      v6 got a race clutch and all new hydraulics, then the fuel pump crapped out. So thats my next project

    How this and a few other videos got by me without being notified it's beyond me lol. Not to bad. I'm curious after you get it tuned, as to how much better you actually like it, and if you felt it was worth it without having boost. I've got a huge update video on mine I'm putting out here real soon within the next week. Everything is changed again lol.

    • @CaptainThirdGen
      @CaptainThirdGen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the car is running the supplied intense pre tuned ECM. It ran a lot smoother after that.
      Ive been meaning to make update videos as ive made a lot more changes to the car in the last 3 months. Life got in the way. graduating college, changing jobs, etc etc
      Car pulls significantly harder with the cam swap. Was it worth the time/effort? hard to say. Depends on what your goal is
      I use the car as a road course car, so the added high rpm pull was specifically appealing to me. Car will see its first track day post-cam swap this monday. We will see how she holds up
      The car dynoed 178whp bone stock, 182 with the whisper lid.
      Seat of the pants? Id say it feels like it picked up a good 30-40hp. Wont know for sure until I have another dyno session. Was waiting for that until I had my final exhaust setup, which is realistically about a year out from now.
      Car trapped 91mph 1/4mile stock engine,, with 17x9 wheels. Ill try to get another trap speed data point now that the cars on the road again. Spent the last month fighting fuel system wiring issues.

      @@CaptainThirdGen I'll look forward to the Dyno video with this cam. I'm running an S1X blower cam in mine. I did the time consuming modifications for the M90 top swap. The S1X NA cam has a bit more valve overlap than the S1X Blower cam does. I'm hoping to get on the dyno June 9th. Fingers crossed 🤞.
      Are you into autocross? I've been very interested in getting involved in that. Chatted with a few autocross groups in my area. I did focus a lot of work into the suspension, wheels and tires. With the supercharger I've got tons of bottom end power which should be a great combo when running around in 2nd and 3rd gear most of the time in tight autocross courses. She flat hooks up when spirited driving out in my country roads. Sway bars and tires did most of that, but the new shocks and springs certainly didn't hurt either lol.

      @CaptainThirdGen  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@boosted0079 I have not autocrossed yet, but likely will in the future.
      I have done significant changes to my suspension and braking. As well as a fixed back racing seat bolted to the floor on a bracket I modified myself. I generally do open track days, but autocrossing is generally cheaper so likely will start doing that as a side thing maybe next season.

      @@boosted0079 What I can recommend, is build yourself a power steering cooler. I used a cheap trans cooler from amazon, about $15. secured under the car. Just plumb it into the return hose of the PS pump. Super cheap and easy. about doubles or triples your fluid volume, and is effective in cooling your PS fluid. Autocross this would be a MUST DO. Even on the road course, on stock setup I was boiling fluid after only a few laps

    • @CaptainThirdGen
      @CaptainThirdGen  ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah, when it was warm it chops pretty nicely. Hopefully it still sounds nice when the exhaust is sealed up better

    Wow sounds good man. I wish I could do something like this but heck no one seems to be able to figure out why mine keeps throwing codes for too rich bank 1 and 2 and that causes multiple misfire codes. Only when it gets cold out. Otherwise it starts and runs great.

    • @CaptainThirdGen
      @CaptainThirdGen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      could be o2 sensor issues, maybe a bad coil or ICM as well. Usually multiple misfires is a bad ICM
