Depends. We're from Canada, so a cruise is a big deal for us. Hours of flying internationally, getting our vacation times syncronized at our workplaces and schooltimes, it's a lot of work to be for naught

Take the cruise money and book a hotel in fla and grab a rental car. If the cruise port was in South Fla take a drive down to the florida keys. Use the leftover 💶 refund/credit and book another cruise. Now you have 1 vacation and a free cruise problem solved

Repositioning cruises. On a "per person per day" basis, they're typically significantly cheaper than other cruises, and you get to visit ports that aren't normally visited. Wife and I are booked for a cruise later this year that is Sydney to Singapore.

If they would cover plane tickets and provide free drinking package, I would take their offer 🤭.

I honestly have never been on a cruise, so even though I would have been able to change my dates and everything else? My first cruise is in late February I wouldn't have accepted the offer, honestly. I live in an area that gets 0 degree temperatures and even goes into the negatives and BELIEVE ME - it's not fun. Snow is beautiful when all you do is see it in pictures and see people drive on the covered roads without a problem - but reality isn't the hallmark version. It's freezing outside, you're stuck shoveling it for mins to an hour, the snow gets filthy and doesn't stay pristine white and people do die from going off the roads. I would much rather be I the Caribbean for that week than in the snow and freezing my arse off.

Well, tbh, there is no mention as to just how much over the limit they were. There is generally built-in a little "cushion" on those limits, so, if only like 10 or 15 pounds over, they're probably still safe. They had a limit like this on RCL rock climbing thing, and I was 300 pounds. Considering the only person affected besides myself was the guy holding the safety line, he just said, "oh go on anyway." I didn't need to bribe or anything, he just felt generous, and I was only 25 pounds over. Plus, the guy doing most of the heavy lifting was *me!*

I think I would. 100% refund, which I can use that money to buy another trip (cruise or not) for the same dates the cruise was. Last minute but why not if you want to go on vacation. On top of that, within two years you get another cruise for free of equal or lesser value...I am sure you could even ask for an upgrade (like interior to ocean view, ocean view to balcony, etc) and they would probably do it if they are reaching out to you 2 days before sailing. However, if I was flying to my cruise port and flights and a hotel were booked, I might have to think a bit about that

No, I don’t think they should be banned permanently. In the grand scheme of things it’s not a big deal still it is theft. They should be banded let save for one year and charged $1000 fine. I think that would be 100% fair

Two days? No. Think about it: you’ve possibly already taken PTO, purchased travel insurance, booked flights, paid for your pets to be cared for and packed your bag. Princess won’t reimburse you for everything. They just need to stop overbooking their ships.
