Could you tell me why you are not zooming on the edges? the only thing left to make sure is that. unlike its predecessor, it should be able to capture sharp edges because from a user point of view that matters a lot more......🤔 as per the price, it's still looking good.
Please never let whomever edited this near a video again. The dialog is almost all gone so we have no context of what the hell they’re doing, we get to watch long loading screens, the music makes me regret having ears, and you didn’t actually demo 3d scans of objects (more like 2.5d top down shots) until the end where the turntable system doesn’t work. This is either a truly awful demo cut, or this product just isn’t ready to be sold.
It's not ready to be sold because it's not out yet dude chill. They're still months away from selling it. They have been very good about fixing bugs in the past.
Hello, thank you for your suggestions. For this livestream replay, we plan to release it in segments. This will help protect the privacy of the email addresses involved in the livestream raffle, while also allowing us to present the content that users care about most. We appreciate your feedback and will seriously consider it to showcase more of the content that everyone wants to see.
@@zpbeats3938I've seen more complicated devices/machines in a more finished state than this, much earlier into development. They are shipping these devices in like 1 month bro... This is the final product. It's only $650 including a turn table and metal carrying case for a reason.
Hello! The scanner in our livestream is still in its beta phase, so it hasn’t reached optimal performance yet. If you’re interested in the MetroX, feel free to check out our No Cuts video - the scan results are impressive. Once our software is fully optimized, the results will be even better!
Isn't the fov of the metrox even a bit narrower than the Raptor's? For me, the main reason for opting for this one instead of the raptor is that I am not so interested in NIR (which is mediocre anyways), and I like the blue SLLP technology of the MetroX
Hello, we present our livestream in segments mainly to focus more on showcasing the scanning content. Thank you for your suggestion; we will seriously consider it and strive to create content that satisfies everyone!
I have a Range and a Range 2. I also have a Creality scan Ferret. Now to my Question. Due to Revopoint 5’s amazing and ever evolving software, I prefer to stay with Revopoint. Now here’s my question. With the two Ranges I have large taken care of. Since the Cr Ferret can’t do much of anything small or large and okay on medium size objects, I looking for something that can small to somewhat medium or Medium to somewhat small. Now I’m going to eventually purchase either the Metro X when it comes out or the Miraco when I have the funds. So the choices look like the original Mini, the Inspire or Pop 1,2or 3. Any suggestions would help. Thanks
Hello! MetroX would be your best choice, as it excels at scanning small to medium-sized objects. It also offers four scanning modes, which complement your other scanners. For these reasons, we highly recommend supporting our MetroX.
I see you are scanning ONLY from above, while using a ton of markers. Looks like you don't want to ran into an error about insufficient number of markers visible.... People will be facing this since day 1 of using, and you are trying to pretend that problem does not exist. Just do a REAL LIFE test with honesty, huh?
why at minute 22:42 did you need to use the mattifying spray? it seemed to me that the strong point was the compatibility with dark and/or shiny surfaces... thanks for the answer
17:18 is the time stamp I believe you're referring to. He mentioned he was only spraying it in the screw holes, which I'd imagine would be to increase the scannability of the darker, more concealed holes which wouldn't scan well otherwise.
So you provide all the adapters for the turn table power supply. But if you want to use the actual scanner abroad. Well, good luck and buy your own converter lol. Also interesting how it starts at 40fps and drops to 15-22fps after a few seconds/minutes. I guess they were using a laptop tho but still, it still looks slow to me.
Hello, we will provide the appropriate power adapter for your country, so there’s no need to worry. The computer we used in the last livestream wasn’t the best, which gave us a valuable lesson. Next time, we’ll make sure to use better equipment for videos or livestreams to showcase the MetroX at its best.
I hoped this would cover PC requirements. If the software would run on my Windows 11 Pro Lenovo P53 i7-9750 workstation, I'd be tempted to order. But from what I've seen on the Kickstarter page, it looks like it won't.
Hello, we recommend that you start by ordering one unit, as MetroX will truly impress you. It can perfectly capture both black and shiny objects. Plus, it offers great value at this price point.
@@Revopoint3D Thank you for the reply. Unless it will work acceptably well with my laptop spec (Windows 11 Pro Lenovo P53 i7-9750, which has NVIDIA Quadro T1000 graphics with 4GB graphics memory), I would not be able to use it, as I am not currently in the market for a new high end laptop.
I wish there was an unedited version of the livestream available. They removed/time-lapsed through so much it doesn't give you a good idea of the work flow and any issues they ran into. Not confidence inspiring.
Hello, thank you very much for your suggestion. We have forwarded it to the video production team. We chose this format to help users see the scanning process and results more efficiently. Next time, we will further optimize it, so stay tuned for more exciting content about MetroX!
Why is it so slooooow??? On my raptor with 4090 I can scan very quickly objects of that size without any markers. Show how MetroX compares to Raptor WITHOUT markers with just markers on a scanning mat / 3d markers. I cannot decide if I should keep my pledge
Hello, the slower scanning speed is due to the configuration of the demo computer, which affected the scanner's performance. During our later tests, the scanning speed reached between 40 and 55 fps. Please rest assured.
Hello, the laser scanner can also be used for scanning sculptural objects. We have beta users who have scanned sculptures with great results, and you can join our Discord to see more. If you're focused on scanning people, MetroX might not be the best fit, but MIRACO, POP 3 Plus, and RANGE 2 would be excellent choices for you.
Scanning the gear with the scanner oriented horizontal is a really bad idea. You will never be able to capture inside each single tooth. This need to be done vertical otherwise both cameras will not be able to "look" into the tooth.
Thanks for letting me know

I agree. The video speed is too fast, and doesn’t concentrate on the important parts. The music is way too obnoxious and too loud for a tech demo.
I’m leaning to the Pop 2 or 3

Since you are using so many stick-on markers on the engine parts, does the software remove them from the scan automatically or is it a manual process?

Scan people ?
