    I very much like where freddy sits now. Personally I would have preferred a full rework, but we even, sort of half, got old freddy back, with a sleep timer downside + you're not invisible, but that's a very cool way to implement old freddy without going back there. I do get tho why they didn't make a full rework. The way they approached his buffs is like you said the bare minimum, playing it very save, with a little bit extra on top which ultimately was the better decision than to risk another failure of rework and have to do yet another one. He does definitely feel a lot better and more fun now, however yeah, I completely agree, he seems worlds better when compared to before the rework, but if you actually start comparing him to good killers, he starts to fall off quite a bit and I feel people are jumping the gun top hard atm as everyone talks about how strong it is to teleport to hooks, downed survivors amd heals, when im reality all you need to do is wale each other up or grab one of the now many clocks around the map. People can still render most of his powers useless by simply being awake, and if people would use that more, whici they don't cause he basically just released on the ptb, he won't be nearly as oppressive as he is when survivors do everything wrong against him. Plague it's, or at least was for a while before some changes, don't cleanse, freddy it's simply don't sleep. I do hope if they nerf him that they only touch the potentially new frustrating parts about him and not needless change things that didn't need fixing. I would like to retain as much as possible of this new freddy without punching him down a tiers before release of his new self, bringing him closer again to what he was before, a boring and weak killer at the same time. Him being a medium + fun killer strikes a nice balance that makes me wanna play him, and not feel miserable doing so.

    Oh my god... this right there is one of the things why I don't play this game so much (I mostly play survivor with my friend). People would just immediately give up couse of the smallest of inconveniences. It's just straight up unplayable sometimes. You join the match with an understanding that you're f*cked up regardless of your actions. This is just sad and at that point kinda miserable...

    Why would i use my power to put someone to sleep with a power that has a 5 second cooldown when i could just hit someone to get them into the dream world instead? Dream snares are on a 5 second cooldown now as well, teleport cooldown can't be reduced like old Freddy currently by keeping survivors in the dreamworld by slugging them since they wake up if you down them, teleport can't be canceled at all, Dream pallets are visible to survivors now, erupt is extremely hard to get a hit with since it has a 1,5 second delay, Freddy can be stunned by his own dream pallets, Clown has a better hindered effect (15%) against Freddy's 12 % with a 5 second cooldown (how is that a buff?), any alarm clock can be used by a survivor now, the wake up interaction is always 5 seconds, Black Box is not going to work since when you down survivors now it wakes them up, Red Paint Brush makes it take longer for survivors to fall asleep. Where are the buffs here? Except the ability to teleport to healing survivors but why would you heal in the dreamworld to begin with? What are the buffs he got, i genuinely wanna know.

      Even Rayoxium, who I mention in this video, does a test that shows it's merely an improvement, not a fix. Hopefully this helps!

    He’s high C+ at maximum that’s it He’s rework is a success HOWEVER The pallets are useless and need a change now (and in most cases help survivor more), don’t know why they made the snare hinder lower (was 15% now 12%) saying now it’s impossible to stack the snares The healing tp is gonna be a new player stomp meaning newer player / weaker are gonna complain which is what got him nerf to begin with and I have a feel this will happen again, people won’t learn to get out of the dream world BEFORE healing and just complain they can’t heal which gets other parts of his kit nerfed

    I find the criticism of giving up on hook hilarious. Mainly because killers have said “it’s not my job to make sure you enjoy the match” after getting chewed out for tunneling, or something. So I see this as survivors essentially saying the same thing. It’s possible it’s trolling, and if so this just gives the troll what they want. That is to ruin your match.

    My problems with this rework are 1. Awake survivors can see dream powers. It’s just not thematic, and the dream powers only function to put you asleep so why do awake survivors need to see it when they can see him charge it up anyway? 2. Dream pallets lost their whole purpose of being a deception tool. I wish they’d focus more on making them about deception and less on making them about injury 3. The teleporting to healing survivors should only work if the survivor being healed is asleep 4. I think the loss of the ability to cancel a teleport makes him very clunky, especially when you’re trying to switch powers but accidentally teleport instead. Maybe make it so you can cancel gen teleports but not healing teleports

      I also don’t get why they added the indicator that the dream pallets are fake, because his explosion detonation takes 1.5 seconds anyway, and during that time the pallet starts to shake, so if a survivor runs to a dream pallet thinking it’s real and it begins to shake, then they should know to just get away or pre-drop it because a normal pallet isn’t going to shake like that

    as someone who uses Wake Up, i'm loving the buff it's getting. though i've done what i'd say is 50/50 on SWF's vs Solo Q's. i've never really paired it up with Sole Survivor, cause i can think of other ideas for perks to fill that spot honestly

    Hey look its me! I think Freddy from watching you play (i hate ptb queue times…) and from playing against him, is like you said, High C, low B if youre performing at peak. He felt really difficult to play against, but thats a combination of his power being new and me kinda sucking at surv haha. I think this patch (aside from the “bug fixes) was done really well, and gave freddy a really really cool power and addon list. But yeah…. labor of love guys

    Absolutely love the changes, only thing is I think dream pallets need a little bit more love. Don't think they should be able to stun you, there shouldnt be the visual distinction as fooling survivors with them was kinda the point before, and the blast radius should be a little bit bigger but other than that amazing changes!

      I think it should be one or the other, dream pallets should be obvious but impactful or sneaky but ineffective, not entirely one way or entirely the other. Running to a pallet that looks normal and getting downed randomly is unfair, if you run to a pallet _knowing_ it's a dream pallet and choose to stay near it to try and go for a stun then it's deserved. My only complaint is that Survivors can drop the pallet _before_ it explodes, cancelling the effect. Survivors will always just predrop the pallet to avoid the risk of going down and they aren't punished for it _at all._

    I'm afraid of how optimally he will play considering how fast his power recharges while slugging. honestly clocks just shouldn't have a cooldown. imo high C tier first impressions and could be high b tier or even Oni level depending on the flow of his slugging potential

    From what I've seen of him, I put him in the same place as I put Sadako. Upper C tier, lower B if you take the time to really figure out how to use him. As someone who mained Freddy back before his first rework, I'm looking forward to playing him again. Didn't care much for Sharp Hand Joe.

    I think Freddy is gonna be a Solid middle of the pack B Tier imo around Dredge/Doctor level, the new buffs especially to his Teleporting ability able to get across the map especially in the endgame now, plus teleporting to Healing survivors in the Dream world can be really strong especially using anti-healing builds, and his anti-loop is just much more fluid and better than before, so while I don't think he'll be super strong especially against better survivors but he'll be, roughly in the middle of the pack decent B Tier killer imo especially be able to a bit of a pub stomper.

Loving the buffed Freddy, they did acknowledge most of the issues, but I think they could have built on/ improved what he already had vs changing so much (i.e snares). Either way, he plays much better now, I'm hoping the changes make it to live.

    The only unfortunate thing is now that Myers and Freddy r out of the bottom 3 Trapper is undeniably the worst killer in the game by a decent margin (Other then the one we don’t speak of) and he most likely won’t ever leave that spot, it’s kinda sad honestly

    I have no idea, what's so fun about the new Freddy? He has a weaker straight line Clown bottle every 5 seconds, fake pallets that you can see are fake, have an ability that will hit once in a million years and they can stun you. Teleporting changes are cool tho the healing one maybe could be used in a not healthy way like snowballing cause you wouldn't have time to go for the clock... Well but at the same time he's still an M1 killer that can't get downs that easily so maybe it's not that bad, idk Maybe he's just not for me, only thing I know is that I don't like few fake pallet changes

      Nah he's low c still, dream pallets are worse then before and his anti loop is only slightly better, his only upside is his map pressure but that can only do so much for an m1 killer. The reworks cool but underwhelming

Freddy's pallets were nerfed but everything else was buffed especially teleportation. Are comp players not allowed to play test or is there something you know that I don't?

    I think it's strange for killers to take it upon themselves to punish other players for something that BE has the ability to fix. Regardless, you're going to have one less player contributing.

    definitely interesting concept, but in my opinion, I don't think this would really make alien feel more like alien, as much as it would just add more stuff that references stuff from the Alien movies. I think overall, the reason why Xenomorph doesn't feel like Xenomorph, is its power isn't designed in a way that thematically simulates the feeling of its source material. A good example of thematic expressions of characters in powers would be Chucky. Those movies have a lot of themes of paranoia, and people second-guessing themselves because... why would a doll be alive? The power references this by not just having built in undetectable, but also with that undetectable, you see and hear footsteps everywhere, simulating the feeling from the source material that with Chucky's size, and unassuming nature, you're always paranoid of where he's actually going to be. With alien, at least the original, the core themes seem to be with feelings of Isolation, with the crew of the Nostromo being taken out one by one after they end up getting isolated from everyone else. With this, I feel Xenomorph would need a power design such that it's really strong by survivors caught by themselves, but can be countered by survivors who pair up. Examples of killers like that already are Houndmaster and Twins. So, I'm not sure what this would look like, but a spitball idea is to keep the tunnels as those feel the most Xenomorph-like part of the current power, and drop the crawler mode. Instead of entering crawler mode when the power timer finishes, Xenomorph gets an Ovomorph added to its "inventory" (like trapper traps). The xenomorph can press the power button a second time while crawling out of the tunnel to leave the ovomorph in the exit that it's exiting from. If a survivor tries to get a flamethrower from that station, it will get a facehugger that jumps out and attempts to bind with them. If another survivor is nearby, they can help pull the Facehugger off, and discard it. Otherwise, it binds successfully, and maybe the sub power you suggest in this then occurs. Instead of knocking xenomorph out of crawler mode, since that no longer exists in this concept, the flamethrowers would progressively destroy the eggs that its accumulated. Now, obvious problem I see with this is if the Flamethrowers are only used to destroy egg tokens, and the eggs only have an effect if survivors go for flamethrowers... then survivors could just not interact with the stations and be fine. So maybe it would be beneficial to be able to hide facehuggers in other things as well, namely, generators. But again, this is an idea I'm coming up with on the spot so it's probably not super solid. (Added note), something I don't like about current Xenomorph, in addition to the lack of isolation themes I just mentioned, is the fact that it is most effective while in crawler mode, in which case (in my opinion), it's a significantly less imposing monster. Seeing xenomorph walk upright is consistently freaky. Seeing him crawl around, not so much. He feels less like a horrific monster and more like an alien kitty cat while crawling, despite being objectively more powerful in that mode.

    Its becasue they are making gameplay design choices that remove survivor agency. The survivor role already lacks lot of agency, so people are prone to feeling hopeless, but when you give killerperks like pain res, dead lock, or have gameplay design that encourages killers to tunnel or camp if they start to lose, and once they are able to successfully do so to only 1 person, the game is practically over, even if the survivors are already close to winning (within a gen to exit gates), why the hell would you wait around? There is practically no ability for survivors to come back from a losing game, this is dumb when the killer role is supposed to be the skill based role, yet the killer role is the one that given many, many, many second chances to win. Its 1v4. On killer you take on more stress in return for winning more, and on survivor you do the opposite. That has been cranked up to a max now, killer has become less stressful, because one good pop, or one good snowball is alwasy there to win you even the worst of games. On top of that a lot of the survivor options to punish killers for misplaying, are jsut not in the game anymore, or theyre jsut irrelevant anyways. If the killer doesnt want to chase you he doesnt have to. He can jsut choose to go for the weak link, and once theyre dead, the game is over. Id say maybe speed up gen progress when a survivor is out of the game, to encourage less tunneling or proxying. Or maybe even automatically complete a gen if a survivr dies above 4 gens left. As well as they are heavily leaning into killers with powers that remove survivor agency in chase. Houndmaster is a great example. When you are in soloq and are matched with random people, you have basically no chance of winning if one guy is out of the game, the first sign of weakness you jsut give up immediately. It makes sense. This is not a community issue, this is a game design issue. Basically in soloQ, even if YOU are good, if the killer knows to not chase you, you lose either way. If the killer is not completely trash or throws the game focusing on the good looper, you jsut lose. Why would people not sjut go next in that enviornment? Why would they not be jaded? Yes, I only talked on killers, because no one cares when killers go next. The game jsut ends.

    Otz is definitely more correct in placement. The problem with Xenomorph is that for every pro he also has such heavy cons as well. One of the reasons you basically treat the turret add-ons as mandatory is because the turrets are so oppressive when placed well enough. Even if you do double turret add-ons, it won't make a difference against double turrets. When you're not in your power, there is nothing that separates you from someone like Trapper. No killer should feel that certain add-ons are mandatory and it goes to show how oppressive the turrets are. He could also benefit from some quality of life improvements. Namely, when using the tunnels, it would be nice if the control stations had a green arrow or something pointing out from the entrance. Looking up from the tunnels, they look like a big blob of alien crap and it's incredibly difficult to discern where I will be facing when I come out. Having to learn a bunch of maps and objects to know that the Xeno's tail will hit the air molecule above a table or something (invisible walls) that you think aren't there, thus stopping your attack. Then you face an incredibly punishing movement speed slow and cooldown because of poor/lazy map design. Not being able to use an entire game mechanic (Stealth) because of his counterplay (turrets) is wild to me, especially since him being stealthy and scary is one of his primary attributes. I think a lot of these things are why people go: "Why play Xenomorph when I can play someone who doesn't have to deal with such strong counterplay?". I like Xenomorph because I think he's really cool, but I also acknowledge that he's packed full of weaknesses and his add-on choices feels more like an illusion of choice because of inadequate character design.

    You bleed someone out for not wiggling? That's a bit extreme don't you think there's like no chance a survivor is going to get dropped by the killer without the help of other survivors it's also a bit of an assumption that it means they will give up on hook when I play I often do try to wiggle but don't give up I just know 99.9% of the time there is a hook close enough that I won't get dropped.
