Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz total Chit.... Click Bait
Almost got these for my 8th gen Civic. But, I only put on like 5k miles a year. So although the CC2's seem amazing, I just wouldn't be able to utilize them, they would be 15 years old and dry rotted before their tread was low. I ended up going with Falken Aklimate tires. They have a 65k mile tire life, but of course I expect less. But, 7 years at 5k a year is 35k miles. So hopefully they do me well for 7 full seasons or maybe more.
Great lifespan for sure! I almost put these on my older Civic, but I don't put all that many miles on (probably 5k a year about). So, in 7 years, maybe 35k. These tires would dry rot and I'd waste half their use. Ended up going with the new Falken Aklimate all weather tires. They have 65k mile life. I never expect tires to last as long as they say (although these CC2's seem to last longer). So if I get 7 years / 35k miles out of these and good winter driving, I'll be happy. If I drove a lot more miles, I'd for sure check out the CC2's.
Always match a tire to your driving needs, the Cross Climate 2 is a touring tire and has a wear rating of 640, so about 60k miles average. If you do a lot of driving then a touring tire is the best choice, if you dont drive as much than prioritize grip, there are other tires with lower ear rating in the 3-400's that offer better traction at the cost of longevity. Either way after 8 years a tire should be changed as it will have dried out substantially and worn out.
Yet he’s aligned with people in the states who are and or supported by white nationalists.
Goodyear Assurance Weatherready 2 is another option they are same design & a little bit cheaper.
new ok. Over time the teeth on the tread will become louder
I got 27k miles out of them and 2 are now ready for replacement!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were rotated every 6k miles
Good honest content.
If that vehicle is AWD four tires are necessary if the miles are high.
Those are crazy numbers. Bug i will be happy with 60,000 miles
I was not happy with 25k miles!
It is a tire that is supposed to perform till a 47000 km. What you try to do? Is your safety worth the price if not spending 800 usd for a 4 pair ?
1 to 2 miles less per tank? I'm assuming he means per gallon.
So basically you’re saying they perform perfectly for about 60,000 miles, just like the manufacturer claims you should replace them. Good to know.
Good year weather 2 might be better
Rg.Rvr. w/217 k on it & best tires I've ever had (except Avon) Well worth the price.
I’m seriously considering buying these tires because I think they would be great in the upper Midwest climate. However, I’m concerned about additional road noise. Sounds the increase in road noise is not that bad in your opinion?
Thanks for your video. Im trying to decide if settling on these since x-ice isnt currently available. Unfortunately, have 2 new X-Ice for a car i no longer own. Goodyear had an eagle aqua tread in the 90s. Very similar tread pattern. Excellent for water and Rocky Mountains snow, although they were not touted for snow. Like you, i noticed a good 2 mpg loss (ford probe GT) that previously got around 27 hwy (if i drove speed limit). In the VW tDI, which normally could get 48mpg cruising at 95 dropped to 44/mpg when i put the aqua treads on it. I always said that they were my tank treads; let me go almost anywhere in bad weather. Sliced through deep water like speed boat, easily climb up hill in snow.
Mine were slightly noisy for the first couple thousand miles but only on well worn asphalt as freshly paved roads it was very quiet ( also my vehicle is 7 years old so the weatherstrips may need to be replaced but it isn’t so noisy that it bugs me so why? ). Another annoyance is 5hat the treads on these tires pick up every pebble you run across. Then at highway speeds those pebbles come flying outhitting the bottom or sides of the vehicle. Nothing bigger than a pea but they are probably 5he worst tire for picking up pebbles that I can remember. By the sound of your accent you probably don’t see much in the way of winter driving which these tires perform really good in. The only thing to note is if you are on 1-3 inches of fresh snow ( fluffy or wet ) the front tires “ may “ slip a bit in a curve but thy bite back in almost instantly, so the issue is probably driving a little to fast for conditions. They are great in the rain and also handle well in Summer although mine have never seen air temperatures over 85 degrees more than a half dozen times in the last 3+ years. Here in Canada, Michelin offers a “ deal “ once in awhile which is $100 on 4 tires which is about $65 US. When I bought these in May 2021 they were $256 Canadian Dollars each but are now regular priced at around $300.
Absurd?? Just end the interview! Damn! Damnnnn! Yo!
Heard the CC2 is heavy is it true ?
I’m definitely buying these tires lol I love your review! 😁😁
Homophobia means fear or dislike!!!!!!
Candace thinks she knows everything but she doesn't. In this case for example she made a fool of herself!
homophobia noun ho·mo·pho·bia ˌhō-mə-ˈfō-bē-ə : irrational fear or dislike of or prejudice against homosexuality or gay people
You should have showed us the kind of pavement you're on. Different payments will have different levels of road noise. There's some pretty bad payments out there that I don't think any Tire can overcome!
Is your Mazda all wheel drive? If so, don’t they recommend replacing all 4 tires if one is replaced because of the sensors are confused with the larger new tire? That what I always hear.
Sensors measure air pressure only.
have had them on my tesla s now for 1 yr and still great and quiet
Does your gas mileage fall off the cliff at higher highway speeds like mine does on my car?
Do you have a video on how you rotated them?
Do you inflate them 2-3 psi over the number on the door sticker? I've rad that it helps with the road resistance.
You know I've done it all different ways. In my ignorance, I was pumping them up over 40 because the tire PSI. I'm sorry, I know that was stupid but I used to drive heavy trucks and I really liked to fill the tires up. That's exactly what I do now, but I can't say it helps a whole bunch. If you wanted it inglate then a few oai, it may be good but won't help with mpg at all
Are these tires directional? Seems if you put them on the other side the thread would be backwards?
I really loved how you did this review. This is my first time seeing one of your videos and I’ll def be following if you do any other content . Ty for sharing
That noise at 88 mph is the flux capacitor alerting you that you can time travel.
I recently bought a set of CC2’s for my Lexus nx300 and it feels like my car has sneakers. They’re smooth riding but grip on turns and ride in the rain like it’s a sunny day. Glad my tire guy recommended these to me, and for reviews like your’s that helped solidify my decision.
So just like Trump, a coward!
😂
Something to consider when choosing replacement tires. OEM tires are chosen by vehicle manufacturers for one reason over all others, for their ability to have a quiet smooth ride, and increased fuel economy. It sells more new cars, gets their new cars to pass CAFE standards easier, and makes the average new car owner overall happy with their new vehicle purchase. Rarely are OEM tires chosen for their ability to handle wet, snow, dry handling, performance, or traction in any conditions. This is why you will see the majority of OEM tires on most vehicles, being specific smooth quiet touring tires, or in the case of trucks and offroad SUVs, very average AT/HT type tires. I just got my first set of Cross Climate 2's to replace some OEM type touring tires (Bridgestone Dueler HP) that went from almost 3/4 tread to almost on the wear bars in one year on my 2019 Honda pilot, with regular tire rotations, religious up keep on the tire pressures, and I dont abuse my vehicle or tires one bit.
Also noticed more road noise in my 2024:VW GTI!
I’m not sure why it would be so but the initial minuscule decrease in fuel mileage ( in my case from 32 mpg to 31-31.5 mpg ) disappeared after having put about 3000 miles on them. In my case the tires were as quiet as as the OE Michelin Lattitude tires ( and those were really quiet. Then after about 12,000 miles on them the noise increased a tiny amount but not as gad as some other tires I’ve owned. One issue that I’ve had isin fresh dry but not fluffy snow of 2 to more inches depth the tires will lose lateral grip while running through a curve at speed (40 mph + ) however it is very minor and the tire regains grip almost instantly. Oh and the most annoying thing….. they pick up every tiny pebble and yes any tire does but these tires it just seems like more get snagged in the treads. Maybe that gives a little extra bite on hard compact snow or ice but once up to highway speeds many of the pebbles come flying out of the treads and ping, bang, pong off the underside and lower side of the vehicle. Other than that these are by far the best tires I’ve ever owned and the almost equal grip in snow and ice to dedicated snow and ice tires and longevity on hot summer roads is great.Just remember winter is still winter so drive accordingly you can’t pull 1g in corners or push your brakes until the muscles in your thigh pop, and you still can’t go flying through 1/2 to 1 inch + of standing water at speeds over 50.
Don Lemon is the demographic that votes for Kamala Harris.
The question regarding the noise isn’t coming from either of those sources. It’s coming from real-world talks between owners and potential buyers. I was talking to a friend who has owned some for over a year, and they said the noise is horrible. They also told me to not buy them because of this specific complaint.
Just do your research. It wasnt a vaccination.
Michelin should really consider offering you a new set of tires for your valuable testimonial. We are buying our CC2's this week in preparation for the Canadian Winter. Thank you, Mr. Jake O'Freshly.
100% agree, your comment needs to be repeated. The guy has only 2k plus subscribers, he didn't need to give a testimonial like this. I appreciate it!
Are your tires "V" rated? or "H" rated?
Traction B has we a little worried about grip on the road
8:22 “I wouldn’t really wanna test it” - the moment I realized I wanted my 8 minutes and 22 seconds back 🙄
Very noise tires
I’m about to get a set of these on my 2019 Chrysler 300 AWD. The original tires from the factory will need replacing before winter. They’re also Michelins but a different model. Fiancé has a set of these on her 2016 Ford Fusion and they’ve been great tires for her even without AWD like I have.
Never cross It all V shape tread tires have the same problem Very noise
