Thank you. Usually, once those windows scratch, that's it. So replacing maybe an option, but sometimes it's best to leave them alone if the replacing is going to cause more damage.

The price sticker is part of the history of the item so is often maintained, however, I do sometimes remove stickers if they're damaged or unsightly

There are several techniques - depending on how bad the corrosion is etc. I can't suggest anything specific, but you can search for baking soda, white vinegar, isopropyl alcohol for cleaning corrosion and see if one may work for you. If you do try anything, take care and be safe with it 👍

By applying a lot of heat - either via a hairdryer or low heat gun, or by dipping into hot water. Requires patience, and of course there are no guarantees, so damage is always possible.

I did visit a vintage store in Stockholm a few years back 👍

@VintageToyRush I live 1hr away from Umeå near Vindeln in Vasterbotten. I shall keep an eye out for sizeable retro toy fairs and shops in Sweden and give you a heads up. I have relatives in Stockholm; so I will be visiting. The Swedes are big into the reuse/recycle and as such their charity shop chains can be fruitful BUT some are aware of retro value and put items for sale online. I hope we get a Swedish adventure!

My understanding is that The Intruder was introduced by GI Joe for their Adventure Team as an enemy from space, cause space was all the rage then :) He had silver armour then. After Adventure Team, Hasbro released a new line called Super Joe, a 9 inch line which introduced Terron... The Beast from Beyond - another character Gor was the king of the Terrons. Palitoy licensed The Intruder and Terron for Action Man, renaming Terron to Gargon and pairing the two. I don't think Intruder was specifically designed for Gargon, it was more likely creative flair from Palitoy :)

@ I knew he was Adventure Team. I just figured they would most likely have gone down the Takara / Henshin Cyborg route and recoloured an existing figure to make a villain (also like Zargon Space Pirate). Intruder has no real similarities to GI Joe in terms of articulation and scale, that’s what made me wonder if they salvaged him from another line 🤔 Also, not sure how they thought a Caveman in a gladiatorial leotard suggested outer space! 🤣 very bizarre, and massively awesome

@ I restored a Super Joe Luminos figure many years ago, cracked him apart along his seams, and replaced his joints with crudely-modelled styrene replacements. Took ages. The I saw a tutorial where they used elastic and it took 5 minutes 🤣

@@cloudvectors Interesting I have a Darkon in bits which I've wanted to restore - had thought about 3d printing the connectors, although I don't know what they look like and as you have done, would likely need to crack him open. Do you remember where you saw the elastic tutorial video?

@ Let me have a dig around. Although 3D printing something durable might take it closer to the original look. Also, youu wouldn’t see the elastic through Darkons body. There used to be a few people offering renovations. Probably in the US though

@ yea you should check out the great Ohio toy show. I’ve never been but the videos look insane with how massive it is. Problem is you have to hang out in Ohio which is… uninteresting to say the least lol

Fantastic you have your childhood figure! I've been enjoying collecting the line - wish they'd done more back in the day. The carded versions are expensive here, so am happy with repro card backs for now 👍

Yeah there were quite a few graded loose figures at this show. At the time, I wasn't even sure which Black Hole figure that was, as I'd never seen one before 😎
