Mount Barney Skyline - direct route up Eagles Ridge

Arguably the most demanding and gruelling hike in SEQ. Please do your due diligence before attempting this hike and pick a cooler day ideally less than 30 degrees. Apologies for all the cursing as there was no faking the suffering that occur on this day.

Thanks, it would of been less grueling if it was a tad bit cooler. Barney in Winter is also unbearable as well lol.. so the best time to climb Barney is a cool weekend in Spring.

yes, you can do the whole route without rope, just keep left and find a way down then try to regain the elevation afterwards.
