Thanks! I like the smaller the better because you can make quick transitions without getting Tripped up. Almost like you are just wearing a pair of shoes rather than skates. Its a looks thing too. I believe suregrip fiberglass wheels only come in 38mm. Sk8fanatics makes their own in 32mm
Hey great job lil man you already got style from your Pops !! I’m glad to see you got some trick vans skates. My Son is almost 9 and we’re goin skating today. Cheers sk8 family from Sacramento

@@freeflydenny Bro I dig your channel. We have similar style on the hardwood. I’m building a pair of skates out of my old Dr. Martin wing tips … any thoughts ? They are in great shape from the 90’s with a chunky think sole. Anyhow have a great weekend bro, I’m originally from Indio Ca, born in San Bernardino but now in Sac
Docs will work great!!! I wear docs to work for the last 25 year. They will make some comfortable skates. Good tip would be to drill the holes a bit bigger. Most people don't drill the holes big enough and fight to get the screws in. Docs will be extra difficult if your holes aren't big enough.... Let me know if you have issues...
@@freeflydenny thanks for the response man I failed to mention that my wing tips are low top and they are steel toe however they really don’t weigh all that much and I ordered some Avante magnesium plates they should be here next week along with my fibers, i’m hoping by saving a little weight with my plates and wheels that may offset the steel toe?? If for some reason they don’t work out I have Stacy Adams as a back up and like four pairs of vans pro I can tear into
I’m trying to have these built by next weekend so I can use them for my birthday it would be great to send you a picture when they’re done and get your opinion.. is it weird to exchange e mails? Or I have to learn how to post pics on here
So from what you said in the beginning anything smaller than 38mm needs to modify the plates. Does that mean a standard 39mm fiber wheel will fit onto century nts plates with any modifications
Thank you so much for making these vids! Is there any technical advantage of stacys over a skate shoe setup with fiber insole and are the super x plates lower platform than classic nts? Which do you prefer
No problem! I like the Stacy due to the hard sole... I don't like the feel of shoes on the bottom of my foot. The NTS plates are my favorite I don't like toe stops and the whole set up is super light.. The super X are too heavy.
@@freeflydenny i was in east county sd for like 3 years while i was in the marines. I live back home in maine now. Sk8fanatics. I will do a video on jump bars when i have time. Its a bit complicated. If your jump bar is high " stock" its the same. Just cut the lower cushion and put it back together.
@@Vinnymaximum yes on the classic plates you need them. The classic plate is very slim on top and the trucks will separate or the plate will bend without it. Kinda like the support beams on a roof.

With cut cushions like i showed in the video you need to order 1 size bigger jump bar then the plate. For me size 7 plate and 8 jump bar. Sk8fanatics sells any size jump bar .

Is there really a difference when choosing the 32mm and the 38mm?
No, just looks..
Does anyone know if 32mm fibers fit on old-school frames from 40'sand 50's without modification
Shout out to Pete and then wheels!! Gotta love there work!!
Do you have to change the screws on the trucks if I change the bushings?
Nope, should be fine
@@freeflydenny you were right! I bought some of the wheels and they fit my trucks just fine. Thank you!
dude i have seen this roller skate having a tpu wheels of 72....do you think its goid
What kind of trucks are those?
Did you use the jump bar that came with that plate or did you use a separate jump bar
Separate, I believe one size bigger then the plate
Did you cut both of them 1/4 inch or just the bottom cushion?
Yep
What size were the bearings that fit into those wheels? 7mm or 8mm?
Yes, 8mm is most commonly used.
When you put these on regular skates do you need the jump bar?
Only the classic plates need jump bars
are those looseball or precision? Also what size bearings did you use for the 32mm?
Those are precision. 8mm
Is the jump bar supposed to be low to the ground like that or higher up by the soul or does it not matter?
Higher up is they are designed
Do you have website? i live in France and fancy asking you to convert one leather shoes for me with small wheels
No but check out sk8fanatics they do all custom skates
Do you make these for anyone? Looking to get a pair made for my husband?
