so the thing about time trials with limited items is that the items will always appear in the roulette in the same order. so if you're looking for a specific item and only have 3 in the rotation, just look up at which order they come by in and select the one you want the next time it passes. this knowledge saved me a long, long time when oing back to get spray cans and the like

why is it that when i download this mod in 2025 the sprites are just base knuckles sprites the effects are not rainbow but rather clear and im missing some abilities that you have shown such as 1:18

A little late on this but after a trick, you can spindash to hard drop, causing a boost at the cost of the electric aura, you can use this to say, go up the water path in Mirage Saloon. Do keep in mind you have to do this during your inital trick jump.

I recommended this game to all my friends, but among those who didn't quit early on, one of the most experienced gamers quit at Balloon Park lmao. understand that it's a reference to the original, but was there no one in the cart crew who pointed this out? Despite being better than SRB2K, there are hardly any videos made about this game, I think that's because there are too many "A course where you just have to fight against gimmicks rather than rivals", "A course that places too much emphasis on concept and loses the competitive element" I hope it gets better in the future...

You definitely have caught on to a bit of a hands-off tutorial hidden in the design of Chrome Gadget, really I think that applies to all the race tracks in this cup. They're all very small but very dense and tricky, with loads of obstacles, gimmicks, and tight turns, and packed within them are many clever little ways to utilize the environment to preserve speed - the route of drifting up that steep slope and releasing a mini turbo down it is one such hidden strategy, so good on you for finding it! The big secret is that this mid-air mini turbo release technique (called a triangle dash by some players) is not just a tutorial in Chrome Gadget - it's actually usable to great effect on every track in this cup! Additionally, going forward, several tracks are going to have sequences where such a technique is going to be good to keep in mind. I don't think it's ever strictly *necessary*, but some sections were 100% built with it in mind and will feel pretty awkward otherwise. Also, Chrome Gadget absolutely has some nasty shenanigans that simply didn't come up in your race on the track - I won't reveal them, but they're potentially the most devious tricks of all, for better or worse.

What are you talking about? - Characters have always been able to run on water with sufficient speed. Grab a pair of sneakers to see this; it was true since the final demo days at the latest. The gif you showed also shows abnormally high speed from the slope, I don’t think this is changing? - Sprite rotation is already a thing though? Look at XMomentum’s spring corkscrew mechanic for example

While we might never see Dark City or Grand Eggship I hope the game's climax gets some sort or revamp. It feels kinda anticlimactic with Brack and then straight to credits. A Super Sonic fight and proper ending scene would be cool.

I do overall like this E-102 character mod. I do have a couple of minor complaints though. Yes, E-102 is great for lava levels, but not for levels where there is very small platforms to stand on. if you miss a platform, you lose, unlike knuckles who can recover by climbing walls. In particular, the Sonic o6 level mod does show some of E-102's weakneses. the mayor one is how he cannot spindash which means those So6 levels are unbeatable because they require you to use a spindash and E102 is too tall. You have to use debug mode to go through, but the downside is that you can't save the game when using cheat tools.

There’s only one thing that I think you should do this year and it’s make your thumbnails more expressive just by a bit!!! And fun ,I think it would grab more peoples attention or something like that!!! Not trying to be rude, but I think it’s something that would be a little neat to have , if you don’t want that, that’s alright!!!!

Man, even for me who already mastered Sonic in SRB2, I don't really like Sonic's Thok, this skill could be much better, even the insta-shield is more useful (at least for me, I never take damage in any Sonic game or mod which has Insta-Shield), an example of what Thok could be like, is in Mystic Realm CE, where Thok is much more useful there. In fact, Mystic Realm improved many aspects of the base game, or at least in the Beta/Alpha Build that I played (It only works on SRB2 2.2.14 Early Access), they improved some elemental shields.

I really hope Dark City Zone doesn't get scrapped
