I enjoyed it for the most part, I didn't catch the Jaune and Pyrrah comparison til you pointed it out, honestly this book makes me excited about V9 because some of Neo's interests that are outside of crime are very similar to Ruby... they both enjoy video games, cookies, and fairy tales also similar to Weiss in some ways. I'm really looking forward to how she interacts with all of them.

Thanks! BTW did you catch the name of the girl who fell through the world? It's Alex... Neo mentions how she felt like Alex falling through the world when she jumped out the window of her burning bedroom while holding onto her parasol.

@@thebhatman8102 I did in fact! Probably a reference to "Alice" from Alice in Wonderland. I'm interested to see if these references to the Girl who fell through the world (both in this book and volume 8) will mean something for volume 9. I mean, aside from our heroes falling to another world, haha

In case you're wondering, yes, I did reuse my intro audio for both of my reviews, lol. That's what I call efficiency.
Also I accidentally combined revenge and vengeance because I couldn't decide which I was gonna say, so I hope Neo and Jaune enjoy their revengeance.

I mean...if the book's content is that fun and crucial to understanding Neo and Roman....well I keep saying it but they do a poor job understanding what "supplemental material" mean.

I thought about how similar jaune and Torchwick are, my guess is that's how jaune could bring neo on their side

Why do you describe early RWBY as having a "Goofier tone"? Yes, it had a lot of gags, but it knew when and where to do them. Meanwhile the later volumes, especially volumes 7 & 8 will just haphazardly slap jokes right in the middle of serious scenes. Also having Malachite's gang's name literally just be "The Spiders" was silly beyond belief, it was so ridiculous that legit, even just giving them no name would've been a better alternative, it could've even better emphasized their reputation if just their emblem was all one needed to know they're in trouble.
