  • Hey guys, I wanted to check out the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, and see how it does for Real Estate Video! I had some fun making that cinematic intro, sometimes I just like
    hearing myself talk 😂 but, I’ve seen some other videos on TH-cam reviewing this camera for real estate, But they all seemed to have great shooting conditions. But what happens when you get inside a dark interior place? Does it still hold up, or does it fall apart? Let’s find out in this video!

    Thank you for this, Tyler! I'm a realtor and I also shoot all of my own content. I have the Pocket 3, but I'm finding it a little too small and light to keep it steady. Especially when compared to my camera + gimbal setup. I also got major distortion from the wide angle lens, so I'm contemplating selling the Pocket 3, and upgrading my camera to an R8.

    Great video dude, I think the shots looked great and the color and composition were on point…
    Between iPhones the osmo pocket 3 and AI editing many clients are starting to realize they don’t need us as much as they used to. Many videographers are starting to be phased out…
    I told my buddy he better start focusing on being a great visual story teller, because many of these tools are GOOD ENOUGH for most people’s needs, but story telling is an ART and much harder to replace.

      Thanks for watching buddy! And I get where you’re coming from, but honestly real estate agents that are serious only want to focus on selling real estate, they’re not wanting to try their hand at being a videographer too. Because usually when they try, turns out like trash lol

      There are many things in life that people can easily do themselves but we choose not to and will pay a premium in many cases just to have someone else do it. We can clean our homes but we hire maids, we can cook our own food but we order takeout so we don't have to, we can go grocery shopping but we have walmart employees do it and then deliver to us. I could go on for days. You'll always have the people who will do stuff themselves, and you will always have the people who will pay others to do it so as to not inconvenience themselves or "waste" their own time.

    I think its good enough for Real Estate Videos! If the listing is upper end then as an agent I would likely hire a videoographer to do the listing video but for listings where hiring a professional do not fit into the marketing budget this little camera is great for capturing the video on your own.

    • @tyler_fraser
      @tyler_fraser  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      This is true! However I’ve seen a lot of agents try to do their own video, not get the results they want, then end up hiring us anyway haha. But the ones that can figure it out and make time for it, I’d say it is a good option!

    Real question: Why do you think mid-day is the worst time to shoot a RE video?
    We often aim for mid day because we like to minimize the sunbeams coming in from windows.
    We return for twilight on the luxury stuff, of course. That light is excellent. I'm strictly referring to daytime video.

    This Pocket 3 Can for sure make a real estate video but costomer will look on the gear and think it looks like toys. But No body that look on an real estate video on you tube will comment it.

    I shoot with a Canon R50 and a Nisi 9mm f2.8 RF lens = 13.5 full frame equivalent. And this affords me professional results for both photo and video. I would only use the DJI Pocket 3 for those silly vertical video walk throughs, and only when the clients request it. But I usually steer them towards a professional cinematic real estate video. Honestly, those vertical videos are amateur hour for children and clueless tourists on TikTok and Instagram. And last I checked most children aren't buying real estate. Realtors need to grow up and understand real estate by its very nature demands a wide angle lens, period.
