A big reason we like our V3X 33’s are they’re 33” from limb pocket to limb pocket and not just AtA. I sold my TRX 36 because the V3X is just as stable and has a very similar string angle. With the 80% mods I was able to achieve an effective let off of 75% on it. Quick mod, rest and stabilizer change and this thing is able to do anything I want extremely well.
It seems like a good bow but I wasn't a huge fan. Or at least there were much better shooting bows out there. Ended up ordering a Prime Inline 5. Most stable balanced bow I've ever held. I shot almost all the bows this year too.
1 minute in. - awesome I run a Revolt XL and have a trad bow as a backup. I train heavily with both. They need to be able to hunt deer, elk, bear, boar, targets. Different philosophy in build for both but same capability. I _could_ buy more bows if I _really_ wanted to. I guess we all could. But I don't think I should need to. My own philosophy. No ethnocentricism here. Idea for next year: Raffle off a bow and you have to trade that new bow for the subscribers old bow and shoot that all year next year.
Since it is his trip of a lifetime to Africa I would make that an exemption in place of his swap card. Good luck guys. Hopefully there are some build videos of your setups.
As someone who sold a Mathews V3 and a TRX 36 and just went to the V3X 33 as a do it all I’d say… either the Elite Rezult or that Bowtech Reckoning would be a wonderful “do it all” bow.
Pse evo xf 33...thank me later..lol...or go find you a good used Elite Ritual 35..it's a awesome Bow for everything I love mine and no it's not for sale. LOL😃
If I had to make the commitment it would probably take me 364 days to try and decide, I have four and shoot them all. I typically do three 3D shoots a month, 12 months a year
If I had to choose between the 4 I have now itd be a hard choice between the evo nxt 33 80# (super sweet bow, thanks guys) and my realm x 60# (imo one of the best drawing bows ever with the speeds it puts out). I think my shoulders would appreciate it if I chose the realm. Tbh that purple athens looks like a pretty solid choice. I cant wait to see who's eyebrows are missing first. And I lost could at Africa #17 and love the bow therapy. Keep up the fun and informational videos!
Joe i think your PSE EVL 34 is looking good, Luke i think your middle of the range is a purple Athens 35 but you might need a couple of tins off spray paint to tame that colour down a little bit. All the best guys!!
Great video guys. Well edited, and great "One Bow to Rule them All" concept. Others are mentioning Mathews V3X but I would also suggest looking at the Hoyt Ventum Pro 33 as well as the RX-7. Or if you want to stick with something you sell, then maybe the PSE Levitate. Yeah carbons are expensive, but if you only go with one bow,, the RX-7 and Levitate are light and fast and should cover all your hunting and target needs. Even in Africa...
Oh crap guys, you know how many archers can only afford ONE bow for like two, three or more years? I have 4 but I really like to use the same one that's seems to perform better for me for everything. To me it's better to get so familiar with a certain one that it is practically part of your body- like an old .22 rifle you can drive tacks with BECAUSE you are so familiar with it.
So in reality, it’s not a 1 bow challenge. It’s 2 bows (recurve and primary) back up bow, and you can switch with the other guy, or switch to a different bow. So you actually have up to 5 bows you could shoot, 6 if you were to choose the other persons back-up bow, unclear on that. Pick 1, have a backup, that’s it. No switching, no jumping to another platform. Just one.
That's what I'm going for instead of having several bows in going with 1 this year for it all... mathews v3 and I have a hoyt bit ill be selling that one after the new limbs arrive
I'd say pse evo fx 33 70# really fast for tac and just turn it down to 60# for indoor or the mathews trx 34 70# not as fast as the pse but a true do it all bow
Ha the way you guys shot on the range video the other day you should just send me the Athens 35 you have sell the rest and switch to shooting shotguns! Lol
Ok so, you said you can't find anyone to do this challenge. Now it sounds like almost everyone who is watching this wants in. My question is what bows are you willing to part with when your viewers do actually stick with one bow? Are you willing to have a random drawing for the viewers who stick to the contract? I mean I'd shave everything from the neck up if I lost. But if I win or anyone else beats you @ your own challenge seeing you guys bald from the neck up, not very exciting. Anyway just a thought. I'm positive I will not switch bows for any type of hunting I do. I can whitetail hunt or mule deer hunting, elk, bear, & antelope . Plus there is a very real possibility of hunting 3 other states maybe one other Continent. Then we have 5 spot 3 spot, and indoor 3d and outdoor 3d. I'll go a step further and raise you both that unless something happens and parts need replaced. I will NOT even change sights , rest, arrows, quiver, stabilizers crap strings for that matter. I mean if it's a single bow challenge there shouldn't be, Like 5 card stud jokers 2s and one eyed Jack's are wild oh and 5s . Lol let's really do a single bow challenge. Only way something gets changed on it is if it breaks or needs replaced 💯% before it breaks. Anyway your 5 card stud game just became wild cards stud. 😜. Step up boys.
It's called the "One bow challenge" but you have a backup bow and a swap bow card!? haha This is the easiest challenge that you guys have seemed to make more complicated than it needs to be. Pick one and stick with it for 365 days. If you are going to back a backup bow it should be designated at the beginning of the challenge and it is the only bow that can be used as the backup.
I bought my PSE Evolve 35 in 2017, and it's been my only bow for the last five years for indoor target archery, outdoor target archery, indoor/outdoor 3D, elk and whitetail hunting. Both of you lose, go shave your eyebrows...🤣
Challenge. Accepted.
Good stuff man, love to have you out one of these days for a shoot! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
@@ohiopremierarchery6800 I'm less than 3 hours to the OPA HQ! Definitely should road trip.
@@averagejackarchery Good deal man! Message us on the website so we can exchange contacts. Talk soon.
This is a cool challenge. I'm looking forward to it. Your Elite Terrain budget build actually brought me here.
Bowtech Reckoning 35 using it for this concept right now.
not looking back
Evl 34 for everything. Bowtech Reckoning also.
I would go with the bear archery refine or bowtech ss 34
Ive been using same bow for 15 years just updated accessories Mathews Switchback XT
I did the Prime Inline 5. Well balanced and pretty fast!
Elite impulse 34 or mathews trx 34 both for 3d ,target and hunting
Done...V3X 33 is all I need. Out of the bows you have available I'd probably go with the vista 33.
A big reason we like our V3X 33’s are they’re 33” from limb pocket to limb pocket and not just AtA. I sold my TRX 36 because the V3X is just as stable and has a very similar string angle. V3X 33 ... absolutely right
It seems like a good bow but I wasn't a huge fan. Or at least there were much better shooting bows out there. Ended up ordering a Prime Inline 5. Most stable balanced bow I've ever held. I shot almost all the bows this year too.
Bow tech reckoning 35/36
Mathews V3x 33, #60 and #70 mods, two sights and two sets of stabs and you actually can use a bow for EVERYTHING!
The rule should be in case your compound bow break your backup should be a longbow or recurve bow
Mathews V3 31 for TAC, elk hunting, outdoor and indoor target!
Evo nxt 33” 70lbs, turn it to 60 for target back to 70 for the hunt. Done and done.
vista 35 good luck
Rezult 36 or bow tech revolt x
PSE Levitate, 70#
If I had to choose it would be the ss34 or gen 2 36 which is what I am doing myself. One bow for everything and I can’t decide it’s very hard
Elite Terrain
We applaud your bravery! If you have seen our channel we have the same issue. I don’t think either of us could do it! Good luck!
This is going to be very very interesting
i would use my bear status eko for everything
Where at in OH are you guys? How far from Cleveland?
bowtech ss34
1 minute in. - awesome

Athens is what I’d pick
All I want is one bow dude.......does the word spoilt come to mind? The Athens vista would be great I think. Spiro out of Africa, regards
I would just shave now so when you go to Tac and Africa your brows might grow back in time.
😂
Pse evo xf 33...thank me later..lol...or go find you a good used Elite Ritual 35..it's a awesome Bow for everything I love mine and no it's not for sale. LOL😃
I would say Vista 33 evl 34 or the new 33 inch pse
Bowtech Reckoning 35, PSE evl 34/evo xf 33, bowtech revolt x, and the mathews v3x33 would be at the top of my list.
Joe, better get one of those Swap rests so you can at least switch arrows around and game the system.
That Pse evl 34 would be a good do it all bow
Why did you say Bear so quietly

Bowtech Solution and PSE EVL 34
I've been shooting my Bowtech Reign 6 since it's release in 2017. I thinking about buying a new bow this year. I'm curious to see what y'all choose!!
What has changed in bow technology that you want a new bow?
Joe i think your PSE EVL 34 is looking good, Luke i think your middle of the range is a purple Athens 35 but you might need a couple of tins off spray paint to tame that colour down a little bit. All the best guys!!

I’m a one bow guy and was sad I had to get strings.
Bowtech Sr350
Mathews Triax. All day every day
I would go with the vista 33 or 35. All bc I want a vista 33 so bad right now.
33 to 35 and 70lb

Hoyt RX-7 ultra...

It's not even April ...fools
Ha the way you guys shot on the range video the other day you should just send me the Athens 35 you have sell the rest and switch to shooting shotguns! Lol
Ok guys it’s a one bow a year and by the end of the video it’s 3 or 4 bows lol just do what you do guys
All those bows and no Primes? Y’all are missing out.
Ok so, you said you can't find anyone to do this challenge.
