I went to Lone Lake which is about 4.75 miles long with just under 500 ft of climbing to compare a lap with platform pedals and a lap with clipless (clipped-in) pedals. I decided to do a route I hadn't done in a while. I start in SW Minneapolis and ride all the way to downtown Saint Paul mostly on bicycle trails. All in all, it was 33 miles and a perfect day for it.

Vintage BMX Ride

My friend John built up these amazing mid-70s BMX bikes. These were the first-ever BMX bikes before modern straight-tube BMX frames came out. We visited two locations where we used to have BMX trails in the woods in Saint Louis Park, MN which was a hot spot for BMX riders including myself.

Sunfish Lake First Ride

I rode my new Esker Smokey at Sunfish Lake. I have never ridden this trail before so it was fun to check out with my friend Tony who has ridden it many times before. I got most of the trail in before my GX AXS shifter battery died unexpectedly.
