Thanks for sharing and being honest May you have peace and success
Hi! Checking in, got my step 2 results back and was hoping for higher, got a 257. Thanks for All your advice. Would love a video on how things have been starting residency, hope you’re well!
Could you please send the decks. I cant find them anywhere on the internet
Oh so you were doing incorrects throughout the year and not just at dedicated
Hey, when you say that you only wrote notes on UW questions you got wrong twice are you speaking about an incorrect that you would do again in dedicated and that was the first time you wrote notes? When preparing for shelfs since you didn’t do used questions then did you write notes to prepare for those?
Do have a recommendation for which chat gpt to use to help understand answer explanations better?
Hello, I was analyzing your TH-cam channel. your you tube SEO score is very low. It should be increased. and subscribers ,views , like, comments is very low according to your channel age. This is why your you tube growth is very low and your channel setup is also having many problems. If, you can solve this problems your channel will grow and be famous very quickly.
Nice content
During dedicated did you do all your practice questions in timed mode (Vs. Tutored)? and with do you recommend?
great tip!! I didn't even pay attn to this.
Thankyou, this is so relatable and hearing this helps so much. Usually you hear people on here talking only about how they were able to study for extended periods of time relentlessly, and my need to take frequent breaks had me doubting my abilities and feeling stressed and extremely guilty. This was so reassuring, thankyou for putting this out here.
Congratulations on matching! Hoping to match into the same come my time, starting m3 soon, would it be possible to email you questions I have about matching as a DO?
Hi Alyssa. Thank you so much for your content and for sharing your journey. I am currently preparing for step 2 and I find your content intensely helpful. Thank you so much!
OMG the guy coughing!! I had the same experience during my step 1 exam. The guy was coughing for 3 blocks!! I almost cried!!
I'm surprised with how much you could utilize ChatGPT on that level! I'd never thought that it could do the stuff you made it do! Generate questions with the literal goal of delineating differences between related diseases? Wow! I mean when I was studying , my experience with ChatGPT was very disappointing. It probably is the case that it got much better since then, but I think also the fact that is more of basic science (solid knowledge) heavy material made it really futile... LLM like ChatGPT excel at "processing" the info & details, manipulating the knowledge, the approach, the algorithms & the rather than generating info or help digging deep into the scientific basis... It's why & how the dots are connected, rather than what are the dots? or why the dots are that shape? if that makes sense... That's why it could be used in clinical knowledge exams preparation, I guess!
Hahahaha! Oh my god, your experience with the exam reminds me of mine during exam day last year! I remember that during the 3rd to 4th blocks, there was this eardrum piercing, literally screeching sounds & stomping noise... I almost lost it! The terrifying thing is that I have misophonia & my PARTICULAR trigger was stomping noises & basically any noise produced through walls. It was actually a very debilitating thing that I had to live through during my Step 1 preparation period (& most of Step 2 before moving out). I don't remember a single NBME that I have taken during the day because of my misophonia. I'd literally take my NBMEs in the middle of the night, after 3 to 4 hours of "sleep", just to be able to go through them while there was no noise! Gosh I can't believe what I did in my preparation period... It was a period of my life that I wish no one EVER has to go through! Anyways, back to the main story, lol! The stomping & screeching in my exam went on for almost 2 hours, the problem is that the proctors literally said that they can't do anything! I mean imagine going to the most (actually 2nd most) important exam in your life & your archnemesis is lurking around the corner just to show up when you least expect it! The very thing that messed my life up during preparation showed up in the real deal! That is what literally happened to me... but when you go through what I had to go through during my early journey. You are not gonna go back... I was like, Ok, are you kidding me? If it's gonna be this way then I don't care... Is it a challenge? You can't beat me! It was a miracle! I passed , my is gonna be soon... I'm hoping to get a great score like yours. I just wanna share an advice to all of those who made it this far: Don't let these exams or anything else in life get to you! You are stronger than you think, and the road is full of & bumps, sometimes straight up barricades, but with a bit of endurance and a leap of faith... You will get there! Also, do NOT forget to bring earplugs with you to the exam centre! lol!
im doing engineering in computer science so am i eligible for md programm or do i need to do mor courses?
I'm amazed at how much higher my exam scores are since I've started skipping ANY question that I am not at least 90+ percent sure on!! Literally 10+ points higher because like you said, I am maximizing the ones I CAN do!! Brilliant!!
This is kind of random but what is your zodiac sign!
Thank you so much for sharing. In my third year and looking forward to this.
As salamu alaikum.. Mam.I am 1st year medical student . I watch your video everyday and I inspaired for USMLE.. May Allah bless you..Thank you,Mam...
The PD asked me "If could be any part of a bicycle, what part would you be?"
Mam how much is your medical student loans? Plz reply. Thanks a lot.
Thanks so much for this! Heading into 4th year and absolutely terrified 😖 Would love a future video with advice on crafting a strong PS if that's possible :)
Congrats on heading into 4th year!! I was also terrified- and it seems like that's pretty common among people I talk to. I appreciate the video suggestion on crafting a strong personal statement!
Mam what type of doctor will you be in future? Plz reply. Thanks a lot.
I'll be an anesthesiologist in the future!
Did you study CMS FORMS?
Yes! Did all of them twice!!
Thanks for your important advice..❤❤❤
Hi.. Alysha..Congratulations ❤❤❤
Doc .. waiting for 2ck stuff 😊
So beautiful 🎉
Thank you! :)
Did you end up finishing your UW incorrects? I'm trying to figure out whether I should prioritize one over the other with CMS forms, since most of my UW incorrects were when I just didn't know the content in the beginning of 3rd year
I did the majority of my UW incorrects. If you don't have time for both, I'd probably prioritize CMS forms, but that is just my preference. I had a friend who scored similarly (2 points higher) and did UW incorrects and not CMS forms. There are multiple ways to succeed, so do what feels right for you. 😊
@@alyssa-do thanks!!
Yay! A new video, thank you for answering my Step 2 questions, I test in 3 weeks. Can you make a video about signaling and your residency program you matched in, interview. If you felt like they liked you? It was good or if you had zero feelings you made it?
Of course! I'd love to make a video about these concepts, thanks for the suggestions. Best of luck on Step 2 in a few weeks! 😊
Mam how much medical student loans do you have? Plz reply. Thanks a lot.
$480,000+ and growing 😅
Hello! I was wondering do you make personal schedules for students/tutor? Thank you so much
Hi! Thanks for your question. I'm not currently making schedules or tutoring, but I've heard good things about Mehlman Medical tutoring 👍
Such an inspirational video! I seem to be returning to this video as a relaxing source of inspiration. Good luck Alyssa!
Thank you! I'm glad it can be inspiring!
i see cheesy dorian isnt divided by sections, how did you unsuspended cards for the specific rotation you were on?
Thank you for the tips! Short, sweet and to the point.
Hi, I've already completed the CMS forms for the IM shelf and my shelf is in a week. Would you recommend continuing with UWorld or uw incorrect , or should I also solve internal medicine questions from the Step 2 offline forms? Are the shelf exam and these NBMEs similar in difficulty and type of questions?

Hiw long was your dedicated study for? Thanks
~5.5 weeks!
thanks for the video, it was helpful keep up the good work 😍
Thank you! Glad it helped!
please make a video on your skin care routine. You got best skin.
Thank you! My skin can actually be pretty problematic and I just don't tend to film when it looks bad lol
Congratulations!!! Hope you are happy with your match results. Such normal feelings you described leading up to match day. Prior to my match day (6 years ago, wow), I remember telling my classmates that we would all end up where we were supposed to be. Trust the process and the work you’ve put in. You will be a great anesthesiologist, and I know you will take all you have learned to care for your patients well. Residency has many ups and downs, and you will learn and grow so much over the next 4 years! Excited for you!!
Thank you so much!! I am very happy with my match results! It is a good perspective to have that you will end up where you are supposed to be. I heard of a lot of residents that didn't match at their #1 and were grateful that they didn't. I was trying to repeat that to myself over and over during match week because there is so much good (and bad, of course) in any program. 😊
Congratulations! This is a very difficult specialty to match into. Very few positions open and strong competition. Best wishes!
Thank you!!
Pls what was your UWSA2 score
262!
Hi Alyssa! Thank you for sharing so many good strategies in your video and congrats on your score :) Out of curiosity, would you be filling to share your scheduled spreadsheet for dedicated? I’ve watched a few of your videos but it would be super convenient to see how you spaced out incorrects with CMS forms and practice tests. My dedicated is also around 5.5 weeks so I figured I would sort of mirror what you did.

Hey girl! Thank you for making such informative videos, they’re all super helpful! I’m a rising 4th year hoping to pursue anesthesiology and was hoping you could share some tips/make a video about how to do well on away rotations! Do you feel like doing an away factors heavily into matching at a residency? Thank you!!!😊
Good luck pursuing anesthesia!! That is a great idea to make a video about doing well on away rotations. I matched at one of the programs I did an away at (which also happened to be my #1), so I think it was important. I know of people who also matched at their #1's without doing aways, however, and the way they seemed to do it was by reaching out to residents and attendings in the program and trying to get to know people that way.
