Welcome to my TH-cam channel. This channel is a one man operation in the state of Michigan, USA. Beginning in 2015, I've made videos about the cars I mess around with on a regular basis. I make tutorials on how to do repairs, modifications, and various other car-related things. The cars featured are primarily old GM ones such as F-Body Firebirds, Camaros, and maybe even some old Buicks and trucks from time to time.

I had no idea that the miles of a car could be changed...how did you find that out?
@@edarnold1647 odometer is stored in the cluster. If cluster is changed, the miles can be too. There are companies that can reprogram them to your vehicles correct mileage when you replace the cluster though. So thats possible. a local company charges $85 to set your new cluster to the mileage of your old one
My 2000 firebird conv. Headlight nylon gears stripped , so i purchased solid billet brass gears and have had no problems since, another problem is the front fog light and blinkers , they get water in them and short out . I had this happen a dozen times in 25yrs ,even after sealing bulb housing and using thicker gaskets on sockets , but still water gets in . Very expensive fix for top shelf bulbs and sockets and housings that melt . Rear lights unevenly darkening , i used a polishing small attachment on my drill and cleaned and polished the inside of light through bulb holes. Also the moonsoon radios volume control doesnt work correctly. , the sun visors break very easy because there are no 2 contect points like most cars these only have the 1 contact point so if you are not carefull they will bend in half and start to droop . I always have a power window motor in reserve parts stash . But i love my 4th gen . Riding the gulf coast 😎 of florida beachs ⛱️ with the top down
what is with the smoke. Its not supposed to be smoking like that.
Stop complaining its , a Nice Buick !!!!!
I bought a small battery operated ratchet and use that to remove and replace the targa tops. Don’t use the hand ratchet. This much faster and easier.
I have a 2000 Park Avenue Ultra, but with the tire pressure message on the dash, you can get rid of the message from popping up all the time by simply resting it by pressing the reset button gor like 5 seconds or so and it set it back to "normal" nine of my rims don't even have the sensor valves and this reset method still works to get rid of that annoying message on the dash
would you happen to have the exact model name and/or a link to where i can get this system for my 97 TA
Did you lower this car at all or is this stock ride height?
@@MeatTenderizer23 all stock suspension setup
@CaptainThirdGen The wheel gap really isn't bad considering it's all stock
I have wanted one of these since they first came out! Everyone else i knew dogged their looks, but i love it so much and think it looks sporty and makes so much sense to have the plastic in places that typically attract rust over the years. Its brilliant. And the fact you can put the back seat tucked away and take the window out and expand the bed length is an epic design. Im looking to buy a 2002 z71 4x4 soon and its the same blue one as in this video. This video just sealed the deal for me on just "another reason i love this truck"😂!
Please change the tires it’s so dangerous
That color is crazy 🦋
For the headlight motor gears, Amazon has copper ones for pretty cheap, they last a bit longer than usual🫡
what kind of wheels are those?

Did you tune it thinking about doing a cam swap on my son’s firebird
@@Namhcal88 had a pcm from intense tuned and shipped to me with the cam kit. has ran well for me
How is that tick adjustable master cylinder? Still yet to put mine on.
@@Flex_Mayo i have 2, 1 on LS1 and 1 on V6 car. Both have been rock solid and dead consistent. The one on the TA has about 10k miles on it over the past 4 years or so. Never an issue Firms the pedal up a tad over stock, gives great clutch feel
@CaptainThirdGen did you have a shop install it, or do it yourself?
@@Flex_Mayo had a local speed shop do it, as I did not have a transmission jack at the time.
@CaptainThirdGen that's my plans when I get a new clutch.
What clutch do you have
@@Flex_Mayo LUK ls6 clutch. i cant recall the part # off the top of my head. 413 maybe? 314? 905 is the LUK LS7 clutch, i do not have that one
@CaptainThirdGen I was thinking either the ls6 clutch or the monster clutch rated for stock to 550hp.
@@Flex_Mayo this LS6 clutch has been great to me. it was dirt cheap and has maybe 10k miles on it now. hasnt skipped a beat. just as easy to drive as stock, no noise or anything. A nice kit for the money. Anything over 450hp or so, id go LS7, or something more extreme Stay away from the ceramic puck style clutches. I put one in my V6 track car and it was a bear until it broke in. Now its tolerable, but not ideal. Organic friction material is nice. Live and learn i guess
@CaptainThirdGen thanks dude. I really appreciate the advice
@CaptainThirdGen did you change your flywheel?
Like it what about rear end lift worth every penny
It's cool like mine got up date I new that but don't like rear end tho
looking into doing the same thing i’m just wondering where you got the kit from?
intense racing. I believe they are closing up shop soon, if not already unfortunately
Does anybody know why I have to stump the gas to get my car up a certain mph but it cuts out at 50 or 60mph unless like I really stump it then go up to about 70 or 80mph but when I'm cruising car getting stuck at 30 or 40mph

I nearly broke my neck this summer: hit a dip in the highway, didn’t see it coming and smacked my head on the targa top glass. Man, I thought I was lucky to to be knocked unconscious or to have snapped my neck. Still my favourite car. I have to update the sound system…last owner did something strange and it sounds awful. Oh well…

How does an Ultra not have keyless entry? That is wild. I was surprised I didn't blow the transmission on my '02 GTP.
@@reintgenrc it did. i had to go through a few different key fobs until i found some that would eventually pair with the car. Took quite a while
Dude showed the tutorial after he did it…makes no sense
A monte carlo is better buy if want sporty reliable 3.8L or 5.3L and easier work on than firebird. There are more monte carlos out there, so more parts in junk yard, the engine is easier to access, and have backseat, a trunk, and front wheel drive to drive year round.
I love GMT800 platforms, I have Silverados, Yukons, Tahoes, and a Z71 Avalanche
What rail caps are those?
@@MikeFordfusionsport18 bushwackers. theyve aged well. have been on the truck for about 7 years now
Hi, being as though you have experience with both cars, I have a question for you. How would you rate the cabin noise on the C4 Corvette's and 4th Gen Trans ams, both between each other, and also in comparison to other ordinary vehicles? Reason I ask is I'm shopping for one of these, but I'm quite sensitive to highway noise (it drives me nuts) so I'm curious as to how these cars perform in that regard. Thanks.
@@SaltMakerE c4s are louder inside than 4th gens. Both are significantly louder inside than regular cars

I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to drive this fantastic vehicle before its untimely departure from the fleet. Godspeed Buick.

@@CaptainThirdGen Truly one of the moments of all time.
Yes but no.
Captain Third Gen - “The V8 cars, personally, unless you can get it for a reasonable price, I’m talking like under $10,000, I wouldn’t recommend it. Me - “IM AN F BODY GUY. I’M A DIE HARD F BODY GUY. I GOTTA HAVE THE NICEST F BODY IMAGINABLE”
understandable
I know this gen Park Avenue requires A LOT of repairs and extreme maintenance. But I won't part with them. The Ultra is worth the aggravation. Plus, you can transplant the LS9 from the Impala SS and not have to fret over the transmission as the Impala unit has a much larger torque capacity rating
I bought a 97 Buick regal in 2024 running great
Do you have any heifers in there is a good heifer hauler?
I cannot really see from your video is your red wire from halo going into the brown or blue wire on turn signal pigtail? I'm assuming the black is tied into black ground on the pigtail.
There might be a blockage in the plumbing along with your leak.
The transmission in the 06 Impala SS willw9rk well here
The Lesabre reas suspension should fit under your car's rear
The rear panel shelf rusts put completely.
saw the thumbnail and was gonna say thats not an 89

I had to go back to looking at one of the first cars I owned as a 20 yr old. I was able to save and buy 89 Trans Am GTA but I still love that body style. Theirs a WS6 with kooks long tube headers and a Magnaflow cat back , 60k original miles Car looks to be in beautiful shape, T-roofs, One owner. I’ve got to go check it out. Sounds killer ! I miss these cars

I’m 19 and i weight about 130 kg and i’m 6’4… im obsessed with the c4 hope i can fit in one.
I just put a racing seat in mine to lower and push it back. Well worth it for the slight comfort sacrifice.
