How did I strategically use ANKI to score highly on Step 2CK?

I've been getting a lot of questions about how I used ANKI for the USMLE Step 2CK exam. I used the "Cheesy Dorian" deck, and I only used it towards the beginning of each rotation. Once I went through the information once, I never saw it again. I chose not to use ANKI during dedicated. This is just what I did, but always do what works best for you. Good luck!

i see cheesy dorian isnt divided by sections, how did you unsuspended cards for the specific rotation you were on?

May I ask how u studied for surgery and OBGYN pls? Was uworld enough? Thanks

I actually just recorded a video about my shelf exams and how I studied for them, and I’ll be posting it in the next couple weeks! Surgery and OBGYN weren’t my strongest shelf exams. However, I did find that what worked for me on my later shelf exams was to complete all of the UW questions (and incorrects if I had time), NBME CMS forms, and the cheesy dorian ANKI deck for that specialty. When I did all this, I usually scored really well!

Did you ever use the first aid for step 2 ? I hear a lot of negative things about it

I didn't use the first aid book specifically made for Step 2, but I did actually use the first aid for step 1 book as a refresher towards the end of dedicated. 😊
