I liked 300 and Watchmen quite a bit, but I had zero expectations going into both of them because I wasnt married to the source material like a lot of fans were. Justice League and all associated Snyder detritus was a different story however. Like you I love the idea of an aspirational Superman that inspires people and gives them hope for something better (kinda like the original STAR WARS) and that was really born from my love of the JLU and other Timmverse shows. When they announced Snyder was helming the entire DCU I knew instantly it was going to be awful given his track record and his seemingly insurmountable need to make everything he touches grim dark. I hope, I sincerely honestly hope, that Gunn leans more into the JLU/STAS/Timmverse realm for inspiration for this new DCU because its all right there and perfect for the mining. The sad thing is, even if Gunn shits the bed (which I dont think he will) WB has what is basically a bottomless bank account and will continue to make terrible shit because a board room of dickhead hedge funds assholes are the ones making the call on what gets funded and what doesnt. They dont care about the property as long as they can sell it in foreign markets and try and make money off of it. Gunn being the studio head gives me hope because he has a good track record, but WB doesnt really care about the integrity of the art so theres always going to be that battle between the two sides and thats always going to create problems.

I could Ultraman being bigger because Lex wanted the clone to stronger than Supes and messed with his DNA. Which probably leads to Ultraman's breakdown into Bizarro.

I'll say this. Jurassic World 4 comes out before this new Superman movie. If this new Superman movie doesn't crush, or at least deceivly beat JW4, then this movie will be in big trouble. Moreso considering how it has a $300 budget.

Lois and Clark was a fun show but Dean Cain did not represent Clark Kent or Superman right his eyes were Brown and he wasn't 6 ft tall Superman's supposed to have blue eyes and 6 ft 4 and the Superman Crest on his chest was way too big

The Power of One… The Power of Two…. the Power of FAILUUUUURE! XD

Remember when sitcoms and sci-fi TV shows like Stargate and Farscape all got 20+ episodes? Remember how hard the creators always had to work to act in, direct and write and film a decent, entertaining story, for television? Can you imagine what Game of Thrones might have been in those days, putting in the work to get a long 20 episode story arc for each and every season? Sure, you end up with a lot of filler, but also character development, and depth. When did it all become short 8 or 10 episode seasons, where they give any old garbage the greenlight, and still struggle to write anything substantial to fill the runtime for a single episode of this aimless nonsense? I don't know why they didn't just follow the story of Osha's training at the temple, going on adventures across Coruscant with her fellow padawans as she clashes with the strict dogma of the Jedi Order; this should have been easy, a slam dunk. Then BAM, out of nowhere, obe if the Jedi masters we've actually spent time with turns up dead, assassinated towards the end of the season, then building up rapidly to a climactic confrontation with the assassin, where all the characters we got to know and become attached to quickly find themselves way out of their depth. I mean, we can see that's essentially what they tried to do, but they couldn't pull it off because they got bogged down by their agenda, some throwaway line on diversity politics, and the "parent trap" gimmick of this vanity project from Mrs Leslye "inspired by the love between the sisters in Frozen" Headland. I still cannot fathom how they messed it up. I wouldn't have, and I'm not a film maker; but maybe I should be.

All logoc says this show will be cancelled...but then again all logic said this show should never have been heard as a pitch due to the block out on such things at the time. All logic would also suggest kk should have been fired a long long time ago. So yeah there should be no season 2 but who knows maybe lucas film will find a way to give us the power of 1, the power of 2, the power of many seasons

I think that accolyte might get season 2 just because of spite. Or if the show REALLY is done after one season.. Leslie will be added to some other project..maybe Disney uses sarkerseans "help" on some other project that is pretty much a huge "FU" to old school fans

Politics and politicking have dominated upper management in most industries for years (some to a lesser degree than other obviously) This is mostly to the detriment of said industries. But politicking in Hollywood is now solely dominated by a usually extremely poor understanding of critical theory, it starts poor at universities and is then further disseminated by idiots who get jobs in these "who you know" job opportunities. Its a sad day for creativity when your only qualification for director is a frankly awful understanding of queer theory and an artistic interpretation that belongs stuck to a fridge.

Yeah, when I hear Lana Lang, I think of Superman 3. Which I feel she was one of the better parts of that movie, so I have better memories of that character. As for the budget cuts, when I hear that, I think of Vince McMahon laying off tons of wrestlers, so not so good memories of that. I've heard good things about this show, but not seen it. However, if only reason they're canceling it is because of the new movie, WB is taking the name "Last Son of Krypton" too literally. Anyways, enjoyed the videos today. Thank you.

I probably would have given this a 2.0 mainly because much like the Star Wars Holiday Special, I think this could be watchable if you have Mike, Bill, and Kevin providing the RiffTrax. I know many of the reviews from both you and SnarkyJay riffing on it has been fun. That's the only thing about it I'll even miss because that's the only good thing to come out from this.

I'm totally with you. Glad they got a fourth season to resolve that season three cliffhanger. And I'm glad they trimmed down the cast. With John Henry and his daughter added, the side-stories were just becoming too numerous, taking up too much time. Only objection? "Lana Lang," for me, brings to mind Annette O'Toole. RAWR...
