    @flyingfootage It took some time and I was really in it to investigate whats going wrong and that you are not able to lift off in really ideal conditions. I see this now, after watching your unboxing video of your Lance board from two years ago. When I watch this video here I see that your back foot is nearly complete on the black pad. But I have seen that the inserts for your footstraps are on the yellow pad. And this is the point here. I mean the manufacturer knows where to place the inserts for the foot straps, aint? They place them where your mast is. And this is it! You are far ahead of your board and thats why cant lift off. Your weight still pressing on the board and the upforce of your foil frontwing cant lift you off. Step back and orientate yourself to the inserts for the footstraps on your board. This will change everything!

      @@flyingfootage I'll clarify it a bit more where you slow down the video. you can clearly see that you lose balance and both of your toes or heels are off the board. this is because you stand on one line. In martial arts this is also discouraged because of sideways instability, for example in a jiu jitsu defensive stance you are encouraged to stand At shoulder width with with your feet not on one line. you need this offset to be able to balance the board left to right. on a snowboard it's different because you have the bindings. on a windsurfer you can stand on one side because you will switch to the other side during a jibe. when wing foiling you need to find a stance that you can have for both heelside and toe side riding and that is comfortable and allows you to have good leverage on the board front to back and side to side. for me that is front foot on the windward side of the middle line and back foot towards the downwind side it helped me a lot for jibing, riding toeside, but also general stability

    Hi mate hope you are well ? Not sure where you Put the foil in the mast track but if i remember with a xxl allvator i had it at around 4 . As you pump and pull with your arms you will start to get forward movement and more speed and lift , you need to keep front foot forward and then level the board think about your feet balancing the front foil like standing in the middle of a seesaw or balance board . To start flight you will need back foot to push and or bounce a little to start the takeoff then front foot to level the flight. your board and foil are fine for you to learn you go not need to buy anything more imo , you just need to keep at it in strong 10 meters per second winds or 20 mph or more and work on pumping and take off and flight it will come . great video and I enjoy seeing you progress all the best Chris

    • @PeterGogolin
      @PeterGogolin หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@flyingfootagewhat size is the frontwing then? 2200 sqcm? do you have by any chance to measure your speed on the water? When I started without any pump action experience I needed to have around 15 knots to lift off, with around 94 kg weight, 5 sqm, 190 liter board, 2200 sqcm frontwing and around 10 to 12 km/h speed. Nowadays, if u check my latest videos, its a bit earlier with 8-10 km/h and may a bit less wind. This is caused by a little less weight I have on my ribs... yay!... and a better pump technique to get more pressure out of the wing. My foot position improved and is more balanced. And the feeling for the upforce momentum is clear. Sometimes you have the right speed but the balance works against you. Lean back a bit, let the board lift off and let the foil do its magic and lean forward again to regulate your boards horizontal position. For me this is always like a plane starting curve comparison. Take speed, lean back a bit without stalling, and lean forward when in midair to balance the board again. I cant explain this better, this is based on the feeling I have in the water, so it may help you a bit... And watch may some videos about pumping for a optimal wing movement. It has to be more in circles then just forward and back... Hope this helps... 😊

      @@flyingfootage I just realized that you have like 8 m/s wind. this is by far, for the equipment you have, enough to lift off. What about your foot position? Do you have the feeling that you have enough speed but cant take off? There is a way to check the balance of your board which should indicate your foot position on the board. You may check Damien LeRoy th-cam.com/video/4rt1bhiMvhU/w-d-xo.html he can explain things very well. I had my AHA-effect when putting my feet some centimeters back which came like a wonder, the board was really greedy to take off now. My back foot is exactly where the mast is and my foot position in width is slightly wider than my shoulders. you should make marks on your board to help you adjust and orientate where your rmast is and where you should position your feet. Good luck for your next session! Cant wait to see more :) check th-cam.com/video/Fqr4shpVUU8/w-d-xo.html as well :D

    You should be fine, Lean more forward. Also don't stand in the middle of the board length wise, put your back foot over the center line so the heel is on the center line. This will give you better control over the board rolling sideways.

      @@flyingfootage I agree with @StefanWelker A bit more weight on the front foot will help. Little pushes of weight on the back foot to get the foil flying and then level out with more front foot pressure. It will come.

    It seems like you fear when the foil go up. Take some speed and let it go. Don’t stop the power in the wing. Believe in you and go up. Stay right, on the midle line of your board. Be cool and it will happen.

      Thank you very much for your advice I do appreciate it. 🙏 every time I get some lift my board goes to my right side, I guess it is because I’m not standing in the middle of the board as you ar Suggesting, next time I go out I will try to rethink my foot position. 🙏🏄🏼‍♂️

      @@flyingfootage exactly, this indicates that your balance point is a bit too much on the right of the long line center of the board. I would try to put marks on your board, as I have on the Fone Rocket Air. There is a marker for the most front position for my front foot and the back foot tries to stay above where the mast is - I can see the fin box a bit on the surface - and try to keep my back foot centered the there. After the lift off I shift the back foot a bit to the front to put more pressure on the front that the foil does not stall. The balance comes with the ride.

    I recommend foiling behind a boat first to learn to handle the foil, it will be easier with a wing later
