    I grew up around Long, Findon, Sawpit, October and September Creeks. Used to go for bush walks everywhere there when I was younger. Some logging tracks but mostly like you guys did there, I would just start walking in a direction and see where I got to and turn back for home when time ran out.

    Damn that track in has gone to shit, we used to ride motorbikes into there back in the early 80's. But that has happened to most of the places that national parks took over from forestry around here. Kudos to anyone who can walk though lantana with bare legs...

      Hi, there's a "Bohgaban Falls" map on Alltrails

  • @SMarkGee
    @SMarkGee 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    so if you do a full climb you cant take advantage of the downhill speed to gain free altitude from it. with this method you gain say 50 m and translate that to speed which gives you, say, 10m up the other side yo uthen have to pedal 40m. so you save maybe 10% per 100m vertical plus get the benefit of recovery between reps but the downside must be extra time

    • @tofuhiker
      @tofuhiker 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pretty sums it up except it doesn't take extra time as fatigue slows you down for a full climb vs recovery and repeat.

    One year Later: I had almost given up hope on Biking after suffering several injuries after a road bike crash with a concussion and some broken ribs. I slowly returned to all activities over the summer concentrating on events. I had pretty much forgotten about the Tron Bike until one day about 2 week’s ago, out of curiosity, I checked where I was on the Everest Challenge and found out I was only about 8500 meters from completion. I got pretty excited about that and started doing the dumb stuff again like Alp du Zwift because I couldn’t remember where I had seen this video before. Tonight, I sat down and just hunted for you my friend because I knew your way would get me to my goal within the next week or so. I found the video tonight just before starting the 2024 Tour De Zwift tonight. I’ll be doing both running and cycling but I will also be making sure that I grind out this last remaining 6000 meters using your method as I really want that concept bike speed and efficiency.
