How where i can apply to a google job ?

Self-learning worked out for me. In 2015, I took a Photoshop course by Deke McClelland to kickstart my design journey, and now I’m a Website UI/UX designer earning a good income. I used to encourage my employees to learn from TH-cam or online courses. Over time, I realized that self-teaching isn’t for everyone. Just because it worked for me doesn’t mean it will work for everyone. If you’re struggling with self-learning, consider learning from a real person in a physical setting.

Heyy ricardo. Great video as always. Um...i just had a question. Do you think i should spend a shit ton of money on a bachelors degree in graphic design and then master in a specialized ui ux course OR spend minimal fees on a psych ug degree and then master in ui ux? Im just really confused at this point.

Oh my. I finally found the words I needed to hear. Last weekend I tried to do some guerilla testing in public place and even though I was excellent in preparating for the interviews and approaching strangers, I failed and didn't approach anyone. I just sat there, outside, watching the people and feeling so desperate and all I wanted to do is to cry and go home. The social anxiety escalated so high I couldn't move, and I've been struggling with self-loathing since then. But when I found your video, I felt a sense of relief just by hearing your first advice of accepting and acknowledging that I have social anxiety. The liberating feeling of not having to fight it anymore brought me a sense of freedom and my chest pain was gone. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Ricardo, what do you think of Google UX Design Professional Certificate on Coursera? Is it a good way to start out as a complete beginner, and a good alternative to a formal education in the field? :) Thanks for your contents and insights!

as a 16 yuear old, watching this video and me just currenlty taking short courses online and yk starting my portfolio and designing, i really wnted something for my carreer that would take me abraod, let me be creative and be involved in tech and business, i watched this video and im a liite intimidated like really second guessing my choice, but i still am so interested in it and i think ive been doing the fun thing and daydremaing about all the cleints i will get, now that i have to design and build my portfolio i am so scared and overwhelemd, but one step at a time i will get there

One thing worth mentioning, Even when its a personal short form project, we can always keep the User test pool big enought from 10-20 users from differing Cohorts. I can also see that you did not consider users from opposing preferences including edge cases if possible. Quite similar cohort of users, with very low numbers. 10-20 could have been better and not difficult for a 2 day exercise.

Awesome video, it is very thorough and thoughtful. I'm torn between which program is great for me. I really want to attend a school in person but I live in a rural area without the option to move. I need a artistic diverse program that is offered online like SCAD OR MICA.
