6:45 when I started playing I had this exact thought. Thing is, I was also playing Metal Sonic! The time it takes to charge a spindash depends on your character's stats - for other characters, especially the ones with lower weight, it's a lot more clear the two timers are offset.
8:09 Another thing you could do, as well as with certain sections with springs on other tracks, is to drift into the springs. Taking this section for example, before going over the springs, start drifting to right. After going over the springs, drift back down into the springs while still holding the drift. After you have reached the top and steered yourself towards the finish line, you can release you drift at that point.
Sealed Stars take into account your lives as well! Going into a Sealed Star becomes pretty consistent once you get first place with at least 5+ lives to spare!
14:00 I've seen videos where a few player would backtrack before the race starts to grab rings or items. I the only reason why someone would do this that I can think of other than serving as a buffer is to stack the boost from using rings with other boost sources like the spin dash, first blood, sneaker panels, etc. Especially when using C class characters as they are the most effective at boost stacking.
10:28 Items are affected by your forward and backwards movements. Try getting some speed first before shooting the next time you come across something similar.
9:22 Slightly ambiguous wording on that. If you're talking about the race rank then no, rings don't matter at all. If you're talking about the grand prix rank then they do matter as you get one point for every two rings for a maximum 50 point bonus. 10:28 A lot of the time with prisons like that one you'll need to get a running start if you want to roll a gachabom off the edge to hit it. Alternatively you can save that prison for last and charge full speed at it kamakaze style, that's what I like to do. 15:56 Amy. You can tell by the colour of the explosion and the voice line. 20:29 In the event of a tie for 1st place, you'll know it happened immediately because two signposts will fall instead of just the one. That happened in SRB2Kart as well. 26:47 Just short. To get into a Sealed Star you need to hit the point requirement for an A rank, which is 425/550 points. Holding on to more rings would've gotten you in. Go on, continue to slander the Gardentop. One day you'll figure it out, then your tune will change as mine did.
Thanks for the info, but I'll decry the Garden Top as I please. What sort of slander laws are they going to have on Mobius? I reckon I can win a lawsuit.
from what i've been told, the secret race at the end isnt just a points thing, you need a minimum of 50 rings total in your stats for the whole cup. I could be completely wrong, but that might be the reason the relatively high score isnt helping
You know you can stop the item roulette anytime you want by pressing the item button, right? Also, your ring total must reach or exceed 50 in a cup to assess the sealed star. Edit: It turns out 50 rings are not needed, but its a good idea to clear races with alot, because every 20 Rings grants you an extra continue, as well as add to your rank.
The spray can locations ranges from "they didn't even try" to "how would anyone figure that out without a guide?"

This guy would hate Kirby air-ride
Jokes aside, if you hold backward while dismounting you can get a boost, but it makes the released top harmless
