I believe Murderofbirds still has a video on all the outfit changes and other updates going into Volume 4 where he also says that Miles and Keary state that the Volume takes place 6 to 8 months after Volume 3 finale. Also, and I'm not sure how accurate wiki is on this but they basically say that Ruby's 18 with everyone else basically being 20. Finally, still not sure if they are considered canon or not, but both RWBY X Justice League movies add a bit to the time scale as well with the first one actually taking place during the montage of Volume 7, like RWBY Arrowfell, and the second one taking some time after the end of Volume 9. Within the first ten, twenty minutes of the second movie they give you a nugget of info on when the first movie takes place. I think Weiss says that it's been something like 3 months? Tbh, I just think in the everafter ppl don't age. Like they still grow and change but time is merely a construct in the ever after. Hell, there are fruits that can send ppl back in time.

This is why I ship them. Because through it all they've been together and they understand each other perfectly. Oscar and Ruby are pretty much just an attraction. He doesn't know Ruby and he's not on an intimate level like Ruby and Jaune are. Like minded souls make the best couples. And you just don't get that with Oscar.

I was thinking time dilation, maybe the other world moves slower compared to the real would, so juane may have been in this world a good 20ish years before the twins dropped in and then when they went back it wasn't to their time but much after, that would explain how they came in before the world changed but the book could be released in a time that i could be a classic for the characters, i'm guessing juane then spent another 10 years on his own before team rwby dropped in. My theory is kinda confirmed by the series 9 epilogue when they were talking how enough time had passed that most of the conflicts had been settled and everyone now was beginning to thrive and recover and then the rwby team and juane popped back into the real world, even though it had only been a few days for team rwby since they fell off the walkway.

There is some clarification with volume 7 thanks to Pietro specifying weeks of time Maria has been helping him. Add on the justice league stuff since though it is as stated "canon Adjacent". The timeframe for volume 7 to 9 with them stating it's been weeks since then would correlate to the actual time on remnant I would assume. Unless Weiss is mixing herself in this regard to her own time frame in which they themselves have spent in Vacuo. Volume 5 is also odd as the frame of time is differed by Ghira mentioning 3 months and Ozma mentioning 2 before the start of the semester. Volume 6 also carries a time variant with Cinder vs the rest of team Rwby during the mention of time on the news and her wait to get info from lil miss.

How long does it take to make a story into a fairytale? Jaune was there long enough for Luis to write The Ever After story get it published and have it become among the grate fairytales past down at least one generation. From Summer to Ruby and Yang. Not sure 20 years is long enough for that. But I guess it is possible.

Not sure if you now this but meils said in a cameo about Oscar that it's been 8 months since he left home So it's been 8 months since they were in Mistral from Atlas and now vacuo So I guess the theory that the merge takes a year to complete is true 😅 As for how long Rwby j where in the ever after I would like to think for them let's start from Volume 7 where they were at the dinner party to that same night where they were fighting ground and mantle and then trying to take people up to Atlas then ironwood getting back to his office that same night finding the black chest piece to send her trying to get the maiden powers and Penny becoming the maiden that was all one night then volume eight takes place over 3 days as we were told and after that Rwby j were in the ever after So for 3 or 4 nights in 3 days they were dealing with everything and Atlas in the fall of Atlas then they ended up in the ever after for what seemed like maybe two or I'll say 3 days and I believe in remnant those two or three days equal to about possibly considering that we saw at the end of volume nine that animated arena was finally in vacuo and it looked like it had been rebuilt to be a battleship and considering they probably have to go to some other Atlas stations that were possibly still active outside of Atlas that they had other scientists probably stationed at I would probably say 6 months have passed

Now I'm looking forward to next April 1st if we're gonna keep getting this great/amazing content each year. Kinda wish you continued this story more throughout the year. I noticed a change from last year's though, is Jaune not gonna be using Amplification much in this? OFA is great and all, and pairs incredibly well with it, but it's still an awesome power of its own. Worse injuries? Amp up Recovery Girl and watch the magic happen. And seeing as OFA is a stockpiling Quirk capable of enhancing the Quirks it piles, his own Amplification would also be super boosted which makes me wonder if it could be comparable to that Amp Helmet from the Two Heroes movie, or if it could reach that level in the future... In any case, thanks for the fun watch/listen.

Him being a leader of the "support" team was him still being the support. It's going to be interesting now that he has years of mental battle in his young age, what others will think about him

Its impossible They just wants fandom wants like They didn't respect monty storyline They add bunch of useless things in the story like gayshts couple Monty never aim RWBY to be that kind of thing Its just friendships And the theme of the show is normal not being like a feminists kind of show But the one handling it is making them do outside of monty many plans for the story

I think time just works differently in the Ever After. Like at the end of the volume, the creator or the tree or whoever that was gives them a gateway not to where, but when they're needed in Remnant. The Ever After is a whimsical place with no set logic- or at least none that's easily observable. It's paradoxical. Jaune has probably experienced 10-20 additional years of his physical- but not necessarily mental/emotional- life, but time does not flow the same way in the Ever After as it does in Remnant. Perhaps not even linearly.

Thank you! THANK YOU!! Excellent work, Joe! This was an amazing What If. I'm always fascinated with What If stories. I've always wondered what would happen if Jaune did save Penny. The tension can still work. Jaune can still feel haunted at the prospect of killing Penny and was ready to do it if he hadn't remembered Pyrrha's mom's words. It made not be as painful as actually doing it but still. Ruby can even feel regret about it too. I liked the comparisons you made of Ruby and Ren's situations. Especially with how Jaune relates to them. However, I think it would also work if Penny had fallen with with them. Penny needs this journey, too. Because it would help her learn to make rational choices. All this time the reason she lost the Relic and nearly got killed was because she wouldn't listen to her loved ones and she kept blaming herself for the things that were far beyond her control. What happened to Winter wasn't her fault. If she didn't take the Maiden powers, Winter would've been killed, Cinder would've taken the power, stole the Relic and Atlas would fall. She had every right to worry but not obligated to give the villains what they wanted. From being framed for murder, being gaslighted and getting hacked, she decided to make her own choices to correct her mistake by any means necessary. Meaning if she had to sacrifice herself to do it, so be it. That's why her friends and father tried to reign her in from doing anything drastic. Dying isn't cool. She didn't think about how it would affect their hearts. By not listening to her friends in going through the portal, she lost her life and the Relic. She did exactly what Cinder wanted her to do. Thus, the journey in Ever After will help teach her a lesson in decision making, failure and to choose wisely. Emphasis on "choose wisely". Plus, letting negative feelings like failure, guilt, insecurities and self-doubt drive your actions can affect the outcomes of your choices. Ruby's dilemma in V9 almost mirrors Penny's. Except Ruby succeeded where Penny failed. Plus, what I like in this is that Ruby does make an effort to hide her pain from the others instead of sitting around and expecting them to notice. Finally, I wish this story ended with Ruby and Jaune returning home after the latter came of his cocoon.
