Thanks for the wonderful experiences you are giving me through your videos. I'm 71 years old. I would kill to be able to go live in China for a few months out of the year and enjoy all the scenery and all the lovely people. I was there back in 2009 and went on the Yangtze River Cruise. I fell in love with the place and the people. Please keep your videos coming. Please stay safe with your family. Stay healthy and strong a friend Maria To

If possible, you are welcome to come back to China. China has developed rapidly in the past decade, and it can be said that compared to 2009, it has reached a different level.

@@xie3368 Yes, I see that through b roses by TH-cam videos. When I was there 2009 I just fell in love with a country and the people. I can only imagine when I see her videos how I advance everything is and China is a country that has so many natural wonders. I honestly wish I could retire there from 71 then crave a peaceful retirement in a relatively safe environment. All countries have their pros and cons in this world, but I like what I see in China as far as a peaceful way of life 😔 unfortunately, I don't think I'll live long enough to be able to enjoy at least a year, a peaceful way of life in China. This is why I think Rose b for her videos. I still get to enjoy the beauty of China and the lovely people there 🥰

I traveled in China by planes and by high speed trains many many times but never had any experience of delays. Chinese airports are fantastic and high speed train stations are super modern. The reason why take high speed train is they are comfortable and you can have a good experience with beautiful scenery while plane journey is boring......Now China train network is the best in the world... ultra fast, always on time (98% of the time), no strike (If in France... so many strikes in France), comfortable, not expensive... Saw a TH-cam video somewhile ago where some Western 'experts' said that China would never show a profit on the High Speed trains.I guess they miss the point.Chinese government heavily invests in infrastructure to improve the lives of its people. It's not about profit first. This the true.True you can not see it in Western media when they speak about china.

Maaatttteee! I've been on China's HSR from Beijing to Shanghai. What an amazing experience. Travelling at 350kph and not a single rattle inside train. Their Train Hostesses are models. You must check out their restaurant carriage on their HSR. A group of us Aussies went there and we drank out all the beer (no one over did it). We sang and the Train Hostesses joined us with photo shoots.

@@DESHENGLI-vu5cl Mate, I have video's and photos. But not for public display. I've got the photos of the Train Hostesses with us Aussies taking turns wearing them (the Train Hostesses were laughing with us) ... and also at a park at West Lake when this old gentleman was doing those 'slow moves'. About 30 Aussies gave up the tour and stood behind him ... and mimicked his actions. I'm sure the Senior gentleman saw us from the corner of his eye but pretending to look deep into the horizon. He went for about 5 minutes, then he upped the ante. He started to do high scissor kicks in the air. We Aussies tried to copy and keep pace, but we started to fall to the ground, one by one in exhaustion (we had old Aussies, young Aussies, overweight Aussies, etc ... just collapsing). Even the younger, fitter Aussies fell with exhaustion ... but the elder man kept going ... and I swear ... I saw a slight SMILE on the corner of his mouth with his stern face ... pretending he didn't see us while using his peripheral vision. I never laughed so much in my life.

I'm a British expat in China
In the UK, I used to regularly take the London to Birmingham New Street trains. 190km journey, which takes 1 hour 45 mins.
The trains were always delayed. They were horribly cramped. The NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) of the Class 390 were quite poor. And they ALL smelled of chemical toilets.
And they had the cheek to charge you £55 for standard class f you're lucky. £80 if you're not.
In China, I regularly take trips to Shanghai from Hangzhou. It's around 180km, and takes 58 min.
I book the business class suit, which costs the equivalent of £40 return.
For that, I get access to their lovely business class lounge at the train stations, fully reclyining electric seats, far superior NVH, nice snacks box, free drinks, excellent service, and the trains are hardly ever delayed.
Standard class are even cheaper, around £11 return. First class coaches are pretty good to (around £20 return)
The UK is a bad example, it has some of the worst train services (relative to price) on earth. But I doubt you'll find better value for money anywhere on earth than China's HSR

With the low fares, the deficit of the state-run railway is growing, and even the Shinkansen is being built on rural routes. Since China cannot afford to go bankrupt, the accumulated deficit will soon be $1 trillion. Also, the high-speed railway technology acquired from Germany and Japan leaves safety concerns open, and there is a possibility of another major accident.
I think they will immediately cover it up, just like the previous accident...
But do you still want to ride it?!

In addition, when you are travelling with your family, having a relatively smaller space won't be a big thing because I love staying close to my wife and my kids.

Looks like from Chongqing to Kunming is about 1hr20min by air and ~9hr driving (~825km). Business class might be a nice splurge just to try, but for thin people like me, second class is already nice, considering it's a bullet train. I can potentially see using business class as an overnight sleeper (as there would be no views to enjoy) while not having a hotel expense and saving travel time in order to wake up at a new destination. Nice comparison video!👍

This question is quite good, let me answer you. 1. There are sleeper high-speed trains in China, the price is relatively high, the number of lines is relatively less. bcs sleeper usually needs extra-long lines, and accordingly, the demand will be less and the price will be higher. 2. High-speed railway tends to let the train run during the day due to safety and other factors when arranging the schedule. Vehicles and lines can be overhauled at night. 3. The high-speed sleeper train has two layout forms, one is the traditional horizontal layout and the other is the newly designed vertical layout. The privacy management of the vertical layout sleeper train is much better than that of the traditional layout . Basically everyone has an independent privacy space separated by cloth curtains. 4. The price of high-speed sleeper train is similar to that of economic warehouse air ticket.

Make sure it doesn't upset them in case is not aloud being such clean people maybe these places are very strictly protected so that germs won't go there and make the Chinese people ill; is better to think of this as well, bless them. I have a feeling deep in my heart that their health system is super, super good and caring and people are healthy and happy😀...am I right😀? Wonderful video, much apreciated👏, thank you🙂❤.

Maybe if the US or other western countries ask nicely, China might help you build high speed rail in your country ON Time and ON budget. They have in Indonesia, Kenya , etc. You will find more countries asking China to do more infrastructure because they have such good experience.

The city where I live is very close to my hometown, about 400 kilometers. It only takes me two hours to go home for the high-speed train on holiday and stop at four stops. Get on the bus at 9: 00 am, arrive at the station at 11: 00 noon, take a bus for half an hour, and go home to have dinner with your family at 11:30.

I see that their population has recuded through all the years, it used to be around 1.6b and now it is 1.4b that is why I wonder.

These high speed trains are super smooth at 300+ km/h because the tracks are precision hand wielded. Some wielders are women.

    CHINA'S HIGH SPEED TRAINS
China has the fastest trains in the world (both operational and non operational)
The fastest operating train in the world has a top speed of 460km per hour (China's Shanghai Maglev)
Fastest Non-Operational train has a top speed of 623km per hour (China's T Flight hyperloop train)
The fastest operating train in the world, the Shanghai maglev, is the first commercial maglev train. It uses electromagnets to float above the tracks, which eliminates resistance, reduces maintenance costs, and allows for higher top speeds.
China is currently developing a new maglev hyperloop train called the T-Flight, built by the state-owned China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC).
The train, which travels through low-vacuum tubes, broke the world speed record in a test run, reaching 623 km/h or 387 mph. CASIC aims to have the trains eventually reach 1,000 km/h or 621 mph, with the line is expected to be operational by 2035.
    JAPAN'S HIGH SPEED TRAINS
The fastest train in Japan has a top speed of 320km per hour (JR Shinkansen)
The fastest non-operational train in Japan has a top speed of 603km per hour
Japan is currently developing the L0 Series Maglev, connecting the 286 kilometers between Tokyo and Nagoya in just 40 minutes-faster than flying between the two cities
With a record speed record of 375 mph or 603 km/h, it previously held the top speed record before being surpassed by China’s new maglev hyperloop train (in development). The new Japanese maglev train is scheduled to be operational by 2027
