I'm glad my "funny" comments helped, re how many can you merge and merging different scan types. If I could think of those questions, I'm sure others had the same thoughts also. Keep these informative videos coming as the shipping date gets closer, we need to learn. yes I am a backer 1630
Do you have one of these style videos where an apple silicon Mac is being used? If not, is that something you can show? I know a lot are curious how the MetroX performs when using a modern Mac.
@ I have a MacBook Pro and I know many others do as well. I’m curious if the performance of the software is optimized for the Apple silicon or if it is not very optimized. I understand that this type of software has high system requirements on the windows side and it’s not really being talked about. I’m curious if the Mac is version is any better or worse.
Loved the video - will there be beginners tutorials on the site and also - does the software come with the scanner. I’ve purchased the version on kickstarter. Do the markers come with units ? Thanks Ady
thanks man. I'm gonna start doing tutorials from unboxing & super basic, to advanced scanning skill videos by next week. And the software, it does not "come" with the scanner, cuz the software is just on our website for anyone who wanna download, even without a scanner (still can use our software to open 3d files and edit). You would have bunch of markers enough for you to start with. enjoy
How hard is it to create a step file from the scan? I am assuming the image comes in as a mesh and depending on the setup will dictate how much editing of a mesh would be required?
Creating a STEP file requires converting the scan's mesh into a CAD model using reverse engineering software. The complexity depends on the object's shape and detail level.
You are talking about the "global marker mode", we did not disable this option, it's always good to use this mode for better tracking, it's just in these 2 vids are easy and small objects scanning so we don't have to use that.
Very interesting, thank you guys! Could you please share the main laptop specs, like CPU, Frequency, RAM, and other main features are important, according to you, if any?
By experience handhelding like cameras without stabilisation is very micro jitter/shaky, would it improve to for example use a dslr gimbal on the scanner for very steady meassurements or is the latency just insane fast compared?
I'm gonna try to 3d print some sort of adapter to use with my DJI phone gimbal. If the tripod case has a native 1/4-20 thread on it then you could easily put it on a ronin no modifications. But that's wishful thinking.
Hopefully this will compete with the raptorx. I have a raptor and the tracking and volumetric accuracy are lacking. Looks like they fixed that with the raptorx, but $4995, come on.
Life happened or I'd be considering one, maybe later. It would be entirely groovy if it could be possible to purchase only the sensor bar if to retrofit upgrade a preexisting miraco to essentially become a newer edition one, if it's the only actual difference in the original miraco and the newer blue lasered one.
I genuenly love these longer videos, its great look for the scanner and your company :))
Agreed! They really listened to our input.
Glad you like them!
Looking forward to receiving the scanner!!
We're working hard to get these scanners out to everyone as soon as possible!
Pretty keen to get mine.
Hey keep going! I'm a Revopoint user and I do like the product.
Thanks for the support! 😊
I'm looking forward to receiving the actual product

salute, man, lmk.
We’re so grateful for your support, and we’re happy to help clear up any uncertainties!
@18:35 :o did you guys mention merge different mesh from differnet scanner?
coz i was told it cannot merge together with mini and range mesh :o
Does anyone else think that 3d laser scanning looks very soothing? Almost like that power wash simulator.
yea you can really zone out while scanning
No lm really nervous when watch it cause I scared that track lost

Not sure I could borrow one in the office, or maybe I use a MacBook?

I would like to see that also. It would be nice to know performance difference between a m2/3 pro and m2/3 max chip with MetroX.

Hi ! Thanks for your support and glad you loved the video! 😊 Markers are also part of the rewards you’ll receive.

Why is there no video with the MacBook?
Hi all! Do you disable the option to scan the markers first for better tracking? I didn't see you guys doing it in the las 2 videos... I think.
You are talking about the "global marker mode", we did not disable this option, it's always good to use this mode for better tracking, it's just in these 2 vids are easy and small objects scanning so we don't have to use that.
@MagneticPork thanks for the clarification! Nice!

Sure. Travis's Laptop: i9 12gen 2.5GHz 64GB RAM. My Laptop:i9 14gen 2.2GHz 32GB RAM, in this video uses mine, in previous some videos used his.
Thank you for your answer. I’ve read somewhere that PC performance can reasonably influence the smoothing of the process.

next time you do a scanning show like this, please put your laptop specs in the show notes: e.g. i9 gen 14, RTX4080, 64GB etc...
Hi, Travis's Laptop: i9 12gen 2.5GHz 64GB RAM.
Turntable is making it wobble. I would turn manually in increments of 45 degree
Looks really bad, honestly. When are you gonna fix this insane smoothing and rounded edges?
I think it’s depends of your some settings in the app
@@SILCH doesn't look like they've used any
Looks great...

this is not a Miraco. and you cant simply swap sensors
