I wish I had a canon vs Sony for my Real estate Photography. Canon auto white balance combined with flash is always white. Sony and Godox seems to give me issues and I have to use the Kelvin adjustment. Yes a raw image WB can be tweaked, but if you send that Raw image off to an editor they only see what they get..

Thanks, Tyler - Well done with great information! One thing I personally am envious of is your ability to send out for edits when pushed for time. My area has pathetic available upload speeds of 5 Mbit MAX (and fastest D/L is 50 megabits per second, at an extra $20/month!). Oh well, it is what it is.

How would I know whether or not I have enough flash to spread throughout the ceiling when doing composites? Could you paint the ceiling with light using a fast shutter speed and then rely on the light from the ambient/luminosity layer to cover furnishings? I am an overthinker.

Maybe next time he was a doorway that isn't so wide so you have to struggle to get through the doorway around your camera and tripod like in a normal house, Probably would have added 10 seconds or more. I've shot both techniques and I can tell you HDR Is much faster but depending on the lighting it will be near impossible to get the colors correct.

Thank you for this, Tyler! I'm a realtor and I also shoot all of my own content. I have the Pocket 3, but I'm finding it a little too small and light to keep it steady. Especially when compared to my camera + gimbal setup. I also got major distortion from the wide angle lens, so I'm contemplating selling the Pocket 3, and upgrading my camera to an R8.

Get a Godox Diffusion Dome, no more multiple ceiling pops. It works on the AD 200 Pro and other flashes. One single pop lights the whole room, which will cut the time down similar to hdr.

Just used it for some apartment walkthroughs today for the first time. I don't have the wide angle adapter. Quality wise, it was decent considering expectations for a tiny lens. But for sure, I had to keep floating the gimbal up and down to show the whole room.

I am really confused, I am usually use 85mm 1,4 for portraits, but I need a wide lens as it is needed for wedding and for some real estate projects, I tried sigma 14-24 2,8 and sigma 20 1,4, the first one was wide but didnt like the quality that much and surely was bad for portraits, and the second one wasnt wide enough, but was mostly going to keep the 20mm till I came to the osmo, I feel that osmo will be more handy than the an extra lens while I am having 1 camera only. I am not into real estate so much, but as I mentioned, I need the wide lens for wedding, and sometimes I have some real estate projects. what do you recommend?

I shoot with a Canon R50 and a Nisi 9mm f2.8 RF lens = 13.5 full frame equivalent. And this affords me professional results for both photo and video. I would only use the DJI Pocket 3 for those silly vertical video walk throughs, and only when the clients request it. But I usually steer them towards a professional cinematic real estate video. Honestly, those vertical videos are amateur hour for children and clueless tourists on TikTok and Instagram. And last I checked most children aren't buying real estate. Realtors need to grow up and understand real estate by its very nature demands a wide angle lens, period.

I use it mixed with my Sony 16-35 mm. for real estate. This Pocket 3 Can for sure make a real estate video but costomer will look on the gear and think it looks like toys. But No body that look on an real estate video on you tube will comment it. But the person that have spend lots of mony on fx. Sony A7s3 and GM objektive have to say Pocket 3 not Can do it. I have both and mix video clip and have NEVER been told any thing about the Pocket 3 clip. It think what I most miss on Pocket 3 is adjust F stop. Just what I think. Thank you for fine video. 🙋‍♂️

I plan to employ the Pocket 3 for active tracking during my real estate video shoot, simultaneously capturing additional footage of the property with the Sony Alpha IV. My concern is whether the video quality of the Pocket 3 will seamlessly integrate with that of the Sony Alpha IV?

Just found your channel. I’ve been shooting handheld HDR for listings for years. Every once in a while I get a misaligned blend, but it’s pretty rare. I shoot more wide-open so I don’t have to push the ISO so far. I typically shoot ISO 800 or 1600 at F4.5.. i’m sure that’s another huge no-no for lots of other RE photographers, but I really don’t think you need massive depth the field. It sounds like you outsource your processing but I would certainly be curious to see how you do your HDR post workflow. Your colors are much cleaner than I get with HDR.

Interesting. So you only need short videos. Coming into the room and then panning across a detail. Is this how you do most videos? Seems very engaging.
