for yourself and many others, who booked hotels etc, there was alot of money spent for the event just to be cancelled 7 days before. It was nobody's fault just the great British weather. I planning to go as well this year, but yes due to the weather it was cancelled. It was not so much of a problem for me as I live in Walsall but still annoying really. I would love to own a V8 one day, either Rover or MG version. Oh I'll have alook for the video and give it a watch if I haven't already.

Hello and welcome. I always find it interesting to know which part of the world viewers live. The power of the internet makes the world much smaller. I'm pleased you enjoyed the view and told me where you live.. The videos i produce as you gather centre around cars, Car shows , occasional one off specials , cars for sale caught in the classifieds that interest me, and just recently a couple of classic car auctions. At some point i may also introduce a few of my old toy cars from when i was a child, Dinky's Corgis as some viewers are into model cars. I have also produced some videos on my own cars., so hopefully you will find something to entertain. I appreciate the fact you said hello and commented as you did its good to know that someone has enjoyed it. Without feedback you don't know what people enjoy. Cheers.👍

The Dixi i saw one in April at the British Motor museum and have yet to show it i thought it might be of interest to you which is why i took images. There were so many cars i liked in the sale and some real bargains and i liked the Bentley GTC but for me the Turbo R beat it as i think there more classy a proper Bentley.

@@TipTopMotors. The Dixi is really interesting. I did know it was a licensed built as same as the Isetta. But I didn't know what car (or didn't remember) but when you was showing the image then I was pretty sure it must have been the Austin Seven and yes it is 🙂 The website is really showing interesting cars. The most of course only to dream about it - at least when looking at my bank account, haha 😀 The Turbo R is for me also more classy as a proper Bentley although the Continental GTC is really also a wonderful looking car.
