These Noodles Will Make You Cry in Beijing, China

Hey guys! I recently went to one of my favorite restaurants called Fat Sister (pangmei) in Beijing! The noodles are from Chongqing and feature a flavor that is totally unique due to the special peppercorns they use. The peppercorns literally make your tongue feel like it’s vibrating! When I first moved to China, the flavor was a little overwhelming. Now that I am used to it, I CRAVE it. Would you try these noodles? Let me know in the comments!!

Foods for ordinary people in the US and Canada on daily basis: Burger, Pizza, Pasta, Salads, Steak, Fried Chicken, Fries, Taco, Subway/submarine, bread, super sweat dessert, milk, pancakes, Americanized "Chinese Foods"......that's pretty much about it. Of course there are many other soecialty foods or high end restaurant great stuff but overall, your choices are extremely simple and boring after some time. While in China in almost every corner you will find hundreds different stuff to choose from.

0:37 I think you might have a misunderstanding between "numb oil"(which literally means 麻油 word by word) and sichuan peppercorn oil . The oil u tasted at this timepoint should be Sichuan Peppercorn Oil (花椒油）,but not 麻油，cuz 麻油 actually refers to Seasame Oil ( “芝”麻油）
