Most people aren’t doing this on NG+7 and without summons or even without turtling behind a shield and tanking everything if we wanna go there 🤷🏼‍♂️ Thanks for the game suggestion but I’ll pass 👍 but you can play it if you’d like

@@markopusic8258 I had a +20 blessings here so that definitely helped. I also had pretty heavy armor, dragoncrest greatshield and the golden braid which was also good. The opaline hardtear was in my physick though it was pretty much expired halfway through phase 2 anyways. I can’t remember exactly what my natural damage resistances were before any buffs but I believe with the armor and talismans equip it was in the low 70’s? (for physical at least) I think I was around level 365 here or so. I think with hard tear and black flame protection I could get it in the 80’s physically. As for the scaling I think you may be right in that his damage may not scale *too* much higher in NG cycles. I’ve seen people on lower NG’s fight him and take similar damage as you said. However I don’t know if those people had max blessings or not which would make a difference. The HP bar difference is definitely the most noticeable though lol

@@BrokenFist I’m in the middle about the fight myself but I can see why people would like it. I don’t absolutely LOVE the boss but I also definitely don’t hate it either. I think what gets me is that if they tweaked just a few things this boss would be so much better. And yes that’s the main flaw for me, no player freedom in his to fight this boss, he’s extremely punishing with very specific ways to fight him if you want to win and honestly even just remotely enjoy the fight

Always appreciate it when people take the time to read the long descriptions I wrote so thank you! Both bosses are very punishing and really don’t leave much room for error as they have some nasty combos that do a lot of damage. I’m conflicted on both of these bosses and I feel like Radahn especially teeters way too closely on crossing the line of “difficult but fair”. I’m fine with this being the only boss of his kind but if he is going to be the new standard of bosses going forward I’m not sure how I’m gonna feel about it

@@suchar7175 Thank you so much for your kind and motivating words, it’s honestly always very much appreciated 😄even if it was clutch af I’m honestly still pretty happy with the way I played this fight and going at it for this long. I think the clutch really added to the adrenaline hype I felt after I beat it haha. I’m so glad he gave me that opening in the end, one that I knew I had enough time to punish for a win! I’m a little sad that it’s over just because it seems like (as of now) this is the last of ER we’ll be getting, but it was an amazing journey 10/10. I do still have to fight Bayle tho 😆that will be next

@@suchar7175 the words of encouragement really do help so that’s very much appreciated thank you 🥹this has been quite an uphill battle. For the first 4 or so hours maybe even a little more it felt unattainable, but there’s finally now a small speck of light at the end of the tunnel. Oh man those clone attacks still mess me up so much and are the #1 cause of my deaths at this point. That along with the phase 2 cross slash, I don’t think I have to talk about how ridiculous this attack is lol. For the clone attack one I definitely can’t take full credit as I’ve been watching lots of videos to see how people fight Radahn and this seems to be the way everybody “dodges” this attack, by just running lol. Just one of many unintuitive attacks he has in phase 2. But hey practice makes perfect haha

Honestly between the Fire Knights Greatsword, this one and even the Guts Greatsword on my Guard Counter run, colossals have been growing on me. I think the FK’s is my favorite overall in terms of moveset but for AoW this one is at the top for sure! Oh yeah I think the death knights are some of the best mini bosses in all of ER imo, they are great, balanced and fair fights that are very enjoyable 😄

@@suchar7175 haha yeah in NG7 it’s a lot more work to stagger him 😆I actually did try him with the Fire Knights Greatsword got a good handful of attempts and even with just basic R1 attacks I could get him to stagger a few times. I ended up going with the trusty Backhand blades though for damage and quick openings. And thank you as always for watching 😄I can see why this boss is a top favorite 🔥

@@suchar7175 haha same here, this is honestly probably still my favorite mounted boss, though Putrescent Knight is probably about the same now as well. Luckily I remembered to jump the shield because as you said it’s super hard to dodge haha Shaman Village was absolutely STUNNING 😍 easily one of my favorite areas in the DLC next to Cerulean Coast

@@suchar7175 Thank you as always! 😄and yes this attack is definitely a good opening, it’s got a pretty generous dodge window though it got me a lot of times because of the delay and I’d dodge too early. Haha I could definitely get this cleaner but honestly it’s been a hot minute since I’ve beat a boss for the first time and clutched it like this, took me back to my very first playthrough of ER 🥹

And you’re absolutely right, I feel like I don’t see too many people talk about her compared to some other bosses but she’s just such a good one in every aspect. Almost a perfect blend of everything for me

@@suchar7175 I agree, while I do like this boss I don’t feel like he’s really worthy of being the second three phase three health bar boss. Friede is a memorable fight and this one, even though I think it’s cool I feel like really doesn’t have that same impact. And thank you! (: I’m surprised I even survived that last explosion, the reason I walked in is because I didn’t know he did it three times at low health LOL, I’d seen it once before but didn’t get it into memory yet, probably should’ve healed but my risk paid off 😆

Since posting this I’ve gone through the Abyssal Woods (which had some of the best atmosphere for any level in ER) through the manor and have been practicing on leaning the moveset of him! He’s such a cool boss and is everything I’d imagine a frenzy flame “final boss” to be. The presentation, his moveset and theme are fantastic 😄Think I need to collect some more fragments and level up my blessings for a better shot but I’m looking forward to getting even better with his fight!

@@Creative_Flame9170 hell yeah, Abyssal Woods is so creepy area, especially that part with Lanterns.😁 As for Midra, I definitely recommend to get at least 15 level of Scadutree Blessing. I've fought him on 16-20 and he was still not very squishy (47k HP on New Game, but at least his stance is laughable, I bet it is around 80 on NG, like Malenia, Morgott and Maliketh).

Hahaha you saw my community post then😆but yeah I decided I was kind of being a little too hard on myself for a first win/playthrough and it wouldn’t feel right to leave such a main boss out of it, even if I’m not really happy with how I played in phase 1. Phase 2 I actually am pretty satisfied with. But thank you for watching!

@@suchar7175 I have a good friend who says “it’s always the runs that aren’t the cleanest that are the ones you end up winning for the first time” and they’re so right haha. But hey a win is a win, we also have to remember most people aren’t playing the game solo and without summons either so that in of itself is already huge. I’m just glad all of my hours of practice seemed to pay off in the end, I feel like I genuinely have a good handle on her fight now which is great 😄I’m looking forward to seeing your clear, if you decide to post it!

I'm just waiting for most people to finish the DLC (I myself haven't finished it yet. I bet there are at least 5-6 Main Bosses to beat for me). I was really surprised that first main Boss is SO TOUGH.😁

Probably my favorite spell in the game to be completely honest, just because it satisfies my needs as a melee focused player haha. You and me both for that dodge, that was a genuine wtf moment for me when I got hit by that, I’m guessing you’re probably right in that maybe it’s the way I dodged it. I’m honestly shocked I somehow survived that, I fully expected to die LOL normally near death experiences like that make me want to restart the fight but I kept going just to see how it would play out. And yes while Carian Slicer is great I’d say Lightning Ram plays much better here haha

It was the entire combo and yes they were all parried. They weren’t all flawless parries (as noted in the title) but they were still all parries lol

@@HankScorpio468 the reason I even added those parentheses was so that people who watched wouldn’t see it as clickbait haha. I have full Romeo videos where I’ve perfectly parried the entire attack since I’ve gotten better at it since posting

Thank you so much as always! 🤗and yes I agree! I remember my first play through I decided to dodge Victor instead of parrying and it was just as effective as parrying. Though I’m a sucker for parrying so I’ve now learned to parry every boss haha. He’s quite fun once you get the hang of him!

I definitely agree with you in it being one of the better boss ergo weapons you get for sure! It’s not quite the same but it’s still the same weapon type so it does have more of a boss weapon feel to it. I also think that the Scythe is easily the best weapon when it comes to handling enemies throughout the levels. It also has the classic souls mechanic of going through walls which I’ll admit is pretty fun to do when I’m able haha. Glad you enjoyed the video! 😄

That’s cool you’ve started this run yourself! Whenever you get around to finishing it again that would be fun to see 🤗

Haha hopefully it was enjoyable to watch 😂and I actually did see that! Apparently it’s like some Sekiro style deflect that enhances guard counters which seems pretty cool. After I take my time to explore the DLC casually I’ll definitely try and continue this run down the road for the DLC bosses as well

Thank you! 😄I just edited a description but as of right now don’t think I’ll be doing Elden Beast, I may try again down the road but it’s very unengaging as he only has about 2-3 counterable moves and he’s constantly swimming away. It’s absolutely doable for sure but it would be very time consuming. LOL it is 😭I did this fight right after I beat Mohg I believe and I forgot to take it off, I have such a bad habit of leaving it on after I fight Mohg haha

@@grayestrat Yeahhh, it was like Fire Giant for me where It didn’t seem worth it for the amount of time I’d have to spend. I also did do both the Altus Godskin Apostle and the Volcano Manor Noble a while back though I did skip the duo mostly cause I’d already done them individually. As for any more bosses I’m gonna make some attempts on the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast, I know you mentioned wanting to see that one and I think with a fully leveled weapon now it should be more doable, so if there’s any others that will be next it’ll probably be that one! If for some reason it proves to be too much then I have the regular one still alive in Altus too
