All I'm going to say is that if you think the cost of living is low in China, specially Beijing yeah.. people average $1,000, tell me how much can you save per month even if you make $2,000. And opportunity thats because of your skin color you have much more options, do you know the current unemployment rate?

Live wherever makes you happy and treats you better. But, and this is a HUGE ONE. Please educate your audience that the United States of America, US or USA is the name of the country you're referring to. The Americas are comprised of 35 different countries. People like to point out how poorly Americans are with world geography, yet very few I come across don't call the USA simply America. Double standard. Also, how many countries have you visited? That is intriguing you haven't been to other countries that felt similarly safe to China. I doubt China would be transparent about its public image in the media, especially regarding issues like the drug problem. Hometown population? vs population of where you live now? Are you comparing a village to one of the largest metro areas in the world? It seems like China is a conservative's dream come true. If you believe in sacrificing personal privacy and freedom for the "greater good" without any say in the matter, then I suppose China could be seen as a paradise for those who haven't made major mistakes in life. The USA is facing data privacy issues, which can be seen in its diminishing workforce. Those who are willing to take on risky, low-paying jobs face numerous employment barriers. You see this already in disappearing journalists in China. Look at how China has funded human rights atrocities against Uyghurs and Rohingya. China looks like a pretty scary/dangerous place if you ethnically descend from either of those two groups.

Very happy you enjoy your life in China. The only thing I disagree is about working. Career chance, yes there are tons of opportunities in China, but making good money easily, nah... everyone still needs to put lots of efforts and their best for good returns. There are many people earning much money in China, but there are also many many lower income people. Just like everywhere in the world, we don't have China Dream in here. Opportunities are lots, but also competitions. China is a very good place to live and work, but China is not heaven.

She failed to mention the mass stabbings in China. There have been many of them, and they often transpire in schools. One stabbing killed 31 people. It was in Kunming in 2014. Also, Americans are free to criticize The POTUS. I suggest you abstain from slandering Xi Jinping, in China.

"Refuse to move back...." Has anybody demanded that you should? You compare the safety of "your home town" to the safety of China.... Couldnt you possibly find another "home town", or is there just one town in your country? I live in a small country, but we have many towns. Some safer than others. I do not live in my home town, but another safer town. Still, I could move over the border to Germany, and find even safer grounds. My wife came from another country, and she find my town here much safer, so she will also "never move back". I am happy you found the best place for you, and hopefully never have to move.

i am malaysian chinese my wife is from inner Mongolia now we are living in dongguan city. i have living in china already 5 year. i totally agree all your point and i even always take a video to post on my Facebook to tell all my friend how safe is china and even how clean is china . i had an experience on my self before. one day i have a discussion with one of my friend who is from india , so after we finished our discussion i had left my power bank in a coffee house when we went back and this power bank is a bit expensive . so when i reach home i just know that i left my power bank in the coffee house and i drive back to that coffee house to try to get back , when i reach there i had see my power bank still on that table and on one is taken. so in china even you left your stuff in the table and just walk away after an hour when you back to that table all your stuff still in there.

sure you have all that safety but there will always be certain freedoms you reliquish i guess it depends on the person if they dont mind giving up most freedoms and accepting a higher level of general control for that safety, on the other hand if you want alot of loose freedom with that comes less safety and control from the government where you rely on yourself and your community
