HOW TO INSTALL 32MM FIBERGLASS WHEELS ON YOUR ROLLER SKATES
In this video I show you how to install 32mm fiberglass wheels on my sons skates. In order to put on 32mm wheels you must modify the bottom cushion. You can either cut .25 inch off and use the bigger half or order the "drop Kit" from sk8fanatics.com.

XAOS openings
มุมมอง 3.1K12 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a Xaos 21 98 sqft canopy. This was 2 days of filming with this canopy. I have never had a line twist on the 200 jumps I used this canopy.Although I have only about 1,400 jumps The Xaos 21 is by far the best canopy I have ever used for shooting video while having the high performance of a cross braced canopy. Soft, long, smooth, predictable openings.

what not to do with a line twist parachute malfunction
I loved this video, very informative, especially since I am going thru the same process of upgrading my vintage skates. I wish you had slowed down a little and explained the process when dealing with the bearings though. The finished skates were LOVELY and HOT!!!! Thank YOU.
@@bbfree1405 thanks, glad it helped. Here is a video on the loose ball bearings. th-cam.com/video/xyvPHQVx3wk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=2cY7WzYwGDTsr1nb
Come back to TH-cam!
@@OriginalVirtuoso hahaah thanks.. soon!
I wish it were possible to retrofit modern day wheels onto a vintage skate... finding loose ball wheels isn't easy these days.
I wanna try building mine…where do you get your trucks from please ?
@@hoodskateLNDN skate fanatics
@@freeflydenny thank u!
I'm trynna get some Stacy's now
does it matter what plate you get for fiber wheels ?
@@NyMuhammad4 nope.. you can use any plates
What are the pros/cons of large to small wheels? Is it for the look or the skating experience? And what are the differences?
Is there more control with the smaller wheel?
I I don't think so, it's the same.. just lor looks
Are you in Houston
Nope, California, southern...
Can you make me some
Hahah I only make them for myself... there's no $$ in it.. Skate Fanatics will make them for you
Sweet. This is why I now roller skate in my middle age.
DUDE!!! Cool content! Thanks for helping out everyone.
Real question I’m 6.2 245 I wear size 16s and I was wondering if I could use fiber glass wheels on high tops? Or would I need Stacy’s Adam’s/lowtop shoes
I would go with a Stacy high or low top. Reason being is you need that hard sole for support. If you went with a softer sole you will feel the plate on the bottom of your foot.
Need a size 14 roller skates, in Japan and need them soon, can you help me?
Sorry, I only make these for fun.. check out Skate Fanatics
How do you make the jump bar rattle when you skate?!!!!
I think you are describing loose ball bearings. They have a rattle sound...
Great great job-wow
Thank you for an super awesome video dude everyone here loves you
Right on ! Thanks for the kind words!
So how would carbon fiber insoles work?
I'm sure great
Thanks for sharing extremely helpful for me.
You don't have any videos demonstrating? I'm not good on sliders, but I dig the idea, I just suck on them
Not really, the more you skate on them the more comfortable you will get
Where can I find a drill like that and also when I tried to loosen the truck the metal screw was super tight. Any suggestions?
It's just a drill press. Its not needed. Any cordless will work. As far as the screw, May just be rusted.. use some leverage. Once you get it off retape the truck and buy a new nut.
My cushions are either cement or my knifes are trash
Lol
You are jamming dawg!!!!. Nice video. I'm going to mount some plates. Now I know how to center the plate without having to have that square thingy. Thanks Bruh.
I saw two different types of bearings the 7mm and the 8mm, which one do I get😭 like does it depend on what size the wheels are
8mm or 7mm is the size of the inner stem where the nut holds the bearing and wheel on. 8mm is the typical bearing for roller skates, skate boards etc. 7mm would be more old school, loose stuff.
Make more videos cuz
Hahah thanks, long overdue..
Those are nice!!! ❤ and I love how you actually give a skating surprise after each video ✅😁
Interested in wooden wheels…your thoughts?
Perfect to statt.start.. they are on the cheaper side with good slide
Which grit sand paper do you use on the wood wheels ?
I got a pair of nike blazers and put them on some lo ride plates. Currently i’m running just the nike insole would you recommend installing an insoles like this? Got wood wheels on my skates trying to learning cali slide style
You don't need them... it's over kill..
Ha! Yup, the snack bar and the bathroom, that’s what messes up the wheels.
Can u help me with getting these I need to know everything I need to get
Yes sir... Email me Freeflydenny@yahoo.com
I want you to build me a pair
Do you sell skates
I've sold some in the past.. not enough profit in it to make it a thing.. what are you looking for?
Thanks!
Is there a difference between the 33mm and the 39 mm also what should be considered when buying plates and trucks?
I think 38 are standard fibers. 32 is machined down.. 32 you gotta cut the cushions. The plates are just preference. Classic, no toe stops are what I like. I can't tell a difference in performance
Is there really a difference when choosing the 32mm and the 38mm?
No, just looks..
Do you still make custom skates?
Yeah here and there
I purchased vnla luna fame indoor skates the wheel hardness states 95a/ 57m they stick to the floor i been to several rinks and it's the same , payed $224.00 for these skates very disappointed
All urethane will stick. Go with some wood wheels for a cheep slide option
the background "music" gave me an actual headache. Didn't know that was possible.
Lol thanks
The sound for the spray painting?????
?? I had to take the music out for copyright..the video got all jacked up..
I just thought it was a funny edit, since the audio was like, a completely different spray bottle
@@jesseduffield8564 oh yeah, forgot about that on lol
Thank you for posting this.
In order to get skate like the church shoes do you have to Make them or is there a brand similar to those, so I can just get fiber wheels
Make them or have them made from a skate shop..
Where did you get the large jump bar?
ordered it from suregrip.
Why is the bar so low at the bottom of trucks? What’s the point of having it so low and some have the bar in the middle?
Just for looks, low ride..
how much for a set up
I don't sell them.. the ones in the vid cost me $400+ pre covid.
im thinking about building one, what plate do i use, im gonna make skate fanatics to do it just wondering what plate
I use surgrip classics
👌🏽 alignment info received. Can’t wait to do my custom stacy adams as well
Nice, you can't really mess it up. After a few laps you will be use to your new alignment no matter how off lol... I swapped a pair of shoes out in 15 minutes once.. literally slapped them together. Still skating them years later hahah
Is there a link that shows how to align and mount the plates for dress shoes?
No, but I show it in my video Kyle Walker Van's skate video
Hey brother for your slider skates at the end of video, which size plates and bearings did you get?
Size 7 on the plates for a size 10 foot. 8mm bearings.
I appreciate you showing yourself skating in them. I have so much dress shoes that I don’t use anymore and wanted to throw my chicago skate trucks on them (switched to riedell). I also picked up some unusable impalas that can’t fit my partner so more trucks to make customs with.
