    I started on ACC sim racing for the first time at age 68 , done about 90 hrs in game total , and a friend who is 70 years old who’s in NZ recommended that I subscribe and watch your videos. I have subscribed and just watched this video. Thank you for sharing your insights and experience I am sure it will help me get quicker. Thanks again and best wishes Brian.

      Hey Brian, thanks for the kind words! That’s awesome! This is an excellent hobby. I’m glad your enjoying it! I am by no means an expert at sim racing my experience is more is profound in real life racing. Sim racing can be difficult to start as there is a lot to know. So im hoping to bridge the gap a bit. If you ever have any questions or need any help I would be more then happy to help. My email is in the “about” section of my channel. Cheers!

    I have a esport setup subscription for years. I dont have spend alot of time myself on a setup. I give it a few tweaks sometimes, but its good to go most of the time. Nice channel, subbed

      Nice! I assume it’s the coach Dave subscription? Those setups are usually a little more tame and easier to handle I’ve noticed which is great that we have options! Thanks!

      @@Bratmouse1 Yes it is 😀 Its also constantly updated. And you have wet/dry setups for every track.

    Hey man! Great video! Some subjective criticism! First of all I like the production. It seemed highway quality than channels of similar sizes, however, I would have loved some time stamps in the video that showed each run and what they were and a jump to the conclusion at the end with a simple graph or just talking about the differences. Wish you the best!

      @@cwis749 thanks! I’ve quit sim racing so I won’t be making any more videos on that. I will be starting up the channel sometime in the future with real life car stuff. Thanks for the comment

    It would have been nice to see *why* they're quicker. Taking a look deeper at the setup changes that could result in better times, handling, etc

      Thanks Chris! That setup felt really good. If I would put more time in I could easily go much quicker!

    Another interesting video, keep them coming. For the last two seasons in the league I race in (SRA) I have been using the Ferrari and am getting quite frustrated with it for the same reasons you mentioned. Mid corner I have zero grip, like I'm driving on ice, it probably has more to do with my skill than a problem with the car but the fact that you noticed it right away gives me encouragement that it can be improved with setup changes. Can you give us some changes to make to the standard aggressive setup that will help. I think I'm changing to the Lambo for next season as I am finding way more front end grip and feel. Thanks again.

    Hi yes that aggressive setup I know that understeer and oversteer I raced with it for 3 months 😱 Thanks for the video man.

    • @Bratmouse1
      @Bratmouse1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Most of them are brutal. The AMG has a very good aggressive setup for Watkins. But yeah most are 💩

  • @jorgedr5835

    I'm playing with a cheap wheel and I always pick the Agressive setup with some noob improvements (I have no idea what I'm doing) such as rear/front height and messing with the pressures a bit. But it happens the same as you... no grip, understeer and then oversteer... Like the car is not turning well but if I turn the wheel one milimiter more car will slide instantly.. I didn't know that was a setup issue.. I mean im not discarding my surely poor driving too but damn

    • @Bratmouse1
      @Bratmouse1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah some cars the aggressive setup is really bad. And some there a little better. But overall it needs to changed

    Thank you so much for sharing that!
    Do you think that for choosing a main car i can decide this based on the standard agressive setup without buying any, so basically "feel" the car thru the setup?
    In any case thank you for your time reading my question ❤

    • @Bratmouse1
      @Bratmouse1  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It really all depends on how fast you are? If you can tell me what kind of lap times you are doing on few different tracks. I could help you make that decision.

    • @marvinmeyer2366

      @Bratmouse1 I'm beginner basically and want to chose a car to stick to to learn everything, guess it's interesting to a lot of ppl... also maybe just upload some streams or so to push out some content, would love that
      Just to make sure you do understand what I mean... maybe I'm slumbering over my perfect car, just won't like it because of a bad setup, I mean some standard aggressive setups are better suited than others right... just want to avoid that and find my car 😊

      @@marvinmeyer2366 If your that new. I would probally try something like the 296 or AMG. Setups won’t make that much of a difference at the beginning

    • @marvinmeyer2366
      @marvinmeyer2366 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My question was regarding the specific feeling of a car, so if setups change that :)

    • @Bratmouse1
      @Bratmouse1  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@marvinmeyer2366 Setups will dramatically change the feeling of the car. Don’t over think this. Pick the car that you like the best. And go from there. You can always change cars later when you get the hang of it. There will be so much basic information that you will need to learn first that applies to all cars. Most likely with how new you are you will be 5 plus seconds a lap off pace so at that point you can pick just about anything and it won’t make that much difference until you gain some experience and get faster

    How can you judge without a good lap time? I dont get it

    • @Bratmouse1
      @Bratmouse1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would think 40.6 is a decent lap time in the Ferrari at kyalami not a top level esports time but 99% of us can’t do those times.. Regardless everyone has there skill set level and it’s been proven time and time again that these setups are anywhere from 1-1.75 seconds faster at a lot of different skill sets and lap time brackets.
