Welcome to my TH-cam channel. This channel is a one man operation in the state of Michigan, USA. Beginning in 2015, I've made videos about the cars I mess around with on a regular basis. I make tutorials on how to do repairs, modifications, and various other car-related things. The cars featured are primarily old GM ones such as F-Body Firebirds, Camaros, and maybe even some old Buicks and trucks from time to time.

If I can't get a decent 2010 Avalon then I will up the Park ave roads Living in a busy city is a really a pain in the ass to park and just move around in general But otherwise I had quite a few buicks before and my uncle always called them the poor man's Cadillac in a good way.
Does this have headers? Or just that magnaflow part number you listed below?

I have a 92 and I’ve been looking for exhausts for a while but haven’t found anything remotely close to what I want. This, this sounds perfect!
So you bought it with 110,000 miles ? Any timing chain issues?
@@keithhernandez4319 got it with roughly 107k in 2020. Has over 130k now in 2024. Gave it to my grandpa, whom is driving it now. Has some fuel injector wiring issues causing a misfire, but that has been resolved. No timing chain issues yet.
@@CaptainThirdGen well I was told that the early fifth gins had that timing chain issue more than the 2012 through 2015 V6 Camaros I had a 2013 last year for seven months and it ran great and it had 107,000 when it got totaled so I’ve been looking for another fifth GEN Camaro but I wasn’t even considering a 2010 or a 2011 because of the timing chain issue was told they had
@@keithhernandez4319 the LLT (2010-11 for camaros) is worse for timing chain issues than the LFX (12-15) and LGX (16-24). However, my family has had several LLTs, in camaros and other vehicles, and have yet to have a timing chain failure. Changing the oil, and keeping it full is key. Change oil every 3-4k miles with full synthetic, and keep it full in between changes, and the 3.6 are pretty decent engines. But when those chains do fail, its a big expensive job to fix.
You do realize that the car is 35 years old!!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,if you like you like it,if you don't you don't.

Jus changed mine on a 97 Buick lesabre you save me time trying figure out what size bolt goes in there THANK YOU

Just bought my first one today and looking up all the ppl that love me im super happy with my purchase
I have an 02 Trans-Am WS6 with 45k in pristine condition. The only issue I have is the power antenna doesn't work. I can hear the motor working but it doesn't extend. Rather than that I love it.
mine have done the same. Ive just disconnected the antenna motor connector. antenna still works, just has shorter range since it stays in the down position
Sounds great ❤❤❤
Where did you purchase both lights or do you have model number for both lights
amazon. very cheap. About 10 bucks per pair when I did this.
What size is halo ring on both lights in inches
When wiring, do you put the positive halo wire on the brown or blue wire? 1:28
My CD changer in the trunk didn't work when I got the car. Took it to a shop that works on older stereo systems. They sent it to a repair facility in New York. It was sent back and I was told no parts available it's Obsolete.
I have a 92 Roadmaster 5.7ltr rear wheel drive, body straight clear coat peeling and white paint is faded. Interior are in good no cracking on the dash. It starts and runs good. Drove it to Home depot about 5miles away. Shut it off and when I went to start it it wouldn't start. Let it sit overnight and it starts just fine. Any suggestions any videos on the older Roadmasters. It's 31 years old and I want to use it while I pull the tranny out of my 2003 Buick Park Avenue Ultra. My Ultra has 200k miles and has been very comfortable and reliable. Plus easy to work on, which I enjoy doing my own maintenance. I spent 23 yrs in the AF worked on turbine and diesel engine driven Generators and compressors, Hydraulic test stands, and other equipment to support the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Falcon. I don't have a lot of experience on Gasoline engines.

Y87 never came in a 5-speed manual. It's essentially the Formula package for the V6, and only came with the 4L60E. Check your RPO code for Y87
this car does have the Y87 code. It was definitely offered with the 5spd. may want to check your sources on that one
The coolest thing about these is it is considered an old mans car. Which means few people really desire them. This translates directly into CHEAP. It also means the previous owner was an old man.
all that and you have to pull the fender liners out occasionally and cleean out the collected crap or your fenders and rocker panels WILL rot out. In particular if it is a Lucerne.
Bro said Mexico but the trees are dead😂😂😂
Where did you exactly get the power steering cooler from? I've seen some for much more and was more interested in yours instead
was a universal amazon unit. is still holding up well
Lo que menos me gusta es que no tengo un trans am 😢
The guy that decided to put the weakest door handles on a heavy door obviously doesn't drive Buick vehicles
People make fun of them, but everyone who has one loves it. They only stopped making it because the profit margin wasn't as high with so many unique parts. They figured all the customers who bought the Avalanche would move on to the crew cab Silverado. And they were mostly right (except for those of us who kept ours...)
The weak point of these is the unibody frame rusting out
Not to mention the insurace cost for everyone !
Y87 package never came with a 5-speed...
you would be incorrect, because 5spd cars were certainly able to be optioned with Y87, as this car was
Really boss ride, brother!
thanks! been doing a lot of work to it lately. Have been meaning to get more videos of it up
Man I'd swear this is the car I bought lol, right down to no emblems/badging
I sold the car in Northern Michigan last summer to a guy whose name I forget
@@CaptainThirdGen I just hauled mine back from southern Wisconsin about a month ago. 155k miles so seemed close enough to line up with yours but people I got mine from said they had owned it around 10 years and it sat most of it. Mine's a digital dash car, was yours?
@@Bbdrew no, mine was regular gauges. sold with 123k thereabouts
@@CaptainThirdGen well i supposed that confirms it isnt. I just bought mine on a whim for 4k for a fair weather cruiser and after realizing how rare the maui blue TA's were vs formulas I figured there was a good chance it was the same one.

If the HORN fuse ever blows, its a 45min job to change it out. Its located in an auxilliary fuse block behind the warning light/switch panel.
very interesting. I just took that all apart to do a steering wheel swap and a new turn signal flasher to accomodate my new LED turn signals.
Love this car. Got an 03 ultra for 1800$ with practically no problems. Put a lot of love and care into it. Most folk dont realize how special and even rare these cars are now. Some acura owner said he could buy 5 for the price of his 2014 tl 😂 shit sold for less msrp lol.
Since you didn't show it, the rear shock comes up through the body right at the little hinge the rear seats hook onto. The carpet should be perforated to allow you to cut a peephole into it to remove the shock absorbers, no problem.
yep, when I replaced these shocks again I cut the holes in the carpet. Much easier
The L98 is such an underrated engine. So much torque and it’s nearly bulletproof as well. Love these cars.
i agree. Its a lot more fun than the hp suggests
Still drive my 2000 lesabre just need a flex pipe and motor mount
Dogshit slow...
Just tried mcbay performance off this recommendation for rear coil spacers. Now this video is a couple years old so they may have been ok back then but today, that place reeks of incompetence and all they have are really REALLY bad excuses to try to cover it up. Kind of a comical experience. Like dealing with children. But I'd recommend staying away from em. I went to strano performance. Way better and much more educated on there products than the mcbay clowns Update: i got the spacers. They came in before my strano spacers so i figured give em a try and.............THEY WEREN'T EVEN THE RIGHT PART!!!! And to put the cherry on the whole terrible experience they won't even take it back. Not even these clowns want their own trash products! 😂 The incompetence has no limit with this circus 😂 Absolutely terrible company with worse service. Will never be doing any business again with them thru my shop
thats unfortunate. I recently installed their 2nd gen lift kit on my dads 1979 Camaro it worked well
thats unfortunate. I recently installed their lift kit on my dads 1979 Camaro and it worked well
You still have it, uodate??? 😀
yep, still got it. Just had it out a couple weeks ago. Still running great
@@CaptainThirdGen cool, I bought a 2001 camaro SS back in Nov 2021, trans oil pump went out in Nov 2022, sent the trans to a trans shop for most of the upgrades from sonnax and a bullet circle d flexplate. Also did the entire suspension from bmr and the K-member and longtube headers. Now I'm saving up for 3.73 gears.
even stealth mode is louder then any modern german sports car with open valves
just about. Most mercedes with valved exhausts are similar to this with valves closed. Some M177 mercedes are pretty decent with valves open, but not nearly as dramatic as this LT1 is
@@CaptainThirdGen Im not sure how much differeance there is between EU cars and US, but in Germany, most cars since 2018 have a petrol particulate filter, which completely dampens the sound of the engines. Removing it is illegal.
@@alperen194 GPF's are not common in the US yet. Some cars have them but not many. We are working on rolling them out for 2027 for a lot of cars of various brands here in the US. I work in the emissions/OBD sector.
@@CaptainThirdGen It's such a stupid thing... That's why I'm looking for a Camaro or Charger with a 6.2 V8. Most of the muscle cars from dodge and chevrolet are directly imported and do not need any crazy modifications to be road legal here. They are a lot cheaper compared to similar spec BMW or Mercedes models. But the only downside is that the emission taxes are extremely high on US cars, and since fuel is very expensive here, it's also not cheap to drive around with an engine that has like twice the amount of fuel consumption, compared to an car like the BMW M4 haha.
@@alperen194 understandable. My Camaro does about 27-28mpg on the highway. About 20mpg in the city. Which for a US car is pretty good. My truck gets about 11mpg, so the LT1 feels pretty efficient in comparison
Should i buy a 2010 RS with 159.000 Kilometers? The Condition is good
How much power is it putting down?
have not dynoed it since it was stock. Stock was 178whp. Id estimate this is in the 200whp range now
