    Hey, when you say that you only wrote notes on UW questions you got wrong twice are you speaking about an incorrect that you would do again in dedicated and that was the first time you wrote notes? When preparing for shelfs since you didn’t do used questions then did you write notes to prepare for those?

Usually you hear people on here talking only about how they were able to study for extended periods of time relentlessly, and my need to take frequent breaks had me doubting my abilities and feeling stressed and extremely guilty. This was so reassuring, thankyou for putting this out here.

    I'm surprised with how much you could utilize ChatGPT on that level! I'd never thought that it could do the stuff you made it do! Generate questions with the literal goal of delineating differences between related diseases? Wow! I mean when I was studying , my experience with ChatGPT was very disappointing. It probably is the case that it got much better since then, but I think also the fact that is more of basic science (solid knowledge) heavy material made it really futile... LLM like ChatGPT excel at "processing" the info & details, manipulating the knowledge, the approach, the algorithms & the rather than generating info or help digging deep into the scientific basis... It's why & how the dots are connected, rather than what are the dots? or why the dots are that shape? if that makes sense... That's why it could be used in clinical knowledge exams preparation, I guess!

  • @Baraa.K.Mohammad
    @Baraa.K.Mohammad 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Hahahaha! Oh my god, your experience with the exam reminds me of mine during exam day last year! I remember that during the 3rd to 4th blocks, there was this eardrum piercing, literally screeching sounds & stomping noise... I almost lost it! The terrifying thing is that I have misophonia & my PARTICULAR trigger was stomping noises & basically any noise produced through walls. It was actually a very debilitating thing that I had to live through during my Step 1 preparation period (& most of Step 2 before moving out). I don't remember a single NBME that I have taken during the day because of my misophonia. I'd literally take my NBMEs in the middle of the night, after 3 to 4 hours of "sleep", just to be able to go through them while there was no noise! Gosh I can't believe what I did in my preparation period... It was a period of my life that I wish no one EVER has to go through! Anyways, back to the main story, lol! The stomping & screeching in my exam went on for almost 2 hours, the problem is that the proctors literally said that they can't do anything! I mean imagine going to the most (actually 2nd most) important exam in your life & your archnemesis is lurking around the corner just to show up when you least expect it! The very thing that messed my life up during preparation showed up in the real deal! That is what literally happened to me... but when you go through what I had to go through during my early journey. You are not gonna go back... I was like, Ok, are you kidding me? If it's gonna be this way then I don't care... Is it a challenge? You can't beat me! It was a miracle! I passed , my is gonna be soon... I'm hoping to get a great score like yours. I just wanna share an advice to all of those who made it this far: Don't let these exams or anything else in life get to you! You are stronger than you think, and the road is full of & bumps, sometimes straight up barricades, but with a bit of endurance and a leap of faith... You will get there! Also, do NOT forget to bring earplugs with you to the exam centre! lol!

    Did you end up finishing your UW incorrects? I'm trying to figure out whether I should prioritize one over the other with CMS forms, since most of my UW incorrects were when I just didn't know the content in the beginning of 3rd year

    • @alyssa-do
      @alyssa-do หลายเดือนก่อน

      I did the majority of my UW incorrects. If you don't have time for both, I'd probably prioritize CMS forms, but that is just my preference. I had a friend who scored similarly (2 points higher) and did UW incorrects and not CMS forms. There are multiple ways to succeed, so do what feels right for you. 😊

    Hey girl! Thank you for making such informative videos, they’re all super helpful! I’m a rising 4th year hoping to pursue anesthesiology and was hoping you could share some tips/make a video about how to do well on away rotations! Do you feel like doing an away factors heavily into matching at a residency? Thank you!!!😊

    • @alyssa-do
      @alyssa-do หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good luck pursuing anesthesia!! That is a great idea to make a video about doing well on away rotations. I matched at one of the programs I did an away at (which also happened to be my #1), so I think it was important. I know of people who also matched at their #1's without doing aways, however, and the way they seemed to do it was by reaching out to residents and attendings in the program and trying to get to know people that way.
