I agree with you! I actually sold my HIPE last month. I suspect that it has held back my progress. It is a good concept but I wouldn't recommend it for a novice wing foiler. I think that a hard board will be lighter, less "sticky" to the water, and easier to balance rail to rail. I will let you know what I find out after shaping and riding my hard board. Keep going!

Maybe step 5cm further forward for less drag and try one size bigger wing or 5kn more wind, or try pumping?
