Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree - NG+7 Messmer the Impaler (No Aux, Ft. Blind Spot Backhand Blades)

- I was debating posting this l at first because I feel like (and have) had much cleaner attempts, but also this is a first playthrough on NG7 and I can always come back and I can always come back to improve. Honestly it’s really the rough phase 1 I wasn’t the happiest with. I’ve had attempts where I’ve done it practically hitless and with a ton of successful blind spot dodges but here I got hit by so many attacks. After practicing this fight for a solid few hours, was a little disappointed that I messed up so much in phase 1 here, though at least I dodged the “waterfowl” attack perfectly. Funny enough though, I found phase 2 harder yet I feel like it’s a lot cleaner than phase 1. I also got a lot more clean blind spot dodges in too so I will at least say I’m satisfied with this phase. Scadutree blessing was +12 here
But as for the overall fight itself it’s honestly amazing. No exaggeration for me at least this is easily one of the best bosses fromsoft has made and not just in Elden Ring but all of souls. Everything about this boss is fucking fantastic and an easy 10/10 S tier fight. This is definitely a fight I really want to master and get even better at it because honestly he’s just so much fun. His moveset is so satisfying to dodge and he leaves very generous openings for attacking that are punishable by every weapon type. Easily the best boss in the DLC so far

Hahaha you saw my community post then😆but yeah I decided I was kind of being a little too hard on myself for a first win/playthrough and it wouldn’t feel right to leave such a main boss out of it, even if I’m not really happy with how I played in phase 1. Phase 2 I actually am pretty satisfied with. But thank you for watching!
@@Creative_Flame9170 my final attempt on Messmer was also very disappointing and that's why I decided to go a bit further with him and you will see what I mean soon. :)
@@suchar7175 I have a good friend who says “it’s always the runs that aren’t the cleanest that are the ones you end up winning for the first time” and they’re so right haha. But hey a win is a win, we also have to remember most people aren’t playing the game solo and without summons either so that in of itself is already huge. And Oohh definitely looking forward to that!
