Terrain is GREAT at now about $750. First thing... install a Saunders Hyper-Glide slide. Than remove the serving from the cables where of course it runs through slide. Side note..... If you want actual Professional customer service/Warranty service.. Stay away from HOYT. Before it went back the 1st time: th-cam.com/video/KR3LAkYghJM/w-d-xo.html After it arrived NOT FIXED after 5 weeks: th-cam.com/video/gri0CId2VhE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=J5yyYok-AeEC4vjj *********************************************************************************

Well done, mate! You're a natural instructor...
Wool on string mercury style string Wes Wallace recuve 48 pounds @28 arrow size 29 inches. Shoot Split finger also do use cat whisker On some strings. Like to get a 500 Or 400. Want to shoot 250 up front Bow is cut past center. What should I get for shafts. Thanks
Disclaimer* this is my best guess and by no means a guarantee. If you're hard pressed to run a 29" arrow, you'd be closer to the 500/600 camp. Arrow length has a lot to do with dynamic spine. My hunting build is usually pretty darn similar to yours 50#, 250 up front, 400 spine, but that is with a full length (32") arrow. I like the full length arrow for bringing my point on way in. Hope that helps.
Great video and i does help with looking at mid price bows. Thanks again.
Who do i call to get this same setup
Wise, and snazzy choice ! My favorite Bow design of all times. Artistically Primal Riser.
Can i upgrade my pse evl 34 to 80lbs? How?
Yep, just need to replace the limbs. Find a PSE dealer near you and they should be able to take care of that.
so 25# is about a 800 spine 👍
Great Chart!
Outstanding info! Thank you!
Are those medium size limbs?
All kind of funny stuff.. Always interesting. Should be simpler.. Good Firm. Bow weight, point weight, arrow length... best arrow balance for speed and stability...but No. Thanks for making it look even more complicated. Lol
terrain is ok, pretty mid, not sold on mine after 2 years. kills deer for sure but not great feeling and spongey
Just bought a BowTech Solution at this shop a few days ago. The service here is second to none. Luke hooked me up. Love this place.
Great shot! So what’s the deal with the spring rush? You put the arrow under it?
Do you make the Flemish twist Rogue bowstrings? I bought 2 from 3 Rivers and they’re awesome. If not how would I go about getting one of yours?
I do not, Rogue makes them in house. As of right now, I sell them in person out of the shop.
Had both the sx and the ss and honestly I like shooting the ss way more. Sold the sx still shooting the ss34. Will be for a few more years.
Does this include wooden arrows?
I didn't like the feel of the cp30 grip
Saunders Pak tab
So if im pulling 58/60lb and have 150g tips then I’ll want a spine that’s 300? If im understanding you correctly? I’m still iffy on the spine grains, lower the number the stiffer it is yes? Did I get that correctly?
I know that the focus of this session was "remodeling" your hunting bow for 3D competition, and that process was certainly interesting. But what really bowled me over occurred when you were shooting "paper" indoors with the new setup. Your release-from your bow hand to the fingertips on your arrow hand-is as solid and consistent as I've ever seen on TH-cam. If more traditional bowhunters understood how critically important the longevity and the minimal movement of a release like yours is, they would miss and/or wound FAR fewer deer. Maybe you could do a session on this subject in a future video? Thanks, Chris (in Maine).
Great video - thanks!!
Would suggest if you struggle, then take the target off and shoot your shot at a bale and just shoot good shots, try shooting a lower power or no lens, the higher power lens helps you see the movement and the target perfectly which tends to help you assume you SHOULD BE shooting perfectly. Low power lens or no lens and focus on perfectly executed shots. The other issue tends to be that the score is the GOAL, try looking at the score as a DIAGNOSTIC of the quality of the shot - A GOOD SHOT will tend to score well (especially a good consistent shot) A POOR or inconsistent shot will tend to score LESS or at least less consistently !! Enjoy, have fun, it a game, it is not life or death !!! The targets are paper or foam !!
Great info. No fluff, straight to the point. Thanks...
the video starts at 6:25.
😂😂😂😂😂
Please do more videos. You both are so helpful and patient with “newbies”(really a 76 year old man that just needs to exercise more) I had never, ever shot a compound bow in my life till I visited with you 01/11/24. Last real shooting was when I was a kid, a wooden 20# bow at age 10 (66 years ago) (bagged my first Pa. Buck at age 12 with a 30:30 lever action). Anyways, on a Thursday, I chatted a long time with Luke and he so patiently answered so many questions to the point I could “Google” the rest. Next day I returned and (Joe helped me so much, answered silly questions, everything) and I picked up my very first compound bow along with the few necessities that go with the “bare bow” and an Omega release (a bit pricey but we’ll worth it) and I am so pleased with all the effort you two and the young lady and another fine gentleman (sorry don’t know his name) that spent the hours helping me and making sure that Bowtech SS34 went “out the door” in the best configuration for my uses. Many, many thanks! Just writing to mention this to folks on TH-cam that might see this video, if you are in the area, please see these folk for archery needs, you won’t regret it.
John, I'm glad you had a good experience. You were a pleasure to work with. I appreciate the feedback and I will pass it on to the guys. We'd love to start making more videos, finding the time to shoot and edit them is tough. I'm glad youre happy with your setup and we'd love to work with you more as you dive into it. Thank you! -Luke
You said by adding weight, it bumps you up to a higher spine. I don't understand I thought by adding weight you reduce the spine?
Adding point weight will cause you to require a stiffer spine, same thing with draw weight. Hope that clears up any confusion
Did you chrono in comfort or performance?
Mfjj speed tested this bow with 420 gr on performance and shot 324. He also said that while it's a little more of a dump into the valley, it wasn't more difficult than comfort.
324 is smokin with a 420 damn
I got my Terrain beginning of 2023. Easy to setup and tune. Build quality is ok, but not more. For example is the riser not flat on the rear stabilizer mount. As a result the side bar bracket kept coming loose again and again. Paint on the cams chips easy. Unfortunately the strings are a bummer. The yoke serving unraveld within the first 200 shots. Fixed it and went on shooting. Half a year of constant 3 D training, tournaments and so on the lower cam ate it's way half way thru the buss cable serving due to rub/contact to the module. Had to retune the bow on a regular basis every two months or so. Strings not so great, everything else is fine with this bow.
LOL I’m showing this too my wife and our 9yo daughter is watching too. 😂
You're still babaling
I'm am 75 years old male and I Shoot the r calluses at 50 lbs draw. I traded in my EnVidion for this bow. I hunt with Hexx arrows with u h brass inserts with u h rage hypodermic btisdheads.
I like bowtech but I find it funny that they say their composite limb pockets are just as strong/stronger then aluminum then for their 80lb now they use aluminum pockets. I think their composite pockets are fine as I haven’t heard of any problems with them.
I visited your bow shop the other day and would like to thank you for the hospitality and professionalism.
Thanks for coming by. I appreciate the feedback
I really hope you guys do an update on this bow.
Looks like the arrows and the stabilizer are damn near the same diameter lol
Nice thorough review Luke !
What app Is he using
That is FX Chrono w/the corresponding app
What kind of stabilizer is on this build? I followed along with same sight and rest so would like to know the brand weight of stabilizer.
That is a CBE Torx 11" on there
@ohiopremierarchery6800 thanks. What kinda broadheads you like to use for deer?
With this setup, I shot a Grim Reaper pro 3 blade @@PrimoReviews
How much smoother is the ss34 over sr350?
Depends on comfort vs performance mod. The SR is a speed bow, so the SS is going to be far more of a consistent draw cycle, which is what most people mean when they say "smooth".
It stands for Dead Frequency Carbon
Interesting shooting 70" 30lbs, every chart I have looked at says 500 spine is what I should be using?
Kickstands are stabilizers. Lol
Is this smoother than the Rezult?
Looks like and specs like an updated impulse 31…
I may have met the guy that you said Elite mislabeled the name of the bow…. He’s probably customer of the year for 2023 😂
