ಹರಿ ''ಅತಿಥಿ ದೇವೋಭವ ಎಂಬುದು ನಮ್ಮ ನಂಬಿಕೆ. ತಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಹಣ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಹೇಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯ?'' ಎಂದು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದ. ಪರಸ್ಪರ ವಿಳಾಸಗಳನ್ನು ಬದಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರು ಅಗಲಿದರು. ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಆ ದಂಪತಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಹರಿ ಭಂಡಾರಿಗೂ ಪತ್ರದ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಲೇ ಇತ್ತು. ಹರಿ ಶಾಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮುಗಿಸಿ ಕಠಮಂಡುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ವೈಟರ್ ಆದ ನಂತರ ಶಾಲೆಯೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯನಾದ. ನಂತರ ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗಿಗಳ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ. ಇತ್ತ ಪೀಟರ್ ದಂಪತಿಗಳು ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅಂದು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದ 'ಫ್ರೆಂಡ್‌ಶಿಪ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ'ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದು ಐದಾರು ಡಾಕ್ಟರುಗಳು, ಹದಿನೈದು ಮಂದಿ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ದಿನಾ ನೂರಾರು ಮಂದಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅದರ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ವೆಚ್ಚವನ್ನು ಶೋರ್ಸ್ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರೇ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
