    If there is disc degeneration, it is better to use a weighted belt, to avoid compressing vertebrae any further. Either way, when using the vest, or belt, one should stay "on", thinking "taller", to avoid compressing joints with the added weight. That's why it isn't indicated to wear those things for hours on end; any awkward movement's injury potential is greatly increased when one wears those.

      I would not wear a weighted vest if I had a diagnosis of disc degeneration.

    I love your hair ❤️, i have just a small question : I’m told by trainer not to drop the weight on the floor when you go down but hovering it like 3 inches above the ground. Does it matter much ? Thanks

    • @BoneBootCamp
      @BoneBootCamp หลายเดือนก่อน

      It all depends on your flexibility in terms of your ability to PLACE the weight back down on the ground in a deadlift. There is also the option of not doing a full "gym" deadlift and merely hovering as your trainer suggested. this is particularly good for people whose hamstrings prevent putting the weight on the ground in a neutral spine. Meet your body where it is comfortable.

      Ok, I understand. The hip CAR is very difficult to do correctly. As you point out, we often times want to do more than is truly available to our body. I would recommend doing the HIP Car lying on your side with a bolster behind your bum and waist. does that make sense?

    • @BoneBootCamp

      I do full length workouts for my private clients. My Free You tube channel has anything from 7 minutes to 25 minutes. You can always perform multiple workouts.

      Ironwear fitness vest. Although I am now using the Hyper vest Elite. it is more breathable.

    is it safe to go swimming in the vest?

    • @BoneBootCamp
      @BoneBootCamp 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have not considered it before. Logically, I can see using it for a water aerobics class to create a weight bearing effect. Personally, I believe for me it would possibly alter the mechanics of my swim....not sure my lower back would be happy afterwards. I would ask a PT who knows your body mechanics how they see it impacting your swim.

    Great channel. You have many videos that I can’t wait to watch and learn from. How should a person get started? Also, if a person is walking every day for six months and doing some upper weight training, would improvement be seen or does it take years? Thanks.

    • @BoneBootCamp
      @BoneBootCamp ปีที่แล้ว

      The best place to start is to watch the videos on the best way to hinge and squat. Core exercise for OP is important too because you want to be certain that you are performing weight lifting with good control in the center (core) so that lifting a weight does not disturb your low back or hips or shoulders.

    Thank you for only a few gentle lunges! When you do this at home, do you play music in the background? If so, how do you select it?

    • @BoneBootCamp
      @BoneBootCamp ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sharon, I tend not to play music but I am probably unique. I would select a slower tempo playlist for a cardio that is this gentle and slow. versus the cardio with some hopping I would use some pop or dance music.
