Video idea! UX/UI acronyms commonly used in the workplace. I'm a design student and have only had one of our professors lightly touch on this. I know these are skills we'll pick up on the job, but would be nice to go in with a deeper understanding of the lingo ahead of time. Love your videos so much! It's a lot of work, I'm sure, and very appreciated! Keep it up, you rock!
Thank you, Ricardo, for your authentic sharing! I really liked the way you talked and showed us how you got to where you are today. Looking forward to the video about the system design course! 🙌🏻✨
Maybe a bit of a hot take but given the way the market now is I feel like advice about getting hired in UX before like 2021-ish is pretty irrelevant and almost useless.
Helpful and informative video 1:50 thank you, I didn't know about this 7:35 this course is on sale now, however I have not yet started the Google course on design yet. Is it worth buying now? Can I buy ut now and use it later? Or will it be in sale later? If you know information about this that could help, I would really appreciate it. Thank you! 9:50 How is this course free? I don't see that on the webpage I am a student who is interested in UX design as a career. I plan on doing the Google coursera UX design courses. After that I plan on maybe doing the courses you talke about in this video (the ones I asked about). At the same time I would probably try to build profolio, and start applying for a job in UX design. The tips you have in your videos about UX design are helpful and good to know. Thank you!
This was so well done Ricardo! I related so hard about bootcamps making cookie cutter portfolios. I struggled with this the most after graduating and am now tailoring my portfolio to make it more me. Thank you for this!
I love your videos from the time I start learning UI UX design I'm watching you. I have one question so recently I completed an online certificate in UI UX. It's been almost two months since I've regularly applied for internships but have not gotten any responses and it's overwhelming now. Is it normal to have this much waiting time to get the first internship?
Do you think it is still a good profession in the nearest future with all the new AI stuff comping up? Artificial Tech development is the only reason which keeps me stuck in progress for quite a while now 😕
Ricardo, bro thanks a lot for your knowledge sharing and insights. I wanted to ask you regarding CSS/programming languages and coding part from the context of working as UX designer as compared to a person who is working as software developer. So basically how do you differ the understand, application of these in real life work scenario. I am asking in the capacity of a non tech guy to understand how important for me is to command on the same to become a successful ux designer
Thank you; this was so helpful! I’m interested in going back to school, but I just finished my doctoral program, and I’m maxed out on loans 😩. In your opinion, would something like the design lab academy + coursera courses be enough? (I do online instructional design/ed tech right now). Also, do YOU offer any coaching? Thank you!!
Thanks for your kind words! OMG I totally understand about the student loans, they're horrible. I still haven't paid mine off 😭 Given your background in instructional design and ed tech, a combination of online courses and practical projects could be a great way to transition into UX/UI. DesignLab and Coursera offer solid programs and could be a great way to get your feet wet and probe whether UX is right for you or not. As for coaching, I don't currently offer one-on-one coaching services - between the YT channel and work I don't have the bandwidth unfortunately. However, there are many talented UX designers and coaches who can provide personalized guidance. You might consider exploring platforms like ADPList or seeking out mentors in online communities. Remember, building a strong portfolio is key, so focus on practical projects and case studies. Good luck on your journey, you got this! ✨
When next ux/ ui internship form will be available in Google? I really want to get an internship and if you know any other internship then make a video about this topic. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
4:28 Well, that's just too expensive. The prices of this academy. Would I have gone there if I was just a broke student who could barely find food, and was looking to improve himself to get a good deal? When I have some money, I think I will buy food first and then I will buy these courses. $400 is a crazy amount for me. Yes, I am poor and I am not proud of it. sorry but , Free platforms will do the trick.
Definitely take advantage of free resources like my TH-cam channel before purchasing a course, it's a big financial investment and shouldn't be taken lightly.

Bro I'm completed my 12th what could I take degree in ui ux design or bachelor of engineering.
Please🙏 help me to choose my career
Can a game designer be a ux designer
Of course. Moreover, I think UX designers learn a lot from game design. Have you heard of gamification? You should check it out.
