No matter where I'm racing next I like to do quick races in public lobbies at Bathurst just for fun, now I know that it is helping me become better at every track well that's even better. My other go to for fun is the Nurburgring 24Hr layout.

In my opinion just chose a random car every 3-5 days it will be fun i do this so i could enjoy the game even if the car is bad in corners because at the end im enjoying my self

I started on ps4 abouth 2 weeks ago, i instatly went onto olnine quick matches... Then i heard about SR :D Now i am at 22 xd but ( i just put it here to laughing stock) And also all of theese cars are locked for me, but i still here bc the explanations is very good no its excellent!

Recently started racing in the mclaren and I am having so much trouble getting used to the brakes. I play on console so Monza is the track that always has full lobbies so that is the track i play the most and my best time with the mclaren is 1.47.7, ive been playing for about 6-7 months now 2-3 hours every other day when i have time, but going back to mclaren brakes i’ll brake at the same braking point and just completely blow the apex, i think i need to get more consistent with downshifts since that helps a lot. My fav car so far is the lambo and the quickest time i had on monza was 1.47.5, had some 47.3’s but either i messed up by pushing to much or traffic got in the way.

I struggle so much without using the racing line. Thanks for this video, I am completely rubbish without and it makes the whole sim experience unbearable. I am crucified online for using during races so I find myself going back and forth with using it or not… I’m pretty much a mid-field driver. I don’t win podiums but I’m having a blast. The competitor in me wants to become fast, and I know I’m leaving lots of lap time on track. Anyways, I’m sure I’m not the only one out there that’s on the fence with using it or not. . . If you are just starting out in sim racing be aware that what you think of as your favorite car will very likely change over time. The more you are at the limit, the more certain characteristics come out for good or bad. Good lap times are often achieved in different ways. BMW loves full track usage/wide lines and rotates more under heavy trail braking rather than slip angle whereas the Porsche is nearly opposite. Lamborghini's torquey acceleration requires you to "V" corners. You'll end up, like in the video, driving other cars the way you drove your first and it will hamper you at times.

How do you brake so fast??? Especially at the bus stop….

Large C clamp has always worked for me to compress the brake piston. As far as bosch goes, VW bosch parts now a days are just either crap or hit and miss. Cant speak on other brands but anything VW related just hasn't been any good. Have mainly been buying the older Brazilian bosch parts for VW's and they seem still good when you can find em. Thanks for sharing

aaa, ive seen and driven worse. Ive had starring arms fall off while drive. fun left hand turn by the way, I've had ball joints fail while on the freeway, never knew a Volkswagen could turn that fast and not front related have had drive shafts just break and come through the floor, go figure. Your Porsche really isn't that bad in the grans scheme of things. while in there you should seriously address the rusted brace, its probably important to...lol

Great video, it explains a lot which I've watched several videos like this but this one is so far the best! I want to drive in ACC but always have trouble with the cars, no matter which car I pick, I do change some things which helps a little but ACC feed back always feels "vague" like it's hardly touching the track. Thanks so much for sharing this with us!!!

Hey man! Great video! Some subjective criticism! First of all I like the production. It seemed highway quality than channels of similar sizes, however, I would have loved some time stamps in the video that showed each run and what they were and a jump to the conclusion at the end with a simple graph or just talking about the differences. Wish you the best!

How about instead of practice mode just setting the AI to drive a little faster than you, starting at the back of the race and trying to catch up. Then if you start overtaking them, up the difficulty for the next race?

I’ve got a question, I’ve been trying to use my MFB on acc but it doesn’t work, I’ve used different keybinds on the wheel but everytime I do, it doesn’t work still. I copied peoples setting on TH-cam and it works for them but for me. Can someone help me please??thank you

i main the 296 and i would say it may be a slightly simple car to learn its skill curve is very high especially with quali setups this car can be like ice on glass to drive

I drive with a MOUSE😂 well the only car I find kinda lil difficult to handle is the M4 and the 720s

I started off my first few laps driving the Lamborghini, then the next lot driving the Maclaren, now I’ve moved straight to the Porsche, all before knowing that others find it crazy Lol

Honestly, this is my favourite channel for learning about ACC setups and I agree it's best not tweak the default setups until the lap times are consistent and i can no longer improve. I then watch track guides to learn about braking points and try again to improve. Once I max that out I will then slowly setup the car. sure the right setups might take 1 - 1.5s on a perfect lap but I'm way to inconsistent. For Monza using a Ferrari 296 gt3 I managed to get down from 1:51 to 1:48 after about 20 days of trying now wondering how I could go below 1:47....

Trouble is the “meta” tuning problems

I just started ACC and just started sim racing. Just racing around 1 track over and over, I've tried most of the cars and the McLaren 720 is the one I've done the best times in. I can't explain it, but it just seems to stick to the ground better than the rest. I tried the Porsche and oh my...I couldn't keep that thing on the track...

fun fact is that Mclaren EVO was the first car I felt comfortable with when started playing, I even felt that was the only car I was able to drive..so I forced myself out..currently trying BMW M4..and everytime I want to have just fun I pick the Prosche, trying to survive is somehow smt I enjoy..also that weeeeeee sound is adictive.

Bratmouse THANK YOU! I’ve been looking for a definitive explanation of these settings and you have certainly given that and more! I’m relatively new to ACC and been getting disheartened by settings. I run mine through a PS5 so I presume all the settings still do the same thing? Thanks again man👍

My man, I'm now using your setup for FFB and Video and wow for me its a huge upgrade in fun and comfort. I'm an older guy with lots of pain and these setting have made it so I can drive much longer and be in less pain!

I agree on the Ferrari, The sound of the car annoys me too much, so much that I can't drive it for long periods. I do however like the sound it make under braking. My 3 favourite cars: right now are the Ford Mustang GT3 2024, Porsche 992 GT3 R, and the New Lamborghini Huracan gt3 evo The Mclaren 720s Evo is undrivable for me where there is a track with really tight corners, it can't seem to turn tight enough in hairpins and sharp S bends like Monza or Spa.
