Great video. I'm having an issue however when I scan. It'll make close to a perfect scan on the first rotation, but on the 2nd rotation, it will make another copy completely ruining the first scan

no idea why amd 1950x has lower score in “perforance check”, but it has more fps than 14900hx performance check is for post processing or realtime scan?

When the program window is disabled, the frame rate increases. When the program window is enabled, the frame rate drops to 3-5 frames.

so this is the first support video they send you to in the support section of the Revo Scan software. Watching a person scan for a long time with no commentary about what he's doing isn't helpful when you are first getting started with this unit. An actual walkthru would would be the ideal video. My experience so far with my MetroX is 👎👎👎. If I had bought it through a regular sales channel and not a KS, it definitely would have been returned. The software is awful.

You start by saying place markers 6 to 7cm apart. Then say if it's too small place marker blocks around it. The marker blocks have markers that are well under 6 to 7cm apart. Someone please explain this to me as I'm autistic and this video contradicts itself.

I just received my POP 3 plus and is definitely in the learning phase and watch all I can about scanning and especially the POP 3 plus. To make the video shorter and to avoid distractions during the video, I’d suggest that you make the sections where the computer is working on data either shorter or fill them with relevant information, IE recap of what you’ve just done or explained. Other than that, great informative video and I’ll keep on watching your channel.

Hi there. Good video, but how about ergonomics? I could see the guys on first scaning pass making exercises with his fiongers after only kind of 20 minutes hanging the scanner? It seems to me to be awkward to handle and maybe heavy.

Have you tried to compare the measurements real vs 3d scanned? How accurate is it? I understand this is not meant for metrology however I would like to know how near to the actual part the measurements are.

It would be nice to have the option to export the 3d scan files to an integrated or separate VR player to see the part with an oculus/meta quest or apple vr headsets.

Just received mine and I have a question: should the ambient light be somewhat low? I'm guessing yes so as to provide a contrast to the light coming out of the scanner? Also, I see when you guys do demos, it's in a black room (more or less).

So...what is the diffrence between cross lines and paraller lines scanning ? Is paraller line scanning more detailed ?

Will single shot mode produce better quality mesh than continuous? For example doing a head scan vs single shot mode? Which would be ideal to capture the best most detailed point cloud?

Hold up, so now Cross lines mode requires 5 markes instead of 4 ?

I lose tracking in feature mode very easily, only just have to move a little too quick and it messes up the scan, we need an undo/rewind button. Also what about lighting around the object, what is needed exactly?

I received my MetroX recently and have been very happy with it thus far. I’ve never owned a scanner before, and with very little effort I’m getting great results from it. There’s a learning curve but so far everything has been great!

Where did you get that sticky pad for the scan? That thing is awesome!
