class video as always, but genuinely a job isn't worth your happiness, what are the real barriers stopping you from looking for another job in your field that will allow you that 2 or 3 days off together? Everyone has fear of moving into a new place but it is an option
Your life balance is important and if it’s becoming to much, just slow it down. You won’t lose your audience. True followers stick with you. You have to enjoy what you do and it should feel great when your doing it. I have just started my channel and have 38 followers, and I’m grateful for who watch. Your channel is quality and I love it. Take some time, reflect on what you want.
Hi Steven, don’t worry too much about getting out every week, I’ve got heavy work commitments which mean I only post a video once a month or so. I still hugely enjoy doing what I do and you have a great subscriber base which I’m sure would be happy with what ever you manage. Chin up man and keep knocking it out of the park with your videos! I'm the same, once a month is what I've committed to. You have to do what works for you and fits your life. TH-cam tries to take over and stress you out.
At worst it is a temporary stop, as you are still young ( I am 71) and we always rise from the lows in life eventually.

You’re a massive reason I got involved in wild camping. Especially living in the north east and not many TH-camrs doing videos around Northumberland. Keep it going mate. You’ll not realise how many people you’ve helped out. 🤞🏼

Just watched this mate... Just wanted to reach out and say, you've got to do what you need to do, not what TH-cam wants. If you can't get out as often as you can, I'm sure I speak for all your subscribers when I say that we'll be here waiting for a video to drop when you're able to... I have watched your latest video as well and echo what you've said on there... You can't stop doing something you love. Get out when you can and enjoy it when you do 👍🏼

First of. Cracking pitch! I’d had been the same, always seem to take an age to get the right pitch.
Funnily enough, I had a meltdown about a week after our camp and it was a combination of things along with that feeling you have of loosing your flexibility. Doesn’t at all mean the end. We know it’s hard to keep momentum with the TH-cam algorithm but don’t put pressure on yourself. Your videos are quality and perfectly edited. The subs you currently have will happily wait a touch longer to get them out. Lets get the next camp sorted soon too btw 👍
Nice well shot video this in a cracking spot, really enjoyed it. Do what your heart tells you mate, also never consider what people think either as that also adds pressure. Hope to see more vids mind, take it easy fella. Atb 👍

A good spot in one of the places I love. It’s a nice piece of land up there with a lot of spots and places to pick once you get up. At the end of the day Steve and I know this that some things are ment to happen that bring us a lot of good that we never see. You may only do your videos every few weeks but it will give you more time to relax and work on the channel, content or with brands a bit more. No matter what it’s always good to get out when you can. See you on a mountain soon mate and maybe a double date one too.

I know it's hard but try not to be hard on yourself man. You'll find time and you'll be back out even if it's not as much as you used to be. Keep your head up lad.

I understand sort of where your coming from probably slightly different situation. I was made redundant a year ago and have been doing temporary work, only recently started a new “proper” job” again and everything stopped over the last year, hoping now to get back out on weekends. Hope it all works out for you. Dave

Theyll be a compromise mate. Dont lose sight of the fact that the outside influences ( work/bad news etc) will be swaying you back and forth. Once the dust settles they'll be a sweet spot 😁

Give yourself time and it will sort itself out, nobody is making you accountable to get videos on weekly. You do what you love the most when you have time for it. You started doing it because you love doing it, that is the most important part! Keep your chin up 😊

You got to have money coming in, a job etc, sometimes life seems an uneven and often cruel balance, I went from fit strong and healthy to a surgical mess, I had to push myself through and I had no balance, everything seemed dark, I'm getting to grips with recording my adventures for a laugh and something to look back on but sometimes I just can't, I think when you are forced in a corner with what seems little choice you look at the dark side, you will get back and you will find balance again, work won't always be like that, keep your passion alive mate, your channel offers alot for everyone, and my wife says you have great hair,😂 don't be down mate, hold on you will find that work balance again and be back smashing out the vids, thanks fir sharing !!!

Surely the enjoyment is being out and about, the videos should only be a small part of it. We do hobbies such as Wild Camping / Hiking because it makes us feel so good and gives us that break from life that we need. Surely you don't need to make videos to enjoy what you are doing. Granted its good for everyone else but you got to look after you and do whats best for you. As long as you can still get out then thats the most important thing. At the end of the day you couldnt do any hobbies without work, and unfortunately its the harsh truth, that has to come first sometimes. Unless you are prepared to look elsewhere for a job that offers the flexibility. All the very best to you whatever you do mate, look after yourself.
Thanks for the advice, the element of recording and editing is something I find relaxing. I know many content creators are focused on the output but I really enjoy the input. Framing shots and so forth..cheers watching

My job is flexible but I have the element of busy family life and other hobbies. But I know how you feel as I used to work away Monday to Friday and I couldn’t get anything done. When I got back I couldn’t even go on my motorbike because I felt an element of guilt that I should be spending my weekend with my wife and kids. Sucks sometimes but things change. Best of luck dude

I was in the same situation a few years ago, work was making it just about impossible to get out. I can't not wildcamp, it's the one thing in life I love, my quiet space, my chill out time, my passion. So I found a new job, left my old one and took a chance for a lot less money, but it meant I could continue with what I absolutely love doing, wildcamping and sharing my videos on here, it was the best decision I've ever made 😊 I'm sure you will work things out, don't rush any decisions, have a good think and everything will come good.
