ನಮಗೆ ದೊರೆತಿರುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರ, ಅವಕಾಶಗಳು, ಸಿರಿ-ಸಂಪತ್ತುಗಳು, ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿರುವ ಗಂಧದ ಕಡ್ಡಿಗಳು. ಅದರ ಅನುಕೂಲ ನಮ್ಮವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ದೊರೆಯಬೇಕು, ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಅದರ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಬಾರದು ಎಂಬ ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡಿದರೆ ನಮ್ಮವರ ಮುಖವೂ ಕೂಡ ಆ ಬುದ್ಧನ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯಂತೆ ಕಪ್ಪಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನಮ್ಮವರಿಗೂ ಉಪಯೋಗವಾಗಲಿ. ಇತರರಿಗೂ ಉಪಯೋಗವಾಗಲಿ ಎಂಬ ವಿಶಾಲ ಮನೋಭಾವ ಮೂಡಿದರೆ, ಇಡೀ ಸಮಾಜವೇ ಏಕೆ, ಇಡೀ ದೇಶವೇ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ ಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ?
The power, the opportunities, the riches, the sandal sticks we have got in our hands. If the selfishness arises in us that its benefit should be available only to us and not to others, our face will also become black like that Buddha statue. May it be useful for us too. If there is a broad attitude of benefiting others, then the whole society, the whole country will be prosperous, won't it?
