Elden Ring - Melting Rellana by using only Guard Counters and Sekiro Deflects

My goodness even at just a +4 blessing, the Greatsword with the deflect tear is so ridiculously strong hahaha. It made such short work of her here and while the fight was quick, I feel like I did showcase enough of her moveset to justify it 😆One of the hardest bosses in the DLC is made so much easier with guard counters and deflects. Besides her moons and certain parts of her phase 2 firestorm, all of her attacks can be guard countered and deflected, with opens generous enough to get them very safely. While it does look like you can sit here the entire time deflecting and guard counter everything, one thing I did notice l is that some of her attacks have hitboxes that will hit your character on your sides even when blocking so you actually do have to be mindful of your positioning. This was getting me a lot and was rather annoying at times which is why I rolled some attacks in case I thought I would be in a position where she’d start a combo string that may hit around my block. Other than this though this is a pretty fun fight to use the deflect tear for and guard counter. This took me quite a handful of attempts because I wanted a good run. If you ever just wanted to bulldoze your way through Rellana then the deflect tear is the way to go here haha
Basic Challenge Rules
- I can only attack the boss off of a Guard Counter. No normal attacks, melee or magic or consumables are allowed
- An exception is that I am allowing myself to riposte a boss if they are poise broken. The poise break is a reward for consistent Guard Counters so I feel I should take the free damage
- Deflect tear is also being used now

That was demolition indeed. It isn't a crazy game changer, but her initial transition move (spreading out swords) has hitbox and I'm pretty sure it is counterable. Either way, great job, man! :)

I was surprised at how much damage I was doing here honestly haha, maybe should’ve used a different weapon😆and I actually did try a lot to get his by that phase transition but never was for some reason, not entirely sure where I have to be to trigger it. Thank you as always for watching 😄
