    Great review! I went to the bow shop with this bow in mind. I'm brand new to bowhunting and had never shot a bow before. I didn't want spend on a flagship as my first bow. After some research I decided that I would be looking at the Terrain because I have 30" draw and I'm 6'1“ so I wanted a longer ATA. Once at the shop they fit me with the Terrain, a Hoyt, and a Bowtech in the same price point. After putting several arrows through all of them I decided on the Terrain. Been shooting it for a couple weeks and I'm loving it. I added the Hamskea Trinity Micro, CBE Engage Micro 5 pin, and Easton Axis SPT 300 arrows. Would definitely recommend this bow to anyone new or upgrading from entry level style bows that don't want to jump all the way to flagship level. #keephammering 🔨🔨🔨

      I'm actually looking into this bow right now as my first. I haven't shot any yet but the Terrain is calling me and I pretty much want the same set up as yours. You've had it for a little while now. How's it holding up? And are you still satisfied with it or do you feel you need more that premium flagship bows offer?

    Thank you very much for this thorough video on the Elite Terrain. I am a long draw archer (31.5"), and this video covered all of my questions and concerns. I appreciate the fact that you demonstrated its accuracy too. It means little to me when reviewers shoot a bow, but then ashamedly fail to show you their results!
    I actually ended up buying the Mountain Tan color, had it set back to 62#, and I just added the 10" CBE stabilizer bar you spoke of, in addition to an Apex long quiver. It shoots very smoothly, and I especially like the draw cycle and ATA length. I purchased a fairly basic Trophy Ridge sight, and it does the job well for my 40-50 yard targets. Thanks again.

    Ended up with this bow a few weeks ago. Shot it against the Torrex, Amplifi, WT Pro, and Drive NXT. Overall it just felt smoother and more comfortable to me. First time I've left Bear in 20+yrs so it's new turf for me. Really liking the bow so far, then I saw the Omnia......I need to stay off the interwebz.......wife is gonna KILL me.

      @@ohiopremierarchery6800can this bow go below its draw weight range? I have the 55-70lb draw weight terrain and I was wondering if I could turn it down to 45lbs? Just for a little while cause of slight shoulder issues

    • @ohiopremierarchery6800
      @ohiopremierarchery6800  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@houseatreides6683 I can't find in their manual a maximum amount of turns on the limb bolt. The most you'd want to take it out is to look at the limb bolt from the back side of the bushing it goes into and make sure you see at least a thread or two left. Might take you a couple pounds under 55, but it probably wont get you close to 45

    Like the fact that you didn't say something to the effect "for a price point bow" which is an all too common refrain. Such statements are discouraging when the bow is being considered. Solid review.

    I got my Terrain beginning of 2023. Easy to setup and tune. Build quality is ok, but not more. For example is the riser not flat on the rear stabilizer mount. As a result the side bar bracket kept coming loose again and again. Paint on the cams chips easy. Unfortunately the strings are a bummer. The yoke serving unraveld within the first 200 shots. Fixed it and went on shooting. Half a year of constant 3 D training, tournaments and so on the lower cam ate it's way half way thru the buss cable serving due to rub/contact to the module. Had to retune the bow on a regular basis every two months or so. Strings not so great, everything else is fine with this bow.

    Wrap the left side of the sling around through the bottom. Makes it easier to get in and out of with gloves, etc.

    Great video . Im looking at getting a mid priced Elite . I believe you and other reviews have convinced me that the Terrain is what I’m looking for. Im 45 and have had a few work shoulder injuries . Would the 45-60 lb version be enough for hunting . Thanks

    i liked your video a lot. In your opinion how would the Terrain compare to an older elite flagship like the Ritual? I am shooting at Ritual 33 and like several features on the Terrain.

    • @ohiopremierarchery6800
      @ohiopremierarchery6800  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ritual 33 is going to have a better feel to it just being a flagship, more comfortable draw. For me, buying new gives you the warranty and likely a better resale value too just being that it has rotating modules and you can sell it to anyone. With the warranty I'd give the edge to the terrain. Especially if you don't see a huge difference in preference on the draw cycles

    Awesome review, I think you might of just convinced me to save myself 500$ and buy a terrain over a Mathews atlas. I have a 31 1/2” draw length so I’m pretty limited on options . Was there any vibration while shooting it? Thanks in advance!

    • @ohiopremierarchery6800
      @ohiopremierarchery6800  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's definitely worth a shot! Now it will stack up more just being on the far end of the draw length range but its a hard bow to complain about! There was some, but once I threw my accessories on there it was nothing of concern

    Or you can buy a flagship bow from a year or two ago used for less than the "price point" bows... And last year's flag ship is still a better bow...

  • @johnhildenbrand2642
    @johnhildenbrand2642 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why does everyone assume that "price point bows" are going to suffer from an inherent lack of accuracy? Every bow made these days is capable mechanically of more accuracy than any human is, some are smoother, more shock free, and fun to use, but no bow adr these days is inaccurate

    Debating on this or ritual 33

    • @ohiopremierarchery6800
      @ohiopremierarchery6800  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Now the Ritual is a full flag, but it is hard to beat the tuning with the rituals. Also if youre one of those guys that goes through bows, my bet is resale on this will be higher than the ritual between the newer year model as well as the rotating modules. Hope you get a chance to shoot em both.

      I have a 2019 Elite Ritual 35, and i shoot 70lbs.@ 30in draw n have shot a lot of bows over a 25yr. span. But this bow blew me away everytime i shot it the first year! The grip, draw, and balance is awesome! And it drives tacks dont think Ill ever sell it.. The Athens 35 is a heck of a bow its screaming my name the color options are AWESOME!!! Great vids keep em coming guys.. 👍🏹

    20$ for a peep?

    • @ohiopremierarchery6800
      @ohiopremierarchery6800  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hamskea Raptor Peep, tons of size options, game changer in different lighting situations and getting a more consistent view through your peep. For me its an easy way to get a lot of bang for an extra 10$, but you can always go with your standard aluminum/carbon peeps and work just fine.
