So with the feet controls I take it it’s accelerator, brake and then deadman’s pedal? When coasting at line speed on a section do you have to control the accelerator or is there a way of setting it to idle?

I could not imagine open air tram holds, since here we have a constant issue with people jumping over the fences to tag the trams and metro cars... though the most that I drive, i have not seen them being tagged at the old Koskela depot... which is gonna be built from the ground up...
