Thanks Tyler, perfect channel with tones of advices for RE photographers all over the globe. Спасибо! =)
Tyler, I like your videos because you go to the point in few minutes. Good job!
Thanks a lot buddy! I appreciate you watching!
I appreciate your help! Your explanation was straightforward and easy to comprehend. thank you Tyler🥺
Thanks for having a concise video. So what did you remove/mask out in addition to yourself? The highlights/Hotspots? Or the shadows?
Awesome video! I've been wanting to get into flash for real estate but not had time to learn the process. Your process in photoshop looks like something I can learn fairly quickly so I think I'm going to give it a try. Thanks!
Absolutely man! If you want to learn more of it, I’ve got a coaching community in the description, check it out!
I see you in the real estate groups all the time and then BAM you said "LFG WITH THAT SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT!"
Killing it.
That’s awesome! Glad you’re here!🙌🏻
Great video; thank you. 👏
I really like your videos. Subscribed.
How would I know whether or not I have enough flash to spread throughout the ceiling when doing composites? Could you paint the ceiling with light using a fast shutter speed and then rely on the light from the ambient/luminosity layer to cover furnishings? I am an overthinker.
This video made my day!
I’m glad! Thanks for watching!
Great video thanks. Can I ask do you use a trigger of some kind to fire the camera when standing in the frame? What type? Thanks
Yes, I use a wireless shutter remote, mine is for canon, it’s the canon br-e1 wireless remote
Where do you find your editors? I have a hard time finding someone who does the flambient method properly.
good work, man. I Like the change-up of the scenery :)
Thanks buddy! I appreciate you!
Nice video Tyler. I agree though, outsourcing is key to growing your business. Good to keep your eye in with a bit of editing now and again though. Looking forward to your next video.
Haha I appreciate your support! And yeah it’s been a while since I’ve sat through an edit!
Nicely done!
Thanks sky!
Nice explanaatino Tyler....really enjoying your videos. How do you decide when you're going to shoot a home using HDR vs flash/ambient?
That’s the next video coming out! Few days hopefully🙌🏻
Watching this awesome post again! To the point... and so informative!!! QUESTION: what do you suggest or you yourself use for 3D tours...? Insta 360, the regular Ricoch camera(s)... How about OpenFrame...? Regarding tools to send your clients the files (photo/video) what do you use or recommend...? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this... Thank you! cheers! ;)
I use Matterport for 3D tours! And I switch between the Matterport pro 2 and the Ricoh theta z1

Thank you sir! Glad you’re here!
Great - fast - streamlined. Thanks. Exactly what I needed. Your ambient photo was pretty darn good. I’d like to see if you could have just edited that in Lightroom - and gotten close to where your flash edited photo wound up. I’m thinking - side by side, there’s not much difference.
In this lighting it was really close! But in some conditions flash really shines through!
Excellente video
Thanks for watching!
Can you make a video using the flambient technique in a room with dark colored walls, floor and furniture?
I could do that!
Would love to see that too. I used to carry the AD300 but lifting it up all day long over my head I was afraid I was going to ruin my shoulder. Switched to the AD100. Much lighter but ended up having to shoot at f4 and ISO800 (instead of ISO250). Dark walls and floors just absorb all my flash power!
great videos man, I shoot real estate as well. keep it up
That’s awesome, thank you!
Ah!!! very similar to what I do. I pop 3 flashes, 1 shot expose the window and one ambient shot. Blend the flash shots in lighten mode, merge layers. Then luminocity mode in 50%
That’s awesome man! I usually hate the editing part to be honest😂
Who do you all source your photos to?
I use a few different ones. Just go to Instagram and type in real estate photo editors and you’ll find tons!🙌🏻
My biggest issue with flambiant is finding good editors that don’t just charge more to do an hdr edit
this is a challenge most of us face, but it's really just trial and error AND having the best communication you can with them!
And where or how do you find who to outsource it with ?
Go to Instagram and just type in real estate photo editor, You’ll find hundreds there!
What if the walls are dark colors
HDR lol. No but really, you can use a softbox and use directional flash at that point
Thanks Tyler I like your approach@@tyler_fraser
Good video. But not all houses have white ceilings. When you bounce light you are also bouncing the color.
That’s where hdr comes into play!
Do you have a masterclass or anything like that?
Not yet! If I see more interest in that, I wouldn’t mind making one! What all would you like to see?
Flambient, if done correctly does look better than HDR bracketed. There are lots of drawbacks though. First and foremost, time on site is much longer. Especially when you take an average of 35-40 photos on a residential real estate property shoot. Some Realtors wait on site while you work and they want you to be quick. All of the post editing including blending, masking layers, erasing yourself from the photos etc seems like a lot of work. I see why you outsource your editing. If you don't have a never-ending subscription to Photoshop and Lightroom forget about flambient. Also...when you outsource all your editing you are at the mercy of your overseas editor getting your media back to you, done correctly and quickly. What if your Realtor client needs them faster? Or the editor doesn't do a great job? How embarrassing would that be to have to explain to your Realtor client? If they don't like the photos you have to send them out for editing...again. Also, as you show in the video, extra equipment needs to purchased and on-hand for flambient. More gear to lug around back and forth to every photo shoot as well. Bottom line is...most Realtors really don't care about the extra quality flambient produces over HDR bracketing. Especially if you charge more for it. Maybe for higher-end properties it might be more advantageous but for the majority of most property listings its really more than is needed.
It’s all personal preference, I think, and I have outsourced my photos for over three years now, and it really just comes down to finding a solid editor that can handle the amount of workflow you give them. It’s worked great for me!
The property it's self really doesn't matter. Toyota Corolla vs Bentley. One takes a few hours to assemble, the other a few weeks. You want the clients who want the Bentley
@@FreedomFist That's true. However, there's a lot more Corollas out there than Bentleys.😀
With my workflow I can shoot an entire 2,500 sqft house using flambient in 30-45 minutes. The process he is showing here is time consuming and inefficient, I agree. It's because he outsources his editing that he is not proficient or skilled with the process. I have my entire editing workflow set up with actions in Photoshop and I automate all my edits through a batch process in Photoshop. I literally load up all my photos into Photoshop, click automate and select my action. Takes about 10 minutes depending on how many photos. Once it's done I go through each one and review them before exporting back to light room. The whole editing process takes me about an hour at most and I can have the photos to my client by morning next day. I agree with you as well about outsourcing the editing, I don't agree with it and would never outsource my work to someone over seas.

Wow it’s so simple! Thank you so much for making this video. 🥹🙏
I try to make everything as simple as possible! Thanks for watching 🙌🏻
