Usually other people attacking you, they reply…I’ve stopped trying to help ease others worrying but it’s sad that a lot of people who know I wild camp alone will never do it because they themselves are scared. Have you ever bothered or considered doubling up your poles on the Unna and or going to 10mm poles? I've got a set of 10mm poles on the way, so I'll be experimenting with that, even though we don't get much in the way of wind where I am. I'm also thinking of doubling up the guy lines, just to experiment and see what difference that makes. It's all good fun. :)

What tent is that mate

I find the x-mid a noisy tent in the wind. Even with relatively low wind speeds. What are your thoughts on this. I think looking at your video you also suffered from this.

It's not better than a Hilleberg, I don't even need to watch the video first lol. It's not even better than my slingfin/stone glacier. KUIU makes great clothes but their tents and packs aren't that great..

How is the weight and the packed down size please?

The only way the kuiu is better than a hilleberg is price and weight . Hillebergs are heavy and expensive . Both tents are great .they just use different materials that's all . Both have good and bad points 😢 ps I own a kuiu storm star .👍👍 friend owns a soulo . He wishes he brought a storm star instead . It's like buying a hilleberg allack for soulo money . no brainer . 😂

that diagonal pole is a really very good design update, allows for wider opening on both sides. i hope the OEX Rakoon would incorporate that too.

Hi, I note you have now sold the Kuiu. However, looking back do you still stick by your comments and recommend the Storm Star when compared to Hilleberg Akto and Soulu certainly from a cost perspective? Thanks

Funny in mid SUMMER desperate for the winter.......( Crap summer so not surprised). Great conditions for that camp..... nothing like it. 👌 In my emergency bag I keep one of those striker spark things. You can light a stove without worrying about wet matches or gas run out ( I take a lighter normally but have it handy )

Just seen the tent reduced on the Kuiu site. Put an order in..... Cant wait for winter camps again. My Salewa was great but this has more vestibule space and will be more rigid.. . . . . Just the cold batteries to overcome huh!!!

Im walking across Canada with my dog. Our msr tent has broken twice now. Im looking into purchasing this one. So my biggest question that I can’t seem to find an answer to. Would you be able to be comfortable in this tent with a husky dog, and gear!???? Wish there was a 3 person…might be tight in a 2person. But maybe a bit warmer even. Who knows. Haha

Tent is 1.5kg at least with the poles.

Just bought my second 1p solid because I wanted the end vents (as opposed to vents above the zips) And I love the new color!

The additional protection for the top were the trekking pole tips go is a great, and needed update. I haven’t damaged my tent yet, but it could surely happen. Heh Dan, what about a retrofit??
