Cheers Mike!! 🤘 Maybe one day I'll get over the idea of spending ages in a plane and the fear of spiders, and head to Aus to meet you all down under!! 😎 We had a great time in Birmingham! Actually isn't there a Birmingham in Aus??? 🤣
Appreciate the content. I enjoyed the show, picked up a couple of toybiz X-Men pieces I was missing, and a lovely condition d&d strong heart and destrier ❤️
Cheers Dave! I did laugh when you were on the video call with Nick while at the hotel! It reminded me of Sheldon's virtual presence device from Big Bang as you were being passed around 🤣
Love these NEC videos and even more because we where all there sharing the experience. AgainI see so much toys I've missed. Really enjoyed this. Cheers mate. Our paths will cross again👍😎😉
It was a pleasure finally meeting you Dave and your wife Camilla! And thank you again for the drive to Acme Toys in Erdington! It was totally unexpected and a fantastic experience! Looking forward to meeting up with you and all the guys and girls again in the not too distant future!
It was amazing to put a face to Biker Scout!! We really enjoyed our chat over dinner and listening to your stories. Acme was certainly fun! Let's do it again soon 👍
Great video David! I'm so jealous! Looks like you all had a great time at NEC! Great pickups my friend and I can't wait for your Galaxy Rangers restoration video!!
Cheers Shabby!! 🤘 Kept thinking how amazing it would be to have the US crew there too! Can't wait to start the Rangers restoration but my 3d printer has been recalled, so waiting for a replacement!!! 🤘
Thanks Scott!! 👍 Great to meet you too, although briefly. Sometimes I see stuff in my own video footage that I missed on the day 🤣 See you at Echo if you're attending!
Looks like a fun time Dave. You know what we love about your channel Dave? Its just pure vintage awesomeness!!! Acamas released the Automan figures too I believe 🤩Dont forget that there is two Daggits to find too Dave 👍 Who had that A-Team helicopter? Jason? Amazing! what a find! And the A-Team Jet super rare ❤ Another top video Dave. Good to know that even an organsised spreadsheet can fail '😄😄
Definitely the best NEC I've attended purely because of all the fun we had the night before! 👍 You know me, pure vintage... and yeah that was Jason with the A-Team helicopter. Never knew Acamas did Automan too, that's cool. A spreadsheet was never gonna win against my Gin brain that morning LOL 🤣
Cool tour of the show, thanks Dave. Trautman really bulked up there compared to Richard Crenna in the Rambo films. ;) At 1:15 in, that looks like The Other World 2 headed dragon in orange/yellow with the price tag on the right side. A bendable figures line from the mid 1980s. Cool Taurus GI Joe carded figure. Neat Slime House custom monster, and custom creatures. Roger Moore was the funniest 007 agent but a favorite too. Those Dune carded figures are expensive. I liked the 2 new Dune films. Thanks!
Thanks!! 🤘 They are bulked up LOL but when they're loaded with all their accessories they look great in pictures. Yeah, that does look like Other World, I'm seeing that line more and more - some interesting characters in there. Theo's custom looks great in person. Really wanted that Octopussy Spin Saw item but just too much money, never even knew it existed. Likewise, really enjoyed the Dune films, so now have the bug for the LJN figures 😎
@@VintageToyRush Yes, those are cool figures. Sorry the carded ones were so expensive. Reaction did put out a recent new retro line of Dune figures, though not the same as the actual retro LJN Figures. The Other World bendable line I had as a kid. The bird, two headed dragon, characters, little creatures and the castle. A lot of fun. I wish I kept the large orange yellow bird.
Looks like a great time was had 😄. You scored some amazing items Dave including the awesome Baron at the end 😮. You definitely spotted more Trautmans than Madines this time around! All the best.
Thanks Ed!! 👍 Ha, I'm the stupid guy trying to buy Dune figures while the film is out. Got a start though! True, more Trautmans than Madines, but it's Echo tomorrow so I expect the Madines to fight back harder than Rocky 🤣
Great video with very good production values. I found your channel while viewing coverage of the show which I planned to attend but work got in the way. Cheers!
Great video bud, good to meet up with you again 😂😂 can’t believe you forgot about our infamous car park deal and bought yourself another D&D dragon 🐉 🤣🤣
Bloody love your toy fare videos, even though I’m normally there too the way you film them makes me feel like I wasn’t lol, son great items and some great pick ups
Thanks!! 👍 Yeah pleased with the pickups! Pretty lucky to find one Dune figure so can't complain - trying to find them while the film is out is probably not the smartest move 🤣
Thanks! 👍 I travel from Berkshire, takes about 90 mins early morning. Definitely worth visiting once. I see you're into 3D printing. I've just got my first 3D printer and will start to learn how to do some 3D modelling. Any advice on tutorials or software to use? Cheers 🤘
@@VintageToyRush I'm that little bit further away in Bournemouth but will have to make the trip one day. I learnt how to 3D print purely from youtube there are a bunch of great tutorial videos on here and recommend The Creative Collector's channel who has a series of videos on how to print. I've only got a resin priner not FDM assume you have resin as well? I've used mesh mixer (it's free) for very basic sculpting mostly just altering pre-made designs but I'm much more about downloading STLs people much smarter than me have sculpted. If you haven't printed anything yet I recommend getting to grips with the slicer software first. I use the free version of Chitubox for that which most people use and a lot of the files you download which have been pre-supported usually use Chitubox too. Let me know if you have any questions once you get started. It can be a challenge getting to grips with it initially but once you get the hang of it the possibilities are endless. And for us collectors it's a dream come true being able to print and make your own collectibles!
The value of those Battle Beasts now 😮😮 £30 each! I had alot of the ones shown in this video, complete, in immaculate condition with correct accessories and sold 6 of them for £50 in 2022 and thought I got a great price but no I definately didn't! They were my childhood toys too, I shouldn't have parted with them. Great video and pickups Dave!
Thanks Kev! 👍 Ah, always difficult to let go of childhood toys. To be honest I'm no expert on Battle Beast values - the voice you could hear was Andy (from Andy's Toys and Models) and he knows his stuff. It does seem they are fair market values these days!!
I almost had a gold Cylon Commander but unfortunately it must have been stolen on transit from eBay to a pick-up point! I did get my money back but it was all very suspicious in my mind, plus when am I going to come across a Gold Cylon AFA 75. I do have Lucifer loose. The LJN Dune figures are cool 😎 I have them loose sans accessories. Great video and great for you to meet all the gang!
Shame to hear about the gold Cylon! That would have been lovely. Nice, you have the LJN Dune set. Not sure why I've waited so long to think they''re fantastic figures!! 👍 And yeah, it was a great time meeting everyone 😎
Great video dave happy I made your sticker but even though it’s not my user name 😂😂 fantastic day hope you enjoyed yourself and keep up the great channel 👌 Aron Rebelaz77
Hey Aron!! 🤘 Ah, sorry about that! You'll be in the next one with all the correct details 😎 Great to meet you and hopefully we can chat some GI Joe / Action Force 👍
Ohhh I’m probably not gonna film he says, everyone will be doing videos he says!😂😂 Then BOOM!!! A 24 minute video of quality goodness, and nobody saw you filming at all!!! Lol, what kind of black magic YouTubing is this!!!😂😂 Amazing to see you over the weekend man, hopefully not long until the next time, those James Bond watches are fire 👌👌👌👌
Ha ha!! Ninja video skills 🤣 Wasn't sure whether to film or not, but I think my Gin brain just took over 😎 Looking forward to the next fair where we can meet. Hopefully we can do lot more buddy finds at that one! 🤘 The watches are cool, but that Spin Saw blew my mind!
Dave, that was a fantastic show, typical that when the show has the most amazing stuff I didn’t go as I’m going to echobase tomorrow, what do you use to put your carded figures on the wall? I have quite a few robot changers/convertors carded I’d like to put on the wall but don’t want to ruin the wall
I'm heading to Echo too, maybe see you there! The cards are simply held up with Command Hooks, they stick really well, but can be removed without leaving any trace.
500 stalls, but all i collect is 1/18 scale cars...can anyone tell me which toy fair in the u.k, has plenty of 1/18, no point me spending 3 hours going to birmingham just to see there isn't any.
I don't think there's any toy fair that has plenty of 1.18! You will find some but maybe you should ask the dealers / manufacturers of 1/18 where's best to get them?
Think many of these vendors at TOY SHOWS around the World have got to come back to Earth with their stupid high prices...Vintage Toy Rush...would be better to do your finds and reviews at the end of the video..
Just like anywhere, some stuff is overpriced while there are still bargains to be found. But, you're right it's annoying when you find something you'd really like but it's priced wrongly. As for leaving finds till the end, I can't please everyone but I've had positive comments about the style of my toy hunt vids. There was a lot of back & forth in this one, for sure, didn't have much time to edit this one - at least there's a video to watch 👍
Great to catch up mate 👍 and thanks for the purchases! See you again soon!
Love those cinema programmes Tom! Hope you did well on the day 👍 Roll on the next one.
Fantastic video VTR, so nice to see you there. It certainly was a great day.
